  1. Calvin, when you do go to purchase the oil make sure to read the label on the container, don't take the word of the parts guy that its compatible. There is a mentality out in the industry due to lack of training and experience that "one size fits all", don't fall for it!
  2. What's wrong with the current one? Yea, they are called "Door Check" or "Door Brake", depending on the manufacture.
  3. Tim, on ours under the rear floor in the closet (above the transmission) is three of these solenoid's (similar photo below), these power different parts of the coach. I also have more in the right rear compartment power distribution center. Check those, You should have power on one big lug and a ground on one small lug, when the other small lug gets power it closes inside and energizes the other large lug. If you have power across both large lugs its on and working.
  4. I have the same one, older version. I wanted this one, 2 stroke... DW flipped out
  5. Strats, and you are a Mustang guy...I knew I liked you!! I had several, the last was an 86 Saleen Convertible 351W supercharged, Like a big dummy I sold it. Nice work on the coach and a great idea to update when the VP44 dies. At that time upgrade it also for a little more kick under your foot!! I know I would!!

I checked the web, found a video. Odd looking little engine. But neat non the less.

In my opinion, there are enough out there to satisfy both. You just have to look and be patient. The last thing you want is regret after the purchase be it mechanical or comfort. One will hit your pocket and the other will hit you in the side of the head reminding you every chance she gets . Brett, you really had to pour oil in the fuel tank?? Now I'm curious what that engine looked like and how it worked .
  12. Strats, no worries. If you lived closer I'd come over and change that pump.

Carl, I drive the same way pulling a hill at 1900-2000 RPM's (manually downshift of course) I also have the 1250 ftlbs but with 400HP. I have found the problem doing that, I'm walking past trucks, and the cars behind me want to do 80 and I have no intention going that fast, maybe 55-65. While I could sink my foot into it more....its not worth tossing all that fuel out of the tail pipe. So I find myself following the trucks unless I can plan ahead and have a clear shot in the right lane. In which case I still downshift just less on the throttle, I don't like to "lug" a diesel up a hill.

Its defiantly an ISC 360 with a Diesel Particulate Filter and EGR (of course). Engine SN# 46776183. I have to agree with Brett, then you toss the emissions stuff on top of the smaller engine that's asking a lot from an ISC.
  16. Manholt Carl, whom ever installed them should have measured your wheel width prior to the installation, some manufactures run a wider wheel than others, mine are not. CarlAda, the 295/80R22.5 is a miserable tire to locate and only a few manufactures even make that size, with that being said most do not stock it. Since its primary function is RV/Coach and availability is tough....up goes the pricing. The 12R was the closest tire to the 295/80 my Michelin Rep could match up that would fit my wheel, the 315/80 would have been a better fit on height and width however I wasn't sold also due to the fact the 318/80 is 13.9 lbs heavier than the 12R and 12.9 lbs heavier than the 295/80. If you have even been involved with a fuel economy study as I have Rotational Mass plays a huge part on fuel economy, the heavier the wheel and tire the harder the coach will labor to push it which equals less MPG. Especially on a heavy coach with a smaller engine. I also stumbled across aluminum wheels for my inner rear duals, to shed some more weight off of the rotational mass calculation. Size Difference; the 12R is .5" narrower and 1.1" taller than the 295/80R22.5 Cost difference; $127.09 cheaper per tire for the 12R vs the 295/80 Weight difference; 13.9 lbs lighter than the 315/80 and 1lb lighter than the 295/80 (1lb no big deal but 13.9 is a big deal) Keep in mind my coach has the wrong drive tires on it now, so no matter what the 12R is wider and taller than my current drive tire, much better fit than the tires I have now on the drives which is 1.5" narrower than the 12R and 2.2" shorter . If you look at my avatar you can clearly see my coach sits high in the front at this time.
  17. Bingo!!! replace it! Since you have an electronic engine, not mechanical you have some options. This is the pump I have on my ISL, call them and see what model you will need for your HP. It comes with hose and fittings to relocate it out of that tight spot. Since you have an ISB you will not need any of the other modifications like I had to do. Cross your fingers and hope the VP44 Injection pump is not damaged from running it with low fuel pressure. http://store.fassride.com/shop/diesel-fuel-pumps/adjustable-diesel-fuel-pumps.php

Funny thing.... Mongo smarter than EPA
  19. That sounds like my kind of place! Carl, Bill.....
  20. YUP! With the technology in todays engines, the engine will only take so much in, no point in giving it more, especially dirt. When I was at the dealer K&N = Cash work, no warranty when your engine was dusted and there was a dirt trail down the intake tube.
  21. The 12R is the closest that will fit on a wheel designed for the 295. I would have preferred the 315 but my wheels are too narrow as the 315 is a wider tire.

Roland, Google Maxxforce engine problems. I am going to side with Herman, after 08 Monaco would drop off of my list also.
  24. Great idea using the friends deck to help! The job is very simple, even with central ducting.
