Yes, she could be in the back sleeping and still give direction. -

There is a big fuse panel in the left front compartment door. You remove that panel 2 thumb screws and flip the panel to read the fuse number chart to find what number slot the fuse is in. Good luck!

Tuffy was found. I started up the RV yesterday to air up the tires and and he thought we were leaving without him. So he got into the RV and hid in the back. He is back to his old self again. -
Our Holiday Travel Misadventure-- So Far
huffypuff replied to huffypuff's topic in General Discussion
I dragged this post out of the archive because we are going to hit the road again this coming Saturday for another misadventure. Everything is fixed from last time and freshly serviced new filters fuel and oil front and rear. Serviced batteries and all appliance and generator tested OK. The water heater flame is a little fussy staying lit the first time but is golden afterward. All lights are goods and aired up the tire. DW is loading what she wants to take including wine. Tuffy heard the motorhome start up and he been in hiding for the rest of the day. He never stayed out more than a day and we need to find him before we leave. We are going to travel to the east coast this year. -

Here we go about Norcold again. The Norcold in my coach works fine going on 12 years old. I have an aftermarket safety device installed, not the problem black box.
-
Unfortunately for us, when the outlets and such quit working on our generator it was internal generator damage. A wiring harness went bad to the generator inverter and took out the inverter with it. $4K later it is fixed. I hope the problem with yours is more simple.

The dual gauge is the air supply on mine. Check for leaks with the parking brakes on and with it off. Be sure to block the wheels on a level surface before releasing the parking brake.
-
Are you talking about the air suspension or the air supply? In either case I would expect an air leaks that could be anywhere on the coach or the governor on or near the air compressor.

I just had my coach annual service at Freightliner Northwest. The shop foreman showed me a recent year DutchStar that caught on fire in the engine compartment. The engine had to be removed and repainted along with inside and back of the coach. It was sitting there waiting for an engine wiring harness along with batteries cables. Seem that a battery cable shorted on the frame and cause the fire. Now DutchStar is supposed to be recalled the models with the Freightliner chassis. Insurance is paying for it and it's lucky the entire coach didn't burn up.

Somehow it feels like I'm on a Good Sams site looking for Camping world. I knew this would happen as it's all about the $ not to stay exclusive. -

2004 Monaco Diplomat PDQ Electrical Help Needed
huffypuff replied to N2WKENDS's topic in Type A motorhomes
If there is power to the thermostat there is also a reset procedure. If you have the style that has 5 buttons from top to bottom the procedure is below. If you have the style with the buttons running across from side to side then the cover can be removed, pull the glass fuse for about 5 mins and it should reset. Country used both types of controllers. 5 button control reset Turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF position. Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to ON. FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE and ZONE push-buttons are released. -
I google the number off my tail lights and change them to LEDs Didn't cost very much for a pair of the. Same as 2002 Dodge pickup.

Value Of Used Norcold 1210 w/icemaker
huffypuff replied to Roadrunner2's topic in Systems and Appliances
The same Norcold in my 12 years old coach works fine earthquake after earthquakes year after year. The only problem I had with it is the little panic box installed by dealer. I replaced that with a thermo-controller. -

I can open any padlock with two open end wrenches. You never believe how easy it is.
-
A hacksaw would cut through that plastic box real quick and the padlock would fall to the ground. Useless

Hardwire also protect your coach from a bad cord and reel.
