  1. Eric, you should have an Allison 3000 six speed electric two stage engine brake transmission. Not sure about the two speed engine brake on your year, but I'll bet it is the same as mine. According to the manual the fluid change interval is 150,00 miles. I think you are good to go! p.s., I have a 2015 but the serial number is a 10T1 which indicates it was manufactured in 2014. I have some subtle but appreciated differences on the inside. A 3 burner gas range and analog control panel which I like, I think better than digital. Push buttons for slide operation instead of digital, etc.
  2. Buy a hook type ladder to hook over the window frame to assist in getting down. It could be stored in the closet. Also, if you ever have to use the exit take the comforter off the bed and throw it over the window edge to keep from getting scraped. A folding type hook ladder would store easier inside the MH. Rope ladders are okay but my belief is that one has to be nimble to desend a rope ladder in those conditions. Consider that a broken ankle, foot, leg is a small alternative to burning alive.
  3. Try using campgroundreveiws.com . Click on the state then the town you will be traveling trhough and if they have campgrounds someone has most likely stayed there and given a review. It will list all the amenities and then some.
  4. Unbelievable! (I believe you, just the benefits part that is unbelievable. So sorry for your loss!
  5. Earlene's arm is still sore. l have no affects from the shot, not even a sore arm. Hmmm! I wonder if the syringe had vaccine in it! Hmmm!
  6. The worst was the GG shot before going to VN. (GG= gamma globulin)
  7. Got shot today. Well, Earlene got one shot and I got the other of the 2nd round of MODERNA COVID-19 vaccine. The line was long and it took about 1 hour and 45 minutes from time of of car to time back in car. All in all, not bad. Long line as more and more people are getting there first shot, and those of us getting our second. Someone commented about wondering if we would have to do it again next year. My response was, "If it is advised, I'll be back." Earlene's arm is sore - I don't feel a thing. Must be a MAN thing.
  8. Maybe charge a small fee for submitting a For Sale. I'd say get a 1% commission but to many would never indicate that they sold. Sorry, it happens.
  9. Oh no! Pork should be at 135-145˚F, or sometimes called Medium. Just a little pink on the inside depending if you are on the 135 or the 145 side, with 135 more rare. Nice and juicy. The lower side of medium is chewy and the well done side is dry. 140-145 is a little on the medium rare side and I prefer 145, pull it off the grill at about 140˚. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Trichinae is killed off at 137˚F.
  10. I don't wish to see ads per se, just a classified section for users to post their RV items for sale. It would be moderated just like the forum is moderated. Bad classified, delete it. I'm talking about a click on section that would take one to a thread, like this is a thread, where items for sale could be listed. No advertisement from businesses or outsiders, just forum users.
  11. I don't really want to get into a tizzy-fit here but I personally believe that the post about having a classified add section is a valid feedback. It's not like it is going to be a thread that is going to pop-up every time someone accesses the forum, but only on the individual user's demand. I would use it, if nothing more than to see what things are selling for.
  12. I like this one: "FMCA reserves the right to change these rules as necessary to meet any future needs that may arise." Might be they could consider future needs of a classified section.

  14. 1 inch minimum on all steaks. Cook to an internal temperature of 130˚, remove from grill and let sit of 5 minutes. Perfect every time. Or, place on grill 4-5 minutes and should slightly char, then flip and cook additional 3-5 minutes for medium rare. Lower the time for Moo cooked. About 8-10 minutes for medium well. Twelve minutes should qualify for tearing into pieces and use as charcoal.😇

Thanks for the response but note that this thread is 3 years old. I had forgotten about it.
  16. Well, several times but it could have been in spite!
  17. Roland, I'll holler if'n we git down that there way!
  18. Mike, I'm with you. We're going to Port Aransas or other parts down that way and maybe even further South. Just going to let my Son's birthday come and go, then we are gone. Herman! I was kidding and I'll bet Carl knew it! But thanks.
  19. Story: I was in VN and my oldest was in 1st grade. Spent the first half of the school year here then went to Central Mass. for the remaining school year. One day he came home just a cryin' to beat the storm. My wife asked what was wrong and he said the the teach put a pointed cap on him, sat him in a corner and all the children were laughing and the teacher called him a dunce. My wife asked him what he did wrong and he said, "I call her Ma'am. " She marched down to the school and confronted the teach and gave her the what-for-all on Southern upbringing and if he had not call her Ma"am or a man Sir he would have been in more trouble than sitting in a corner. An understanding was made and it was explained to the other 1st graders the next day. End story. Dunce! Think not. Retired Colonel and a Lawyer.
  20. I'm gonna get in my boat with 4 wheels and go somewhere, and soon.
  21. Sir! Darren is either a good ol' Southern gentleman or former military.
  22. If you do the research it takes 3 hours of cooking alcohol to reduce it to 5%. One hour reduces the alcohol to 35% and 2 hours to 25%. Ok, I'll research it again. Here is one link: Food Network Another: Idaho State University Times vary And: What's Cooking America So in my humble opinion, alcohol does not burn off completely when cooking food. Myth busted! p.s., lots more links if you search for: "does alcohol burn off when cooking" without quotes.
