  1. Thanks Joe, do they come in different lengths or just one standard length
  2. Joe do the extensions you have screw onto the valve stem?
  3. Hi Carl, I have 2 LifeLine 6 v AGM batteries coming tomorrow. They are a little more expensive but in the end I hope to get what I paid for. You and others on the forum convinced me that this is best for my needs. Roland
  4. I do have Mobley which helps some with data. I guess I am just trying to see if there is something better than dish. Where we go in Arizona ota local is available, just need dish/streaming for things like sports, movies and a few channels.
  5. I currently have a carry out dish and use dish network service. I am wondering if ota and some form of streaming would be better. With dish you have to buy larger package to get any usable channels and then we don't use several of the channels. I know streaming isn't perfect but would like input from current users and how they use it.
  6. When driving in winter with the main furnace set on using propane do the coach batteries power the fan or do you need generator on?
  7. Thanks all for the help and info! Roland
  8. My unit is 2005 and it does have input for temp probe but no probe. It is the Xantrex Freedom 458 2000w. The manual states that AGM batteries have a similar charge parameters to wet cell. I have purchased 2 LifeLine 6 volt batteries. So I will set it on AGM and check the temp setting. Anything else I need to do?
  9. Brett, reset for the seasons --- does that mean like spring, summer, fall, and winter? Would summer/winter be enough? We live in Michigan and winter in Arizona. thanks for the help. Hi Carl hope your trip went well, like you said it was good to put a face to someone you correspond with. Roland
  10. When setting inverter with agm house batteries and sealed lead acid starter batteries do you use the agm setting?
  11. Any opinions about Amstron 6 v agm vs lifeline 6v agm. $90 price differences.
  12. Bill A, When do dealers go to Yuma? We are in the Phoenix area for winter and would go there if worth while.
  13. I am replacing my house batteries and was wondering if a battery case is a good idea? They are located in a rear storage bin with open air to the motor. Currently don't have case. I am getting AGM type batteries.
  14. As I said I am going to replace my house batteries. Since we are getting ready to put coach in storage until January would i be better off to wait until then to replace. We have no shore power at storage so I start engine once a month and drive the coach when weather permits. Without new batteries I can't start generator.

    Inverter

Brett you are correct, the water pump is 12 v. So really going down the road the only thing I would gain is the electric plugs if I run inverter instead of generator. On cooler days I guess it would make sense but when we need AC need generator. thanks for all the input

    Inverter

Where I store MH I do not have any power available. We have a Norcold refrigerator which I generally run on propane and only other things would be AC which needs generator and infrequent use of water pump and xm radio which is run thru sound system on 120 vac. So if I understand without generator on need inverter to use water pump and xm. When hooked up to shore power doesn't need to be on unless concerned about loss of electricity.

    Inverter

When should inverter be turned on? Do you normally have it on when driving and why? If you are hooked up to shore power do you leave it on? When storing the MH should it be turned off? I have a Xantrex inverter/charger.
  19. We have a Xantrex inverter / charger, I think it is model 458. Don't have coach handy to check. Are 6v sealed or need fluid maintence?
  20. Brett Would 2 6v batteries be enough for what I use? As I said, no dry camping just starting generator and lights for no more than 10 minutes when in storage 1-2 times per month.
  21. I need to replace my house batteries, I currently have 2 12v marine start / deep cycle batteries which are 2+ years old. We do not dry camp and basically use the house batteries very limited. Mostly to start generator and lighting for a few minutes. I am looking to a lower price point since they don't have high use. I know most use 6v, for my use is this necessary?
  22. With my wife's disability it is easier for us to have longer stays. She doesn't travel well but is fine when we are at a place. I would travel more but want to keep her happy 😊
  23. You guys have to much time on your hands!
