You should not need the inverter when the generator is running or when you are on shore power. Jim
  2. If you need any parts for a LRM 1200 Norcold, I have all of the parts, the price is right, just pay for the shipping. This offer also applies to any other readers. Jim

Rich, Have you tried to reset the E05 error code by de-energizing the 12 V DC supply to the inverted and after a few seconds re-en3rgize it. Jim
  4. Carl, Do you remember the rating/brand of the NAPA house batteries that you installed? Thanks, Jim
  5. I have the magnum battery monitor and it has been a great tool to enable me to monitor my battery charge level. One note to consider before purchasing you will need to determine if your inverter/charger and monitor/controller software is high enough revision to support the battery monitor. In my situation I found that CPU in the inverter/charger would not support the higher software revision and I had to replace the CPU board ($140), I was fortunate that the monitor/controller was had the capability to allow them to install the higher version of software. I contacted Magnum and they offered to install the upgrade software at no charge. Since I live in WA state I was able to drop by their headquarters in Everett WA and there were able to install the upgrade while I waited (5 minutes) Jim
  6. Sanmar, Is there any access to lube the slides or screw mechanism? My coach is a 2004 and have never performed any PM on it. Thanks, Jim
  7. The stair well operators were manufactured by Kwikee now Lepper as stated by manholt. If you look at iRV2 form you will find several post that offer suggestions for repairs. Jim

    Body Side Trim

If you look under the bottom end of the trim under the motorhome you will be able to see the two pieces that make up the trim assembly (track and trim) the trim is secured to the track with one small sheet metal screw. Once you remove the screw the trim can be separated from the track. The trim actually snaps over the track. You will need to remove the trim when it is warm it is quite still when cold. I had no problem removing the trim without damaging the paint. I would try by only removing a small section from the bottom first to make sure you aren't damaging the paint. Jim

    Body Side Trim

I have the same trim on my rig, I removed a section above the entrance door to repair a leak. Once you remove the rubber trim you will find the track fastened with pop rivets. I drilled the heads off and pushed in the part that remained. I believe you will find that the rear cap is lapped over the side panel and it will not allow you to access the loose fastener. I would check on the inside of the coach to determine if there is a fastener that was installed from the inside that is causing the problem. Jim

Do you have a residential refrigerator runs on 120V AC power only or a RV refrigerator that operated either on propane or 120V AC. A inverter converts a DC voltage to AC (typically 12v DC to 120v AC on a RV) A converter converts a AC voltage to DC (typically 120v AC to 12v DC on a RV) We will need more information to help you solve your problem. 13. We don't have Stewart & Stevenson in the Pacific NW, the closest Allison service is Western Star in Ridgefield, WA their quote is $480, it that in the ballpark? Jim
  14. Brett., I have TranSynd fluid, thought it was good for extended mileage. I purchased the rig 6 years ago with 29,000 miles, I now have 55,000 miles. I have no record when the fluid or filter were last changed. I tried the mileage calculator but it didn't seem to apply to RV trips, you had to enter miles per day, hours per day and days per week to get a calculation. Thanks for the response. Jim
  15. How often do you change you Allison 3000 filters? Can you change the filters without draining the fluid? Jim
  16. I had a cable system on my last motorhome, had it for 11 years. The system worked flawlessly, I did replace the cable due frayed strands. I replaced the cable myself, I would rate the degree of difficulty a 5 on scale of 1-10. On the plus side, it simple and majority of replacement parts are inexpensive and easy to find and the support guides are easily accessible. The down side it does require preventative to lubricate the cable rollers, the guide rollers and check tensioning of the cable. Jim
  17. I have found that most tail light and head light assemblies used on motorhome are actually PU and car assemblies. I would start by searching for pictures of tail light assembles on the internet to see if you can find a match. Take a look on ebay, you may find what you need. Jim
  18. Welcome aboard , nice rig! Jim
  19. Most thermocouples only produce a few millivolts, the output voltage will be proportional to the temperature. Jim
  20. Without a wiring diagram for your unit it is difficult to troubleshoot your problem. with the the information provided I would start by releasing your parking brake and pump your brake peddle a couple of times. I'm thinking that there is a pressure switch in you brake system that senses that the parking brake is set before it will enable the leveling system. If you can located that switch you could bypass it and see if the corrects your problem. Jim
  21. I have a 04 HR Endeavor and also have Samsung residential refrigerator that I run on the original modified sine wave inverter. I just have it plugged into the receptacle that supplied the ice maker in the old Norcold. Jim
  22. I assume the part that you a calling the nipple on the tensioner is a dowel that established the tensioner position. Have you checked to determine that dowel is not bottoming out in hole. I would check hole for debris and also check the length of the dowel pin. Jim
