  1. Welcome to the forum. Flying J certainly sells gas but with a 34 footer you can buy gas at almost any station and most likely at a lower cost. I have a Flying J caharge card which offers a discount but I'm not familiar with the rewards program.
  2. Ross, bless your heart, you're so confused. Good Sams Travel assist is not road service, it is similar to the FMCAssit. You know, the plan that will fly you home in a medical emergency. Good Sams Assist or FMCAssist will not come tow you motorhome if it's broken down.
  3. Personally I would not want to cover my motorhome with anything other than some sort of structure during the summer. Lots of things can happen and none of them good.
  4. Roger that. Craigslist is a scam artists utopia.
  5. Gotcha, I just never heard the term locked reply referring to a private message.
  6. I don't know what a locked reply means, what would that help and what needs to be controlled?
  7. I don't ever see it coming to fruition simply because of the logistics of implementing a pay for play program on the forum. Plus it would most likely not have a high rate of return for FMCA. I still think it would be a nice benefit. I think I got a bu$$ call from you today, Carl. I'm glad you're thinking of me.
  8. It's been suggested there would be a charge for posting for sale or wanted needs, would you be willing to pay for this service? I for one would not be willing to pay. This board doesn't have enough visitors to justify paying for an ad but it could be a no expense benefit to members. Ive had really good success both buying and selling on iRV2 and the Escapees forums and neither charge for this service.
  9. Time traveler, you realize you're responding to a 6 year old post.
  10. Thanks for the reference but one post would be sufficient.
  11. I'm not familiar with the Good Sam program but if they are the same and you're paying extra for the Good Sams then by all means cancel the GS since you're dues cover the program at FMCA.
  12. Are there any known easements, set back lines, etc? Will you be able to connect to public utilities, water, sewer? IMHO, if you plan to have concrete road(s) and pads, I think you're $250,000 is low. If using shell or asphalt you may be closer to your budget but then you have the maintenance requirements.
  13. Now that's strange. I wonder why Entegra installed a propane tank in an an all electric coach to run the AH.? In my way of thinking, the benefit of an all electric coach is to get rid of the weight and physical size of the tank.
  14. Remember, I'm Oasis and I didn't not know if that makes any difference.
  15. It's very important to exercise your generator monthly. Start and run the generator under 50% load for an hour.
  16. Of all the posters, it seems you're the only one that feels like you're a castaway. You stated we need a contingency plan when we feel like a castaway so my question to you is - what is your contingency plan?
  17. Carl, did you see the new JL series will have Electronic Power Steering. We better hang on to our Wrangler.
  18. Wayne was able to get a new motorhome when he did this.
  19. So how do you attach cables or chains to a cube? BTW, what is a cube?
  20. Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale a tale of a fateful trip, that started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the Skipper brave and sure, five passengers set sail that day, for a three hour tour, a three hour tour. The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew the Minnow would be lost. The Minnow would be lost.
  21. Bill, please don't hold me responsible for something I said almost four years ago.
  22. Remember guys, we have all the necessities and comforts of home in our motorhomes. I guess if you don't have those comforts you could feel like a castaway.
  23. No problem, now if you'll send me a message once a month to flip the switch there really won't be a problem.
  24. I understand the new Jeep Wrangler JL will use EPS also, better hang on to your current Wrangler.
