Yea, I figured its time to replace them. Better at home than on the side of the road.

Brett, what sparked my interest; my friend's coach has the 295/75R22.5 on it, he and I had a conversation about the tires that were on it when he bought it used. It has Roadmaster tires (made by Cooper) he never heard of them and was concerned about the quality. When I looked them up they were not listed as a RV/Coach/Bus tire. Not that that matters but I raised a red flag, so I began to dig and no one lists that tire size for a RV/Coach/Bus. After typing this yesterday it dawned on me, Search the web for his brochure, so I did and it was originally equipped with the 275/80R22.5, since they are almost the exact size tire and the weight ratings are the same he should be good to run them off.

I'm worried it will start to leak

When I cant screw the connection to the pipe at the CG I place it in and hang these on it to keep it down (usually its snug in the hole). I don't own a donut and never have, also never had a problem. The photo above....CG has nice connections that are threaded and work well.

Yea, but its painted and the rust is built up behind that and I'm scared to try and scrape it off.

Herman, after I wrote it it dawned on me how big it was. So with that being said locations will be very limited. Thank you for listening to a rally inexperienced person rattle on. That trip does sound like a good one. So there is electric, potable water truck and honey wagon? Extra charge for that service is?

Hmm, the GY 295/75R22.5 tire is not listed on the RV tire selector. It is listed for HD truck/Tractor with GY and Firestone. Does anyone run this size on an RV? Is it the original equipment size or something someone put on? This is typically a Semi trailer tire size or Low profile road tractor size.

Herman, the Gulf swimming trip...I can see why there was some resistance . There are plenty of places in the US that would be close to stuff like amusement parks etc. I hadn't thought of that before, that's a great idea. My biggest draw back for the reunions is the distance and where they are typically located stacked up against my limited time off of work. If they were closer I could run, but spending a day or more on the road to and from really cuts back from us going, plus if we don't have full hookups or at least water and electric with a honey wagon service, I will hear that all week and it wont be pleasant. Springfield is probably our best bet, 6 hours is defiantly an option, but 16 to Perry or 12 to Indy would be tough. Do they ever change locations or are they always in the same locations?

Kay, I was considering the same, my only concern would be the rib on the end to help hold the hose onto the pipe. I have local exhaust shops in the area that could probably handle it other than the rib.

While tackling the exhaust manifold replacement this weekend I noticed my cooling system upper and lower hoses are mostly pre bent metal. Both the upper and lower look like they will need to be replaced soon. I'm surprised how bad they have become in the last two years, scaly rust build up. Any suggestions on what to use (beyond calling REV for a direct replacement, assuming its available) They look like automotive exhaust pipe.

Carl, that very thought has crossed my mind on many occasions. One thing my DW pointed out, if you look at most of the chapters (some of the ones local to us anyway) they have a tendency to sway in one direction. She as brought up how every event is at a different location with the same plans, kind of like a dart board with one dart in the same spot all the time, not a broad variety that might suite some on one outing and other on the next one, or a variety to appease 90% of the attendees. My DW is a planner, she comes up with all kinds of creative idea's for trips, places to go etc. She should be a activities coordinator with the stuff she comes up with. We also noticed most do not have a website to get information from, or a way to contact them. I can tell you from experience that was frustrating. As you know I have sent out many emails, tried calling for the last year and was unsuccessful until recently, I was just about to give up. If you are not out in front of people you are behind people and that is not where you want to be, especially with something looking for new members.

Watch out for this guy; The sewer connection was a screw in type, why the donut...I have no idea. This was between ObedB and us, of course I got the business side . He never dumped all weekend and believe me I was watching like a hawk, if I would have seen him I would have showed it to him. I always check my surroundings, you never know what you will see.

We have been to one CG in Virginia off of RT13 just before the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Kids were running around at night pulling the valves on trailers that had their hoses off with the cap on so when the poor owner would uncap it to connect the hose he got a face full. All of our valves on this coach and the last are behind closed and locked doors so no joke on my part, the CG just asked that they hose it down. No EPA called or anything like that. We did see the local Police patrolling the CG after.

Herman, that was truly an inspirational speech! I'm like a sponge and I love the older folks sharing their stories and adventures, I can sit and listen for hours. Half or more of it goes on our list of things to explore. Herman, I am looking into the "First State Travelers" Chapter, their president has sent me a list of outings for the end of 2016 and 2017. We are planning on attending and see where it goes, really hoping to connect with some that are local and in a similar situation as us. Since we are part time with 14 and 16 yr old children it is tough to connect, especially with Motorhome people, if I had to guess I would think less than 2% of motorhome people are in the position we are in.

I didn't comment, I really wasn't sure what he was talking about, now Carl clarified I feel much better, the other visual wasn't good

You have to cut it off.

Quick Overnnight Stops: I-40 OKC To Nashville

"the further east I get the more problems I have, especially, NE!" in the NE you have to be careful, the following are used incorrectly; Big Rig friendly Campground We have had places I couldn't get to, low bridges, weight issues with bridges, low trees, tiny sites etc when big rig friendly was posted on their website. RV park reviews saved us from a few, we booked elsewhere and drove in with the toad, sure enough wouldn't have been able to stay. -
Carl, you sound like the rep that came out and did the demonstration . A mixture in the front hubs of their product and synthetic gear oil would be a good combination. We have a saying at work; Crawl Walk Run, I'm sure it will be in the fleet in several applications once we get to the "Run" stage. Their penetrating oil was all the way down the bolt threads when I pulled them. Considering the manifold was tight against the head when it was applied was impressive!!

Carl, that grease should be great in a wheel bearing. It actually goes to the heat source. If you ever watched oil in a pan, it tends to gravitate away from the heat source, all of there lubes do the opposite. They boast about positive energy. Where others are a negative. We were all skeptical until they tested our grease and theirs on the same test right in front of us. The results were surprising. My concern is how it performs over time.
-
Thanks bill! At work we run oil bath hubs. They run cooler than grease packed. On gates we run Mobile One synthetic now. Hopefully this stuff works. But it comes with a cost $$$$

Wheel hubs? As in lug nuts?
