  1. I love Cabelas! I have stopped at Bass Pro before and while it wasn't bad there was no staff around to help you locate something. I buy my summer shorts from Cabelas, they are comfortable and priced decent. CW takes over Gander Mtn it over you can bet its going down hill, they have proven that with their CW stores.
  2. Sounds like you are headed down the right path.
  3. I'm betting its this one. That unit looks familiar, my grandfather rigged solar panels on the roof of his house to power one that looks identical to the one in the OP's photo. The one in my photo is a 5000 MSW. This apple didn't fall far from the trees HUH?
  4. BINGO! Spoke to two members last weekend, that was the exact response from both. One told me I was an idiot if I continued to stay a member if towable's were allowed to join. The subject angered him, especially when all of the coaches around us had no desire to join as there are little to no benefits for younger families. His number started with a 160, my guess he has been a member for quite some time.
  5. YUP JUNK, I posted on my dissatisfaction it a few years back on another post. Ours will send you down roads not suited for a 4x4 let alone an RV, then take you miles off course to do so when the simple solution was to stay straight on the Interstate you are on. The final straw is when it couldn't locate Myrtle Beach SC. I use it for a rolling map now and have not replaced it. I have update it numerous times, sent it back to them, nothing fixed it and by the time they were done playing with it I couldn't return it or get a refund. I heard they are no longer making them, not sure if its true but from what I heard there is also class action law suite brewing.
  6. Wingman, keep one thought in mind...all of those particles went into your engine . That could show its ugly face later in life and cause low compression. I'd consider having the Air charge cooler replaced at a minimum, if it were mine it wouldn't be an option. That also looks like you are sucking dirt, what air filter do you have and has the intake system been inspected for unfiltered air entering?
  7. Just a tutorial, I had to tear down a VGT turbocharger today that was stuck. Here is the inside of a Garrett. IMG_3479.MOV
  8. Tomas24, Penn is one of them that is local to me. Curious...what age bracket are you in?
  9. Keon, I went through the same with the local chapters up here. I wasn't sure if the contact information was outdated or they just don't know how to use technology. I've camped with you and your family, I can say they are missing out! First State Travelers was the only one with open arms (not in my area but we love lower slower Delaware and Maryland). And the chapter president has a gas C.
  10. rlbarkleyii, I agree with you! Not only are we located within two local chapters, I contacted both several times and I NEVER got a single response, even after calling FMCA and posting it on the forums. I reached out to a chapter that almost touches our area but it happens to be in the area we frequently travel to and they responded. I was loosing hope up until that time.
  11. 200,000 miles on truck tires?? We run exclusively Michelin at work, NEVER get over 150,000 miles on any road tractor on any wheel position caps or virgin and we perform alignments twice a year. I guess it's the difference between you pay for them or the company pays for them
  12. Agreed! Bill A, you may be onto something, I saw that also.
  13. If they are cracked and peeling 303 is too late. Obedb, yes if you can locate them on their. Mine were cheap, I did the entire coach for $200 in decals. It also gives you a chance to add or color change them if you don't like something you have now.
  14. Any idea how east of you looks to the Mississippi River?
  15. twoteds, last coach had them cracking, I removed them, bought replacements on EBay and reinstalled them.
  16. Nope! And at the rate I'm going the left front side will need a reweigh later anyway
  17. You should know by now my PC went away, well never really had it !
  18. Carl, something I learned a few years ago, every leader has to come up with a good idea to put their name under, so each one widens one lane and they each have an accomplishment task under their name on the wall. I see this often in business, most times its hilarious and obvious
  19. We have a lot of interior drawers for their stuff. When I pulled the Washer and dryer I put more drawers in that spot also.
  20. Replaced all 6 on our coach this year. Went with Michelins tier 2 level tire (BF Goodrich). We had Michelins on the steer before and Firestone on the drive, I can say the coach doesn't ride any different now, but it's more stable in a lane. The tail would wonder or wag if you rocked the steering wheel before. At almost $300 savings each it wasn't hard to make a decision. Time will tell how they hold up but our Michelin factory rep and a Michelin engineer highly recommended them.
  21. My Coachnet expires next month, I'm not renewing. Never used it and as Bill mentioned above with technology today I feel its a waste of money, you can search for you own help, it might take a little longer, but its free. If it gave more than a service to look up and call a vendor to us I'd consider renewing, but the cost would have to be worth it.
  22. Obedb, I remember crossing the Mississippi River on I-40 being the worst road I had ever been on in my life. That was December 2013 headed to CA, it was so bad it broke the cab loose from the body on My C. That trip is why we bought the DP the following May. You have to wonder how a road can be that bad for that long? Just west of that it was one lane repaving what looked like a road that didn't need much attention, we were on the old surface and I got to laughing how nice that was compared to road we were just on and why the attention here and not behind us where it really needed it.
