  1. Carl, you will have to remove the light in the coach and see if it will accept the Jeep light, if so you are in a good position, they make them in LED now for a jeep and they are great to see. My old lights I couldn't drive in the dark, Then I had the same problem as you. I replaced my factory driving lights with a kit from Hella, they give me just enough to see, not good enough but works.
  2. Dave, had that light on in April on our HR (Monaco product), turned out to be Cam sensors. I didn't have a lack of power, just a slight shudder when it would up shift. You will need to pull the codes from the ECM as Rich mentioned to determine where to go next.
  3. RL, usually it is an internal fault in the motor, park is built into the motor, not usually in the governor or module that controls it if yours is equipped that way. I would follow Carl's advice first, Call Winnebago, see if the park function is internal to the motor, then start to seek out a new motor. You do have the option of flipping the switch as close to their proper park position so they are not in your view if you want to save a few $$.
  4. The mirror in the photo is what we call an NYC mirror up here. They are required on commercial vehicles in NYC so when the light turns green you don't drive over the person in the crosswalk. We run a dash cam all the time when the coach is in motion, DW will pull screen shots off of it for her scrapbooking if there was a beautiful view we saw while on the road. I use it for proof...just in case. I miss not having a mirror up front to look back inside of the coach while in motion. I am confused why a mirror is a want on the front of a coach, maybe a C with fender mounted mirrors to help with lane changing, but not an A the mirrors are already up as far as they can go.
  5. They think of ways to deny warranty coverage
  6. Larry, there is a bunch of us on here that have either paid to have it done or tackled it on our own. If you have any questions fire away.
  7. Mtpizza, has it always been this way? Mine is also relatively loud (different model) my friends comment often, sounds like a jet afterburner..... below is a link to an Aquahot forum, the moderator owns a business servicing them. He has helped me a few times with odd problems. http://forum.rvhydronicheaterrepair.com/forumdisplay.php?5-Aqua-Hot-Questions
  8. Bikeryder, our coach it's always one of two things, either I left the ignition on for the dock lighting or something fell against a bay door, if I open the bay doors, push the junk back and close them they work again. A simple test open each bay and bypass one switch at a time.
  9. I was the guy that bought the coach that couldn't pull the toad. My coach interior sticker allotted me 3500 lbs, the hitch had a sticker up under it "3000 lbs MAX TOWING WEIGHT, 100 lbs tongue weight". I called Coachmen at the time, was told do to the frame extensions and cross members 3000 was the maximum. At the time the Jeep we had was 3400lbs, not a good day. I was glad I saw the sticker behind the hula skirt hanging off of the bumper while installing roller wheels on the hitch.
  10. Make and Cindy, my wife uses this type; on cabinet doors in the galley. We have never had a problem but our pantry faces forward, so if I were to panic stop there is a good possibility it will open and make a real mess. We do have a lip that is around 2" high but you never know. On the loop type of handle it just goes through the bottom. http://www.toysrus.com/buy/cabinet-locks-straps/babies-r-us-slide-locks-2-pack-5f62a4b-56144576
  11. I copied this from the PA CDL thread, there is very good point brought up in here; I highlighted it in bold and under lined it. I am a retired Police / DOT Enforcement Officer from 1986-2011. Weighmaster, Haz-Mat and Cargo tank inspector. Class A CDL holder and driver / trainer. If you run any kind of business from your RV (traveling to car shows to sell Model A parts), you are in fact a real CMV and will need DOT authority, medical card, full CDL, logbooks and apportioned plates etc. And remember, a CMV is any vehicle used in commerce over 10,000 lbs registered weight that crosses a state line and if within the state ( PA), anything over 17,000 lbs. So a 15,000 lb Class B MH which is used in any kind of commercial enterprise that goes out of state is a CMV and will need everything except a CDL and apportioned tags. Yes, a medical card is needed for all CMV's even if a CDL is not a requirement. A 9,000 lb truck pulling a 4,000 lb trailer in any kind of commerce across a state line is a CMV. 9000+4000=13,000. Just for clarification; CMV is Commercial Motor Vehicle.
  12. I stumbled upon this last week truck shopping for work, nice coach.... http://rothrock.com/UsedCars/1999-HOLIDAY_RAMBLER-RAMBLER-Allentown-vEwsEZY0KUCuSqdqUTCTwA?Make=HOLIDAY
  13. Keon, what model is the Holiday Rambler? The Bounder from what I have read is a V8, 460 (could just be the one I found on my search) If it were me I would search for a V10 powered coach. Is the HR a V10?
  14. Especially when it wouldn't purge (never serviced) I thought it didn't have one. I ended up following the line into a wooden box, needless to say the dryer was replaced and the box went into the trash, I put it right back where Roadmaster intended it too be.
  15. Old beaver, I had my line fabricated by a Hydraulic hose store. Just remove your old one and take it with you. It has a Teflon inner core, most have the hose available but they will have to crimp the ends on to suite your application. Some have a copper line that is solid other have the flexible SS. I had a hard time locating my dryer also when we bought our coach, someone made a wooden box around it and painted it black.
  16. Most take this type, you would have to disassemble your handle and see if it's equipped with this style lamp or not. https://www.amazon.com/ITC-86430-LED-ASSEM-DB-Replacement-IllumaGrip/dp/B00K779EH6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1476099503&sr=8-1&keywords=rv+handle+light
  17. Sorry to hear that. A similar sitiuation happened to a friend with a large RV dealer in Louisiana, he went down from PA with his coach to trade his in the day before Thanksgiving, arrived two days later to find the coach was a mess. You are shopping for a gas coach correct?
  18. Five, the DD engines are nothing like the series 60. They are like two different manufacturers now, with the same corporate name. The DD engines are more like Mercedes and the series 60 are more old school Detroit Diesel with a modern swing. You are correct, they are primarily used in moving freight, both of them. Both are very good engines. From what I see the series 60 is not as good on fuel. We see on average 5 mpg on the series 60 and 7 mpg on the DD13 with no real difference in power. As with all engines they have their pros and cons, none are prefect.
  19. Agreed with towing it to a CAT dealer. There are so many items on that engine that will leak oil around where the head meets the block a misdiagnosis is easy to do. Especially in a DP where it's hard to see already.
  20. Five, the DD is a Daimler engine. The Series 60 was when Penske owned them, the company was sold when the GHG07 was on the table. Completely different animal. At 500hp it must be a 15.0L? Ours are DD13's at 450, and I believe that is almost maxed out for the DD13. I almost bought the fleet this year with the DD15 due to its advertised with better fuel economy with the same HP as the DD13. Stocking more parts for 18 shops would have made our parts manager upset and would have been a hard sell to the Board so I didn't do it.
  21. Obedb, the tractors at work all have collision avoidance systems, I will not jump in front of a truck, for that reason and it's just nuts! Many times I have had some one jump I front of me while driving them, and step on the brake, before I can blink it slams the tractor and trailer brakes on with no warning. Besides to pull over and check my shorts the last time my shoulder felt it for days. I wouldn't want to do that to a trucker trying to make a living, besides if we hit its not going to be a good day for either of us. Some extra courtesy goes along way with professional drivers. I use mirrors and the camera, (camera if I need over quick when I'm in the wrong lane) usually the gap is so large there is no question I have plenty of space.
  22. If I get my hands on some, I will save you a can or two. Hopefully we meet up sooner than later
