  1. Nav 1, you can shovel all that white stuf right back up a BC. I lived in it for 19 years of my life. Up until I got my driver's license it was fun to play in. That was then, and this is now...no more white stuff. It is 10:30 here and temp is 42˚. Supposed to be a high of 62˚ today.
  2. 8 States, 14 campgrounds, 3261 miles. Drycamping! What's that?
  3. Now that picture just plain makes me miserable! It is New Years Day, 8:58 p.m and the outside temerature is 73˚ We are going to have some hight 40's, low 50's for 2 days then back into the 70's. Happy New Year y'all!
  4. Odor, what odor. That's what clothes pins are for. Oh, clothes pins - those were the two pieces of stick held together by a spring clip that held the wash on the lines. The only dryers back then was God given air! Some of the TP back then was like sand paper. Not really meant for today's RV world. As BM02tj said, if it passes the water jar test it should be good to go for the RV. Even with two macerator toilets we still use Angel Soft.
  5. Yesterday T'was the night before Christmas. Today: Merry Christmas to all. May you all have blessed happiness today.
  6. Prior to the Sears catalogue it was a rock and a wet finger!
  7. I tried using the Spam Mail coming to the house mailbox, but it was to slick at times and to rough at other times. My age lets me remember the Winter trek to the quarter moon door about 100 ft from the house. Those were definitely Sears Catalogue pages.
  8. We have used Angel Soft for over a decade.
  9. Under no circumstances do you want to plug it into the clothes dryer outlet in the house. That is 240v. You will damage the RV electrical considerably if you plug into the dryer plug. The 30A RV supply is 120v exactly like the plug for appliances in the house. The difference being that the house is 20A for common household items and the RV is 30 amp. The three plugs on the 30A are: Ground (round plug) Hot spade (black wire) and Neutral spade (white wire). The 50Amp plug is totally different. Make sure that whoever installs the receptacle understands the differences. This may help: 30A RV Service
  10. Only one sling. Pad and straps are removable and re-stuck on the Velcro for whichever arm it is needed on. Guess they charge twice the price and reduce the amour of slings they have to hand out.
  11. Herman, that big box is so you can send me a nice Christmas gift. Thanks ahead of time.
  12. Rotator cuff surgery October 19th. Six weeks with the albatross of a sling around my neck. Typing one hand until sling was gone. Last two week was physical therapy, motion only - no weight. Best thing was the doctor told Earlene I could not push-pull the vacuum cleaner. I told him that the first time she asked me to vacuum I got down and pulled, and pulled, and pulled on that cord, then looked up and said, "It won't start!" Worked...well for the past several years but I think that may change soon.
  13. DB, He probably has mirrors on the ceiling also!😇
  14. In the MH, mine is centered at the bottom of the windshield. Transferred to the TOAD it is behind the rear view mirror.
  15. Bring it alive! For those who have dome antennas, DTV does not provide HD. Dish does. DTV does not have a local TV antenna, Dish does and it works well. Plug it into the USB port, scan for channels on the satellite receiver and voila, guide and all on the receiver. DTV can record 5 channels at a time. Dish, using the Hopper can record 16 at one time. When and if I call for support or to change my local channels to the zip code I'm in, I ask for technical support. I don't wish to speak with the guy sitting on an upsidedown 5 gallon bucket in the middle of a desert using a laptop or smaller device.
  16. Welcome Greg! We live in Texas City and leave for the Summer for cooler climates.

  18. Mike, I feel your loss. Need stronger punishment time in my opinion.
  19. I like going up thr Delaware Water Gap by picking up 209 to I-84. (222 and 33 come to mind out of the Lancaster area but it's been a few years). I'm sure you have a better handle on the area.
