  1. That is quite a project. Bill
  2. But you can heat your wet bay. On my last coach I used a small ceramic heater with a built in fan. It was small enough to keep it away from anything it might damage. Yet the fan circulated the heat and kept everything above freezing. I liked to run a heavy duty extension cord just for the heater. I like a 12/3 but you might get buy on a 16/3 cord. I also plugged all the airleaks/drafts I could with foam insulation to keep it warmer. You hear people talking about just using a light bulb for heat but I never felt this gave enough protection if it happened to drop realey cold. Bill
  3. I don't know which would be the best. I have never tried the commercial ones. I made one a long time back. But I use a different method now. I fill my onboard tank and disconnect and drain the water hose. It is a good idea to store it where it is warm. You will also be wise to close your gray water drain (some leave it open) and drain your sewer hose. You don't want a 3"X10' popsicle. Also make shure your wet bay is heated. Where are you planning on staying in the cold weather? Is it at a campground? Bill
  4. Good I have advocated expanding the tire program. I was hoping they would add all of the Continental line to the program. Well back home. Ray, I know what you mean. You have done a lot to your coach and have it in good shape. Then you would have to start over. Bill
  5. I would rather do a traditional spin balance. I don't have any experience with the beads because I won't use them. Bill
  6. I found this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfx0ewR9AW4 I knew I would get the McDonalds answer. 🤣🤣 Well at Roadrunner RV Park, 4740 S I-35 Service Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73129. Nice park just off I-35. You have to use Google to see it because it is all but invisible from the road. Had to get a tire on the CR-V fixed as I picked up a screw some place. It was a real slow leak but they can turn into a fast one so I went to Discount Tire hear in OKC. Ray hope they make up their mind. Which way are you leaning fix or replace? Bill
  7. We are headed back to FW and the heat. Tonight we are in/at Downstream Casino Resort. You can stay in the RV park free at least one night if you sine up for a players card. Power and water only. I learned/saw something I had never never heard of or seen. A plastic beer cup (like a solo cup only clear) with about a one inch hole in the bottom covered with a magnetic disk. Important health and safety notice disturbing the disk will cause a loss of beer. They said it was so they could fill them from the bottom. Who knew this was a big needed improvement. Bill
  8. Thanks for the insight. I had heard you could but don't have any experience. Bill
  9. I agree, while some useful information is shared hear it could still be found using the search function. I see no need to change. Can you guess where I am tonight? Bill
  10. Yes that is the best method look in the owners manual for towing instructions under "Recreational Towing" and some times it is even listed as "Towing Behind Motorhome". Have you looked at the FMCA Towing guide? Bill
  11. You need to understand just how serious they take this. Best practice is to purge any evidence that there ever was a wepon on board. Make ABSOLUTLEY certain there is no ammo, this includes empty brass, cleaning supply's, holsters ect. You may be held for ammo and will be selected for extra attention search. They can dismantle your RV and toad and they don't have to put it back together. Bill
  12. Jim is right. That is the only way to tell. Bill
  13. What is the number on it? Bill
  14. So why is that a problem? dbenoit, What ever you decide on cleaning with acetone is your friend. I would also use tape to mask the seems to get a good bead. Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully Ernie Ekberg will see it and offer a comment. Ernie Ekberg's Flooring on Facebook, https://groups.io/g/ErnieEkbergFlooring Bill
  16. Welcome to the FMCA forums!! Add your information to your signature to get better answers faster. See rayin's sig as a example. Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. Could be several things. Wayne listed a couple. I will say a 2010 shouldn't be in to bad of shape. Most likely is a dirty/dry (lack of lube) shaft. Yes I know some claim you shouldn't oil or lube the shaft. Strange though we were required to lube the hydraulic shafts in airplanes regularly so the dry shaft didn't damage the internal seals. Also the shafts on the jacks only extend under hydraulic preshure. They retract under spring tension. I know of several who have replaced the springs with stronger ones. I also think the jacks are a system that likes to be exercised like many of your outher systems. Let us know what you find. Bill
  18. Yes there is lots of traffic. Were you on I-40? The truck traffic is always heavy. Often filling both lanes. We were through there last month. I-95 is the same way. Made for a long day going from RI to MA. Where are you headed? We are in RI for a week then head west. Bill
  19. I thought I would do this because some are wondering what it cost out there. These are my numbers for this year so far for me. Your results may Varey. I was adding in my fuel stop today to Gas Buddy and noticed That I was at 1000.469 gal so far this year. on 07/20/2022. So far the mileage is 6.52 now this is without any compensation for Oasis use or generator use. For example my dash mileage today from the White Mountains (River brook Campground & RV Park,1120 Rumney Rte 25, Rumney, NH) down to the Mystic KOA Holiday was7.8 some times over 8.4. I thought that was pretty good considering the conditions/traffic. Interesting how many steep hills there are on this route. Average price this year 5.334 per gal. Yes I did a little better but not everyone has a EFS card. My cost today was $4.64 when the pump price was 5.099. One last bit of useless information, average fill up $335.154. Hope that helps someone. Bill
  20. To bad, but some people are bothered with all the hi prices. Bill
  21. I agree with Jim. But it seams to be a few who keep up the complaining. I have ben on the road and haven't experienced all the hoarer stories/problems. Yes you will find some places there is no signal. I haven't tested for speed but like now, wife is streaming a movie and I am on hear. I can watch You Tube at the same time she is watching her movie. What is the problem? Bill
  22. Strange that the batteries are that different in charge. The 12.8 are full charge and the 11.3 dead. Sounds like something isn't hooked up right. Bill
  23. It is late you should get some rest. We left home 06/11, currently in Freeport Main. Bill
