Potential Safety Issue with Thor Class A Coaches
huffypuff replied to fzeuner's topic in Type A motorhomes
Good catch. -
To my surprise my Rand McNally is working after the last online update. I don't know for how long but it fine for now.
-
I got some more today as well as third party on FMCA behalf. I have everything deselected in my settings and now have no choice be to report all as spam. It needs to stop as I not only didn't just ask to stop the bad but all email.
-
You answer your own question when you stated the valve is very tight and hard to turn. It seems to me it must be a bad clogged valve and/or the inlet screen is blocked.
-
I was getting sick of it too so I turned the first option off of no emails. I don't have time for spam mail and will be deleted without reading anyway.
-
I click the avoid toll on the GPS, problem solved.

Has anyone else have experience with Rand McNally? If so what did you to resolve it up to and including refund? I thought about filing a complaint with their local BBS.

2010 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 42skq Dash A/C Compressor
huffypuff replied to bigkelly's topic in Electrical
Yes, I was talking old school but it could have receiver dryer or a accumulator with dryer. In either case you will have to replace the orifice or the expansion valve depending which it has. When a compressor goes bad metal chips mixes with the oil and all that oil must be flushed out. There be no mixing with old oil and ester just match the requirement of new compressor and be sure to put enough in to coat all internals, not just the compressor. Also I forgot to mention is before charging, put the system under vacuum and do a leak down test for at least 30 minutes before recharging. . -

Since you got it out take it to a chassis truck parts counter to match up as it is more likely heavy duty. Don't forget replacing receiver dryer, orifice flushing out condenser, evaporator and lines. Then add the proper amount of oil and recharge the system. -
My old GPS died internally after 7 years of use and had to be replaced. I picked what supposed to be the latest and greatest GPS from Rand McNally while finishing up winter trip February 2017. Right away it started having problems with it freezing up and was told by tech support to run updates using my computer to fix it. I sure couldn't do it on the road and had to wait until I got home to have internet fast enough to update about 345 files. In the meantime I had errors such as no legal route, freezing and lost communication. There was times we were better off using Google maps on the phone than the new GPS. Finally when we got home I was able to run updates on it and fixed some of the problems but it continued to freeze most of the time when turning on after a stop. I called Rand McNally tech support again and had to send the unit in for repairs. Finally after about a month I got a replacement unit. I had to run update on that unit also for it to operate like a GPS suppose to but it still freeze. I have to go to the back of the unit and press the reset button with a ink pen to get it going again. Tech support is very poor and I could of brought a cheap better unit at WalMart. Well live and learn but I will recommend everyone to stay away from Rand McNally GPS units.

Big Slide Will Not Retract & Is Cocked Slightly
huffypuff replied to thefinestperf1's topic in Slideouts
I have system similar to what Carl said. It dropped a bolt out of a rod/shaft and got out of alignment and stopped. I had to get the gears line up and install grade 8 bolt and nut. How embarrassing as I just arrive with a chapter and had many watch and just as many try to help. -
You can see the second wire on the left had the greenie meanies.
-
Under the coach to wire bundle on top of frame behind front door steps. Had to crawl under the coach to find the break in the wire to the two remote switches
-
Look under my profile and pictures. You will see a picture of a bad connector I found under the coach going to generator remote start. Trace the wiring from the generator to the switch until you find it.

FMCA & Verizon Offers Specifics?
huffypuff replied to smitty777's topic in RV Internet to Go/Staying in Touch
That's how things get pushed around. Sorry I couldn't help it. Maybe there be a FMCA booth at Cowlitz County Event Center this June. I will be sure to ask someone about it. -
I just logged out and in so it's working for me using Chrome.

I have it on the home page on upper right corner.

The Sirus is expiring at the end of this month on my pickup and they already sent me an offer to keep it on for $30 for the first six months. Temping since they added the Beatles channel. I'm surprise that you can't find a channel you like as there is so many kinds to switch around to. Sill I wouldn't keep it unless it's cheap as free is almost as good.
