Any delays in the cllimb, BIll. The 450 handle it alright?
-
Seriously, get Linda one of those canes. I don't think she will regret it. I'm good, mostly, throughout the day it's getting up from laying or sitting that the first few steps give me the probelm. In stores I'm the cart pusher - something to lean on. Mostly okay, just every once in a while I feel that urge to be off balance.
-
Herman, unlike the picture I'll camouflage it. Think it will work?
-
I"m gonna build me one of those!
-
Carl, y'all be careful and get it taken care of. Get Linda a cane and it will help with balance.

Worked on doing a little organizing of the MH bays this morning and removing some items that have not been used in years. When I quit at 12 p.m., it was 90˚ with a heat index of 104˚. Stay in Florida Joe.
-
We are trying to leave hear on July 1st...heading North, but Joe is a lot cooler than we are here in Texas City. It has been in the high 90's with heat index around 108...wish I were in FL. Nice looking place Joe.

Yep, Coca Cola may work, but also try Bounce Dryer Sheets. Wet window, clean with dryer sheets in sections and rinse off. Might ahve to use a brush with soapy water but usually the dryer sheet material will rinse off. Use them on Telephone Bugs (Love Bugs) all over. Call the telephone bugs because they are always hung up.

The Studebaker Museum in South Bend was very interesting. I used to have a 1950 Studebaker. Never new if it was coming or going.

Ray, I understand that but it seems to shift faster to the next gear and it does as you say, staying in gear longer. At lease with my system it seems that way. I'll break out the Freightliner manual and give it a SWAG.
-
As Bill stated. The economy mode is just to let the transmission shift a little faster. In the book they mention that in hilly or mountainous country to not use the economy mode as the transmission will be shifting more frequently. I have not noticed a difference in fuel economy using either mode. As stated, when going up steep hills down shift to a gear that will maintain about 2000 rpms. This should keep the engine temperature at a reasonable level. With my other 340hp MH there were mountains going west where I was at 25 mph and some times a little less and in 2nd gear. "The journey is the destination," enjoy it.

What food do you prepare in advance?
wayne77590 replied to obiwan_canoli's topic in General Discussion
Herman, the Instant Pot can be used as a slow cooker. I have done baby back ribs many a time in the Instant pot (IP). Only difference between mine and what Kay has is that after the 30 minute cook time in the instant pot I put them on an oven sheet, top them with BBQ sauce and place under the broiler to caramelize the sauce. What Kay has could be better for RV travel as it will save the convection oven from getting splattered during the carmalization. Both are limited to how many you can do at one time. My 8 quart will do 2 to almost 3 racks. The saute function has 3 settings, low, medium and high so warming can be done. They also have WiFi capable IP's so you can start your meal from sight seeing. I make a fabulous clam chowder in my IP. Here is a good link that I use for some recipies: Pressure Luck Cooking p.s., a 3 or 5 pound pork roast is about 50-60 minutes and is finger licking good for pulled pork. Here is a good link on using the IP as a Slow Cooker -

Yes, I have seen those and seen YouTube videos but for now I'm going to stick to my two pots and especially the griddle. -
With no wheel on the back of the SUV I'm saying it is photo-shopped!

We take a few frozen left-overs with us but mainly cook fresh things. We have an Instant Pot, Air Fryer, and Blackstone 22" Griddle. The possibilities are very large with those three appliances. The left overs would be for the one night stops. -
I can't quite make out what is wrong with the rear wheel on the SUV towing the man cave.

We have used Bank of the West a few times and their rates and customer service has been very good.

I"m not sure if Android has the same capability, but Apple TV will Mirror an iPhone and no wireless network is necessary. It does it strictly between the iPhone and Apple TV. There is an app for the Android called AllCast that will stream from phone to Apple TV. Not the cheapest way to get it done, but ATV is a one time fee. I don't know what AllCast's costs are. Search on "How to Connect Your Android Phone to HDMI" without the quotes. Here is One Result

It's all about today's permissive society, and the bottom dollar. If you do not get satisfaction from the owner/manager, be sure to leave a review on Campground Reviews. Be honest and review both the good and bad things at the campground. Many in our world visit camground reviews before booking reservations, or stopping. My pet peeve is dogs not on a leash or tethered. -
If'n you are a hankerin' to use duct tape, go with the Gorrilla tape, it should last a few more seconds. If'n you are going to replace it, heat it up before you bend it.
