Sounds like a modification that someone changed over to Super Singles. I just looked it up on their website, while its a terrible website with little detail, all of the King Air photos show traditional dual's on the drive axle. That looks like a great next coach for you, 200 gallon fuel tank

Do you have these on yours now? https://www.airxcel.com/maxxair/products/covers

They are concerned with an accident breaching the lines and venting LPG into the tunnel. They also do not allow a certain amount of LPG or CNG tanks in the tunnel. It appears to be an issue from many angles they are concerned with. I got a lecture one trip through that had more detail than the regulations below. Diesel fuel tankers are not an issue through the tunnels. the Chesapeake Bay Bridge you can run through with Propane, but must be shut off at the valve on the supply tank. Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) govern the transport of hazardous materials across our toll facilities. Under these regulations, vehicles carrying bottled propane gas in excess of 10 pounds per container (maximum of 10 containers), bulk gasoline, explosives, significant amounts of radioactive materials, and other hazardous materials are prohibited from using the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) or the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (I-895). The Francis Scott Key Bridge (I-695, the Baltimore Beltway) is a convenient alternative route for crossing Baltimore's Harbor.

Rich, correct, you need to go over the harbor on the bridge, not under it in the tunnel. I get funny looks going through it with ours. Funny story, we bought our first coach in February 2008, at the time of pick up, the RV dealer did a walk around, showed me how to do everything, took us 4+ hours, water was connected, we winterized if afterwards etc.... He explained that the furnace was 110 volts and didn't work without the generator or shore power connected. Fast forward spring 2009 we dry camped on Assateague island. Night time temperatures dropped into the 40's and we had no electric, National Park rule, no generators allowed after certain hours. So the first night we snuggled down with heavy blankets etc. The in the morning I started the generator and turned on the furnace to knock the chill off, (you could see your breath inside). Later than night sitting around the fire with a bunch of friends, our furnace comes on all by itself, I jump up everyone asks me whats wrong, I had a puzzled look on my face I explain that our furnace is 110 volts and I have no idea why or how it just turned on, well needless to say it was a 12v unit, we froze the night before and a few nights the previous year for no reason. Funny now....well I thought it was funny then and so did everyone around the fire except my DW

Was it the proper coolant for a Diesel with SCA's in it or was it converted to OAT coolant?
-
Richard, replace the radiator cap also, most don't realize how critical it is, that cap can cause serious engine problems down the road. I'm assuming you have checked the SCA's in the coolant recently and Diesel spec coolant was put into the generator when the pump was replaced?

looking for freightliner/cummins dealer in northeast
jleamont replied to marysteeves's topic in Type A motorhomes
Marysteeves, if you are headed through PA we have a good Freightliner dealer in Lancaster PA. Send me a PM if you are going to go there, ill call the service manager. We had lunch last week and speak several times a week with the fleet at work. Address: 1675 Rohrerstown Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601 Hours: Open ⋅ Closes 11:30PM Phone: (717) 581-3480 Sounds like a wiring harness/poor connection issue, J1939 codes are very common on Freightliner products as are wiring harness issues. -

Joe, it begs the question, how on earth could the DEF get mixed into the Diesel? They are not transported on the same tanker truck, DEF carriers carry DEF, not fuel. Does he know if any others had an issue that day? -
Apparently that video link went away on You tube and this one took its place. That is for the IT gods to figure out. I reattached another Garmin video

We have owned 8 Jeep Wranglers since 1995, only one had the death wobble and it was caused by the lift and not having the caster changed/corrected afterwards. We tow a 2014 JKU now, no wobble and it has a 2" lift on the front and a 1" lift on the rear. The last Jeep toad was an 2003 TJ with a 3" lift and 35" tires, no wobble! If the alignment shop doesn't understand how caster works they will most likely set the toe and let it go, you think you had it aligned, when in reality you just tossed $$ in the trash. I strongly recommend finding an alignment place that specializes in 4x4 work. I can tell from past work experience, the shops I worked at had 17+ techs and there were two of us that understood alignments and neither of us ever performed them unless it was our own vehicle or a side job after hours. Now the new 2018-2019 JL Wrangler has electric steering, those have issues from the factory with Death Wobble. Never looked under one nor have I drove one and I have no interest in purchasing one either.

Jim, 50 degrees today. Odd but I’ll take it!

Ha, and I’m checking for cheap plane tickets 🤣

Brian, look up underneath of the steps, they are usually switched open/close by a magnet. Similar to alarm contacts on a window. My top magnet came detached once and was swinging by the wires, all sorts of strange stuff was happening with my steps. Definitely start with lubing the pivot points.

F433921, you might want to read this post that Manholt mentioned above.

Regarding diesel fuel issues, you might want to read this article. I got burned on June 2016 from these in my fuel; https://www.aa.co.nz/cars/motoring-blog/what-is-the-diesel-bug-and-how-can-i-prevent-it/

What year and make coach is this? I would start by loosening the filters and inspecting the o-ring on the threads and the outer seal on the filters, while at it make sure you didn't cross thread one of the filters causing the seal not to seat properly, if good move onto the lift pump. Check the lift pump for any signs of wetness, depending on the year of your coach and age of the lift pump it might be experiencing a housing gasket failure causing it to draw air in. All of these should only take a few minutes and cost nothing.

Sewer Hose Storage - Valterra EZ Hose Carrier
jleamont replied to mwking's topic in Type C Motorhomes
I was thinking about this.. if you purchase the Valterra storage and mount it behind the rear axle, parallel and maybe drill some holes in it for air circulation you should be good. Mounting under the bumper would be the easiest but it’s likely you’d hit it. Closer to the axle the less likely you are to hit it pulling out. Our old C use to bottom out onto the hitch, I had to put wheels under the hitch for protection. -
Sewer Hose Storage - Valterra EZ Hose Carrier
jleamont replied to mwking's topic in Type C Motorhomes
My old Coachman Santara had a holder built in under the coach. It allowed the hose to remain attached and it would swing out. You would unscrew the cap on the end of the PVC which was held in place by a chain then you would just grab the PVC tube and point it to the sewer connection, pull the hose out and connnect. It was nothing more than a PVC tube on a floor mounted swivel with a threaded end with a cap, small piece of chain mounted to the floor for support while traveling. I do not have any photos but you could build one with PVC pipes from a home center -
Trailers we run auto inflation systems on newer. older, nothing.

1300 TRACTORS 3000 TRAILERS 500 FORKLIFTS We do not use valve stem extenders at work. You have to keep them simple here, the more to break from abuse the more road calls
-
yes, it stops there, said another way...the stem stress fractures and you stop on the side of the road. That I believe....wait, I experienced it with the last coach, turned into roadside triage. , as Herman says, "I got a shirt to prove it", well maybe not a shirt, but I have a DW to remind me of it, every time we pass that spot! happened on Thanksgiving day 5 years ago on I-95 in Baltimore
