Thanks, I went to the Crutchfield site and found a easy replacement for 11 year old Dual Stereo. New one will have blue tooth input for phone and audio and use the same plug so no rewiring or modification to the dash. Good update as it only cost $79 - 99.

I second that opinion. I deep six the recall box and no more resets for me.

It's not just Wall drugs anymore as it since expanded to many gift shops. Don't take too long to go through them and you can get a good lunch discounted for veterans. We were happy to visit there with our RV.

Mine has a slide on the roof units to change from duct to outlet at the unit. I can't believe they stopped doing that.

Yes but even then it would have to come out to get the real panel off that includes the three front ones.

AndyShane, I feel your pain and know at my age there is no reason for IRV2 to correct me like a little kid. I told one of the moderators there to delete all traces of me every visiting their forum.

120 VAC Shuts Off When Running Both AC's On Genny
huffypuff replied to ellisjte's topic in Electrical
I made the test easy when I lost 120 power. I went to the generator output cover and found 0 voltage there. Same at the ATS no 120 there. The readout from the EMS panel would show 30 amps but none being used even with the generator shut off. The EMS panel would reset as soon as I plugged into shore power. Funny how electronics would act when not getting the correct voltages. -

You have to get the panels off the generator and looking near the winding there be a box with fins on it. Since the panels are off put a new water pump belt on. You may have to remove the generator for the job as mine had to come out because it didn't slide out enough. -

I'm not sure what inverter you are talking about but what I stated is the inverter inside the generator itself. The generator makes DC volts and has to be change to AC voltage. It is the AC voltage wires that had bad connection inside the generator -

ellisjte, I hate to say this but that the same problem I experience this winter. The wiring harness was going bad to the inverter in the generator and soon took out the inverter a 4K repair. Yank the generator out of the coach, pull the panels and check the connection of harness to inverter before it's too late. It can soon go to no 120 at all. Mine had melted at the connection. -

Wow, and I thought the flying j near Dallas, TX was bad with the transient walking through begging for gas money.

Looks like I will be picking up a Atlas at NWA rally in Longview, WA June 22 - 25. If you never been to Longview, WA you should come as it is very beautiful there.
-
It was $124 for next day air to me and as much as the Atlas the cheapest rate. I guess FMCA is not completing with Amazon so I wait if I see one at their rally.

I don't know of any in Seattle and wouldn't wish that on anyone. That being said there are a few north and south and depends what your looking for. The last weekend of April I will be visiting Sliver Lake at a place call Silver Cove. Let you know how it goes.

I drove by area 51 on a long road in Nevada and it looked much better than the above picture.

They will give you trade in value on your dime and keep the rest.

My rear tire replacement is within that guidelines and I monitor pressure and temperature very close the same. Very little wear on other tires and the best option for cost effected replacement.

Our Holiday Travel Misadventure-- So Far

Carl the marathon driving was at the end of the tour when things started breaking. We want to get home as we couldn't dry camp with broken generator and fresh water pump. Can't microwave at rest stops and even flush the toilet if we can't find a rest stop. You know how many of those rest stops are closed? I forgot about the cold we had. Must be better now. We had a couple of oops, one with a tire and a sharp rock on a curb and another being guided over a water pipe. We did get some sightseeing done and put about 9500 miles on the coach on this 75 days holiday misadventure. -

Our Holiday Travel Misadventure-- So Far

We got the coach back today and the generator is like new again. Cummins NW explained what happen was a bad connection at the inverter wiring harness and burnt the inverter. Explain why it would work after it failed completely then fail again. Came to a point it couldn't take a load at all so it had to have a new inverter and harness. I had them put a new belt on it since they had it out and check the condition of anything else. Most of the bill was covered by ExtraRide and was a relief. I think of the few things I used the EasyRide on I came out ahead on the 60-month contract. Everything is fixed on the coach and is ready for spring trip in April. As for the contract with EasyRide, I don't know if they would want to renew my coach as five years later it's a much bigger risk. -
I cut the right rear tire on a rock curb that was very unforgiving and it cut the sidewall this winter. Very expensive replacement when you have T/A service come out even with roadside assist. At least I got a identical tire and don't have to replace any other. Temperature and pressure running the same so no problem expected.

It is a Quiet Diesel 8000 and has 697 hours on it. Most of the hours before I brought the coach. -

Cummins NW of Renton called today and said that the inverter and wiring harness to it inside is fried. Total cost is $3,800 and is a covered repair. I told them that since it is out to slap a belt on it and check other maintenance items. I don't know how much of the bill will be mine.
