  1. Beautiful coach!!!!!! Enjoy it while you can. Jim
  2. I started out with no latches, the refrigerator doors never opened, but the freezer drawer did open occasionally. Jim B
  3. I used 2 Sugatsune HC-85/s latches that I purchased from amazon.com. I placed one at the top of the refrigerator doors and the other latched on the right refrigerator door to secure the freezer draw out door. I chose to secure the latched with double stick tape that is rates to secure a 30 lb pull per sq in of tape. I cut the heads off of the SS screws that were provided with the latched and used JB weld to secure the screw heads in the holes. I didn't want to drill holes in the refrigerator doors, was scared that I might drill in to something that was important. I have has no problem with door opening. Jim
  4. LeeB7, Not sure of your location, but I have a Norcold 1200 that I will give to you. Maybe between the two you can make one that would work. Jim B
  5. If the new black box has tripped you will have no 12 v power to the refrigerator and the display on the refrigerator will not work. Jim

    Onan 5500 Issues

Yes, that's the way I would do it. By doing it that way you are eliminating the installed fuel lines. Jim
  7. You will have to reset the control board after the second no-cool display. You can find the instruction on the internet. You will have to remove the cover from the circuit board, only issue is limited access. Jim

    Onan 5500 Issues

I has a 5000 w Kohler gas generator on for last MH and it ran two 13,000 btu air conditioners OK if I kept the generator tuned up. I changes the spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter annually.. The coach wiring prevented from running both AC units when connected to a 20 amp circuit. Jim
  9. I made two yoke shaped brackets that secure two front adjustment legs to the floor. Jim
  10. I just purchase a couple of 2/0 cables from Amazon, they were real flexible and a good price. Jim
  11. What does cost to dispose of the old Norcold, anyone need some cheap parts. I'm want it out of my shop. Jim
  12. I got the RF-19 Samsung thru the door on my HR Endeavor 40'. I only had to remove the screen door, driver and passenger seats and the doors from the new refrigerator to get in the coach. These new refrigerators are really light compared to the old ones. Jim
  13. I was lucky on mine the area below had some plumbing, bit I was able to lower it enough to get the required height. My wife is really enjoying the new residential refrigerator. Jim
  14. Samsung still offer RF 18 model in the shallow counter version that should replace you Norcold 1200. On modifications required go increase height by about 1.5". I made the swap last year, only draws 1 amp at 120 v AC which equated to approx 10 amps at 12 v DC. and works fine on modified since wave inverter. Jim
  15. Sounds like the pump is not developing designed pressure. I would first check to determine that you have proper voltage to the pump to insure pump is reaching designed RPM's. You can isolate one cylinder at a time to see if the pump capacity is capable to extend one cylinder at a time. You could have one cylinder that bypassing internally and preventing the system from reaching full pressure. Use caution when testing not to lift just one corner of the rig. Jim
  16. It's my understanding that the motorhome propane tanks don't require recertification, they are fabulous under ASTME standards. I confirmed this with my local propane distributed. Jim
  17. I has a similar problem where I could 't fill my tank or get city water. The house would run free when disconnected from RV with faucet open. Finally got camp host to check campground provided backflow prevented, found that backflow preventer was faulty. Jim
  18. We were in Deadwood SD last fall and you see lots of ATV's that are licensed and driving on state roads. Didn't see any on state roads in vicinity of Mt Rushmore. Jim .
  19. I had the same problem once and found that the connection on the microwave had a bad connection and had gotten real hot. The use those cheap t.v. receptacles the the wire is only fastend by held by friction of the wire pressed in a slot. Jim
  20. Have you tried repairing it yourself? I know I would't hesitate to tear into it, you don't have anything to lose since it's not working. My brother-in-law has the same unit in is rig from the surface it looks like pretty old-fashioned, I expect you are only dealing with a high resistant contact, I would start by cleaning contacts and looking for loose connections and shorts. Jim
  21. Sounds like the left rear brake didn't set during the last 280 miles of his trip, I'm thinking that the diaphragm partially failed on the left rear and dumped his air and with the travel it temporally sealed itself then dumped the air again. Not sure if this makes and scents. In any circumstances I would also want to check the brake shoes and drum. Jim
  22. I would also check the air pod on the left rear brake to make sure that the diaphragm hasn't ruptures. Jim B
  23. Sounds like a fuel problem to me. The fuel sloshing in the tank may cause the generator fuel pick up to suck air. I would start by temporally installing an alternate fuel source to the generator to see if it solves the problem. Jim
  24. Received word from Grizzly that that had opens dates in September, I have submitted my reservation request, they have acknowledged my request and indicated response within 72 hours. Jim
