  1. Ah, lovely "Giant size Mud Bugs!!!" In a roll, boiled, steamed, grilled, stuffed, Newburg, stew, bisque and raw! I'll be doing it all this Summer, several times over!
  2. I'm guessing they spend all Interstate money on their illegals and homeless. I-5, 10, 15, 40 & 80, is appalling!
  3. Good point...they do it here, once a week for 2 hours in morning, between 9 and 11 am!
  4. Sukki1942. Since you became a member November, 2018. You asked this question before, now I'll ask, why are you renting a coach? You had to have a qualifying RV to be a member of FMCA & this forum...What happened?
  5. Since I now spend most of my time in Burnet...Linda told me that Marble Falls DMV gives both the written and the driving test. That's about 60 miles from you! Lot easier to drive around here, than RR or Austin area!
  6. A two edge sword. When we opened up FMCA for younger RV'ers, we can't expect them to come and enjoy memory lane, in the 50's & early 60's! I wish we had Swing & big band music, along with CW...everyone from 9 to 90 can enjoy!
  7. Happy Trails and Tales! Thanks for the feed back!
  8. Just looked it up...throw them in the trash! that's per the US Government...I guess, if it goes BOOM in the heat, no one cares! That's Lithium Ion battery! Lithium Batteries is a different story!
  9. Too many Cupcakes! Too many Nuts! I'm also on my coffee!

    Bedroom Slide

HR made something flimsy? If it was a 2016, I could understand, but yours is pre big bang!
  11. Just like chicken, with a cleaner eating habit. Little overkill on clothing!
  12. DD69, I know nothing about electric cars or how they dispose of the batteries!
  13. Hvacahand. Welcome again, to the Forum! Texas class C is up to 26,000 pounds. Over that is a non commercial B or A, License! DMV has a handbook on the subject. Class A is only needed if your going to tow a trailer over 10,000 pounds ( I think that was amended to 16,000). Since yours is a 1997 Monaco Diplomat and it's DP, I don't know your tow weight limit...so I will guess it's less than 10,000 pounds. Most of us get a Class B non Commercial. You take the written test, then the driving test is in your coach! Go find a Big parking lot, like a school on a Sunday and practice. Bring some bright color markers with you, like cones, and practice parallel parking, stopping at the white line, running between several cones with out hitting any! I went under a overpass, 10 minutes later, I was asked "what was the height clearance of the overpass? You need to know how high your coach is, bleed down the air brakes, etc. Go camping several times, drive the coach and get a feel for where your at, side to side, front to back and height...before you take the test. Not all DMV offices know about the non commercial class B, A ! I stopped in at DPS and they gave me a list of places that I could go to.
  14. I'm glad we agreed on one thing...69 is cold. the heater is on, 67 outside and light rain...should be 54 in morning, that's freezing. It did hit 80 in Austin!
  15. Nice! What's the life of batteries & where or how do you dispose of them?
  16. May I have a drum roll & the sound of trumpets! Glad someone got it...The big difference between a Engineer & a fabricator. As Mike said, he's a chemical engineer, I would love to hear that conversation, between him & a Tech. Mike's making too big a deal out of this! IMHO.
  17. Bill, don't know about that. His roof is a "C" shoot. I don't even want to guess how the fiberglass is bonded to the plywood, or is it plywood or fiberboard ! Way to many variables for my feeble mind.
  18. Jim, I'm not even a expert on mine! Every time I have a problem with mine, I look it up in my owners manual. Most of the time, either the wire diagram or plumbing, does not correspond to my year or coach! I have had it with American Coach!
  19. Spooks535. Welcome to America, FMCA and the Forum! You might want to check the water level of all batteries and age. That also goes for your tires, find the DOT number. Good luck at the Fair & enjoy some Wine! Carl

    Class A Tire Size

Bill, could be that he only has a 50 degree turn radius to begin with. My 1973 coach had a 50 and I had to back up a lot to make turns, especially in campgrounds! Wow, what a difference, when we got a 55 degree!
  21. Jim, is it HWH for slides and Jacks? I had that on my 2007 WB Tour 40, never a bind and if I remember right,, I also ran slides out first and then leveled.
  22. Bill, it's turned into a 3 ring circus. Hot Solvent is used for re- crystallization, EternaClean is a company name like EternaBond. EC is flammable, so it's only ground shipped. It's suppose to make the old caulk, easier to remove, clean the surface, before applying new caulk. Re doing the OP's roof, is way above my pay scale! I would call RVArmor, have one of their local reps come to my house, storage area or garage and give me a bid for re-doing and applying their roofing material, from end cap seal to front cap, my coach was 40 feet at $140 a foot...I will not have to mess with my roof again for the life of the coach and the warranty is transferable to any new owner! IMHO, money well spent.
  23. Been there & done that & still do! I think I'm alive.. Herman. Arrested, no! Fined? Yes...in Santa Monica! Ugh.
