  1. We have Dura Shield on our coach, and it is horrible. We have mold growing under every surface that is coated with this stuff. On our color scheme, it's not too noticable on the black painted sections, but we have a lot of beige and champagne colors that look really bad with the splotchy dark brown mold. I'm considering removing it and not replacing it with anything.
  2. When mine failed, I replaced it with a brass one from lowes.com. They usually don't have the brass ones in stock at the stores.
  3. I'm on the FMCA plan, and my total monthly payment is $50.07. No surcharges that add big bucks to the bill.
  4. Ours is. It was an aftermarket install, and is on the same circuit as the fridge which is powered by the inverter. But, we always travel with the generator on automatic, so if the current load on the batteries is too much, the generator kicks in.
  5. We've run ours while driving down the road.
  6. We did the same thing. Got rid of the U shaped dinette and replaced it with the credenza and free standing table. We had the credenza installed at Bradd & Hall, and they did a great job. We had some electrical wiring that ran under the dinette, and they made a wood veneer covered raceway between the pedestals of the credenza, and from the credenza to behind the sofa, using the same wood color that the credenza is made of.
  7. I have Dish. Haven't received anything at all from them about this. And being full time travelers, we change locals frequently.
  8. We changed ours out for the Oxygenics model that has 5 different spray patterns. We got it at one of the big box stores, Lowes or Home Depot. It works great for us.
  9. I guess I lucked out when I got the Verizon unlimited pre-paid plan while it was being offered. It's no longer available, but we are grandfathered in as long as I pay the bill every month and don't buy a replacement hotspot from Verizon. We don't run into throttling, and are currently getting about 60 Mbps download speeds. It's too bad that Verizon pulled this plan from the market, as it really is great for full timers who need reliable internet service without running out of data before the month is out.
  10. Sounded good until I saw this: +Mobile hotspot speeds capped at 5 Mbps and limited to one tethered device at a time.
  11. The first year with Coach-Net is $249. However, renewals are much less. The current annual renewal rate for Coach-Net is $169, but I have always received a discount for early renewal payment. In the past, I have paid as low as $139 for renewal.
  12. When I checked my engine on the Cummins website, it had a C2113 recall dated June, 2019. I called Cummins, and they said it was the same as C2112.
  13. Sometime over the past few days, the option to view the post summary in condensed mode has stopped working. It is now only showing in expanded mode, and clicking the option button has no effect. Something has broken and needs to be fixed.
  14. I want to know how the pork shoulder and rump roast turned out!
  15. If you are talking about the 8800L jetpack, it did have some significant problems with dropping signal and rebooting. I've got one, and it got to the point that it was rebooting as often as every 2 to 5 minutes. I was about ready to throw it out. Then, a few weeks ago, Verizon rolled out a software update, and since then it's been smooth sailing. I've been all over the country from FL to CO since then, and haven't had any issues with the 8800L since the software update. In fact, it performs a lot better than my previous jetpack, a 7730L, with faster download speed and less buffering. On my plan, I do have to put up with network management, but it hasn't been much of a problem unless I am in a highly populated area and the tower is swamped with users.

It's like an ATM withdrawal without the fee. But you have to go inside to get your cash. Too bad they don't have little ATM cash dispensers at the pump.
  17. You can get them from https://magneshade.com/ I don't think they have a reseller network. They do sometimes have booths at RV shows, and list their schedule on their website. I've had mine for about 4 years, and have been very pleased with them.
  18. On the CRV, you have to pull one of the fuses when towing, or the battery will discharge within a couple of hours. The manual shows the fuse to disconnect.
  19. I've got the FMCA Verizon plan, and we've been pleased with it. However, Verizon is pretty strict on the slowdown at 25gb. When you hit that, it slows down to almost unusable speed. Even downloading email takes forever. We don't stream anything, and are very judicious with our internet use, so 25gb usually covers our needs. However, even though our PC's are set as metered connections on Windows, the forced update downloads sometimes eat up our bandwidth. Having to do 3 or 4 days on slow speed at the end of our service month is truly a bummer. When our current contract period is up, I'm definitely switching to the new prepaid Verizon plan.
  20. If you have a Velvac VMax III, which are pretty common for class A coaches, there are 2 screws holding the camera mount on the face of the mirror. Remove those, and you can remove the cover piece. The camera will come out with the cover. Be careful to note the position of the camera (maybe mark it in the holder with a Sharpie) so you can position it in the right place when re-assembling it. You have to get the camera cable tucked back in the right place to get the cover back on properly.
  21. Here's how I do it. I pull up to the truck lane pump, swipe my RV Plus card, input my pin, and the pump turns on. I pump diesel into my tank, and put the nozzle back into the holder when done. Usually the receipt printer is broken or out of tape, so I take a photo of the amount and gallons with my phone. I drive away, and pay my bill when it is emailed to me.
  22. I'm getting the same thing on both Firefox and Windows Edge.
  23. I would rather have the radio that played cassettes. The music was better back then.
