  1. Carl, I have the same model on the tower at home, never had to do that to it. If you are not comfortable working around high voltage I would send it back to them.
  2. Hmm, I just bought a product at Hershey similar. Picked up the application pole and towels and the product, works the same but with the extendable pole no ladder needed. here's the link http://www.simplereflectioncleaner.com/
  3. I have got to remember that! 2 kids under 20, one full time in college, the other 16, just got her learners permit let the gray hair begin . Just east of Lancaster PA, part time RV traveling making memories.
  4. sideskr, I applaud you for identifying a potential weak spot and asking. Most never do and get stuck with a poor engineered design that will leave a hole in your wallet and without the unit as it sits at a dealer while they fiddle around with it. To put it into perspective, our coach is an 02', I have every receipt (except fuel) down to wiper blades purchased from the previous owner, it had the front slide adjusted once by the selling dealer prior to them taking delivery in 01'. You can view that from different angles, they either got it right in the engineering and execution or I'm sitting on a bomb .
  5. This is usually the point of failure.
  6. Personally I would walk away from any unit with cable slides. They are a beast to repair and adjust and they require it often, the other issue I have read is the particle board they are fastened to cannot handle the cross torque on the pulley's, and they will tear off the walls. I saw a later model where they fastened tin to the wood and ran the screws into that, it didn't last either.
  7. I can understand why, both of ours have already asked if they can still tag along after they are 18 . YEA!!
  8. ok, I'm 45 wife is 47, kids are 16 and 17.
  9. Reason I asked; I have one from NAPA, constant duty for the house power that is controlled by the salesman switch, that solenoid gets very hot. I was considering replacing it with this one. The one that failed before actually scorched the fiberglass its mounted to, so they do get hot which is a huge concern of mine, I can understand why the OP is raising the issue. http://www.partdeal.com/cole-hersee-12v-200a-continuous-duty-solenoid-24213.html?zmam=74973193&zmas=1&zmac=4&zmap=77197098&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxfOSs9_o1gIVRh-GCh0qMQf-EAQYBSABEgKsp_D_BwE
  10. Welcome!! the last photo looks like it was taken near our house in Lancaster PA. How old are the kids traveling with you?
  11. Glad I don't have that problem, my drivers seat all the way back is almost 1' from the slide, unless the seat is reclined into a laying position. Funny, I still have the warning decal above the switch to put the seat all the way forward DW is notorious for leaving the leg rest open and the stairwell cover closed so I cant get down the staircase to the door
  12. DW loves that power leg rest, if it went away it would'nt go over well
  13. This brings up an interesting question; are these normally open or closed? I realize there is "no standard" but anyone that has experience, should it be energized with the house power on?
  14. The biggest issue I have with our coach and seats, you drive so long between fill ups, my lower back starts to hurt. With the gasser 180 miles and you had to stop for fuel, this gave me a chance to stretch. But in a C you only have enough room to sneeze, no room to move your legs due to the dog house, so after a few hours the pain was real, now its just some discomfort.
  15. Do any of these recommendations have adjustable lumbar? How about the passenger seat, does it have the power leg rest?
  16. Bill, I'll park the coach and drive in with the Jeep, no problem. Maybe drop in on Roswell and off to some other place. Any ghost towns or old Wild West towns around within a few hours?
  17. DW isn't laughing, I am . She's an alien geek. She just wants a picture. So from what I'm reading I'll keep the Jeep running while one of the kids jump out and take her photo and off to something else
  18. Bill, went on this route in July 08' stopped at the Big Texan, parked the coach down the street at a Amarillo Ranch RV park. We took their limo back and forth to the Big Texan (at the time we didn't have a Toad). Most likely do the Big Texan again, we had fun with that! Took the kids shopping Cavender's Boot City down the road also, bought them boots and hats , my youngest wore those boots to school until they were worn out. She told me last night that she wants to go back to the boot store. We also stopped at the Cadillac Ranch on the way home. Oasis looks like a nice place to park for a day, maybe two and explore the area.
  19. Might have to try the Canola oil trick. Ours is an electric blade type toilet, it just started to squeak while opening and closing.
  20. Bill, I did. Mine are Bargman lights, all I had to do was remove the lens and bulb, plug the new lens in (LEDS built into the lens) and snap in back on. get the model of the light and do a web search
  21. Glad I found this. We are planning a trip in June to Roswell NM sight seeing along I-40 from TN (headed down I-81 to I-40 from PA) and possibly back on the same route looking for recommendations. I also mentioned to my DW about maybe heading into CO from NM. nothing in concrete yet but any experiences would be appreciated. Also considering an alternative route for the return trip and sightsee along that route back to PA.

Herman, I was wondering how it failed. I did that all the time, I would drive it down the street stop with the wheel off center but you know it's tracking straight, with a helper adjust the drag link until the wheel is straight, (as you twist the steering wheel should respond) the helper can yell out the window when it's centered.

Did anyone try and swap your steer tires left to right for the pull? is the drag link adjustable by itself? Or does the steering wheel center have to be adjusted via the tie rods?
  24. Bill, Carl, we are headed to New Orleans, AL coast and MS coast June/July we want to meet up with Kay and Sue also coming through AL. Maybe we should try and plan a small gathering? Keon, you listening?
