LATE BREAKING NEWS FROM YOUR INTERNATIONAL DIRECTORS - ANNOUNCING THE LINE UP OF ENTERTAINMENT! Bonnie & I are pleased to announce some of the entertainment lined-up for our Gillette Rally! We will open Saturday night with our kickoff concert at 7:30 pm by “Riders In The Sky”. Riders In The Sky - As a classic cowboy quartet, the trail has led them to heights they could have never predicted. Riders have chalked up over 6100 concert appearances in all 50 states and 10 countries, appearing in venues everywhere from the Nashville National Guard Armory to Carnegie Hall, and from county fairs to the Hollywood Bowl. Their cowboy charisma and comedic flair made them naturals for TV, and landed them their own weekly show on TNN, as well as a Saturday morning series on CBS. They have been guests on countless TV specials, documentaries and variety shows, appearing with everyone from Barney to Penn & Teller. Ultimately, exceptional careers do not go unnoticed, and throughout theirs, Riders In The Sky have been honored regularly. In addition to being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, Riders are in the Western Music Association's Hall of Fame, the Country Music Foundation's Walkway of Stars, and the Walk of Western Stars (in Newhall, CA near Melody Ranch Studios) along with Gene, Roy, John Wayne and other cowboy legends. No less important than their two Grammies, Riders have been the Western Music Association's "Entertainers Of the Year" seven times, and won "Traditional Group of the Year" and "Traditional Album of the Year" multiple times. The Academy of Western Artists has named them "Western Music Group of the Year" twice in 5 years, and the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum has bestowed Riders with their Wrangler Award statuette three times. It comes as no surprise then that Billboard magazine's Jim Bessman counts them as one of "the most historically significant acts in the history of American music." On Tuesday evening, we are thrilled to announce that Dailey & Vincent will be performing for us! Hailing from world famous stages such as Carnegie Hall and the Ryman Auditorium, Grand Ole Opry Stars and Multi-Award Winners Dailey & Vincent will appear. The duo is riding a wave of critical acclaim for their brand-new release, Patriots & Poets as well as their nationally broadcasted weekly TV series, The Dailey & Vincent Show, on RFD-TV. Regarded among the most reputable and elite entertainers in American music, Dailey & Vincent’s sound is a concoction of traditional country, gospel and bluegrass blended together by the fantastically instinctive vocal blends of Dailey's tenor and Vincent's reedy harmonies. This will be an intimate acoustic performance with Dailey and Vincent and several other musicians. “Stand back or face the force of nature that is this astounding ensemble,” wrote respected critic Robert K. Oermann for Music Row Magazine. “Take it from me, there’s a reason they’ve earned three Grammy nominations, won four Dove Awards, claimed an astounding 35 IBMA honors (including three as Entertainers of the Year and three as Vocal Group of the Year), multiple #1 records, a Public Television Special and their weekly TV series, The Dailey & Vincent Show, on RFD-TV featuring guest artists Vince Gill, The Oak Ridge Boys, Diamond Rio, Tanya Tucker, and more.” Briefly - Grand Ole Opry Members, Five-time GRAMMY® award winners individually, three-time GRAMMY® award nominees collectively, four-time DOVE Award winners, and winners of 35 IBMA Awards altogether (including 3-time IBMA Entertainer of the Year Award winners and 3-Time Vocal Group of the Year Award winners), Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent, backed by one of the best bands on tour today, are some of the most reputable and elite entertainers in American music; bluegrass, traditional country and gospel music. Now on Season 3 of their nationally broadcast television series, “The Dailey & Vincent Show on RFD-TV,” Dailey & Vincent bring their music to a national audience on a weekly basis. After a decade spent performing together and with over 1,000 airings of their PBS special “Dailey & Vincent ALIVE – In Concert,” their concoction of fantastically instinctive vocal blends of Dailey’s tenor and Vincent’s reedy harmonies has gained them well-deserved praise for their own distinctive style and worldwide recognition as American Music gold. Their most recent live CD, “Dailey & Vincent ALIVE,” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass charts and remained at the top position for over 15 weeks. Prior to forming the duo in 2007, both Dailey and Vincent were already seasoned veterans in the Bluegrass world, having garnered great personal success: Jamie Dailey– Jamie Dailey is a 4-time IBMA ‘Vocalist of the Year’ award winner. Growing up performing with family and regional groups, Dailey later became the lead vocalist and guitarist for Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver for over 10 years. In addition to the amazing harmonies of Dailey & Vincent, Dailey’s voice can also be found on several recordings by Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, and Russell Moore. Darrin Vincent – Since beginning to perform at the age of two with his family band, The Sally Mountain Show, Vincent has accumulated 5 GRAMMY Awards and has been voted Bluegrass Bass Player of the Year 4 years in a row (2009-20012). As a former band member for over than 10 years to the GRAMMY Award-winning Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Vincent has credits with dozens of artists including his sister Rhonda Vincent (Queen of Bluegrass), Dolly Parton, Nora Jones, Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, Bruce Hornsby, Vince Gill, John Hartford, and many more. It has been said that Darrin Vincent also has “the best laugh in the biz!” • 35 IBMA Awards (International Bluegrass Music Awards) including 3-time “Entertainer of the Year,” 3-time “Vocal Group of the Year”, “Album of the Year”, and IBMA Award for "Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year.” • 4 Dove Awards for “Bluegrass Album of the Year” and “Bluegrass Song of the Year” • 5-time Grammy® award members individually, 3 Grammy® Award Nominations including nomination for the 2014 “Bluegrass Album of the Year” • 1 Emmy Nomination for their Public Television Special Dailey & Vincent: Alive! Their latest CD “Patriots and Poets” honors our veterans and they have requested a private meeting with up to 100 of our US and Canadian Veterans, Police, Fire, and other First Responders. At registration, we will have a table set up on the side for our Veterans and First Responders to register and pick up tickets. This group can then meet with Dailey and Vincent for one hour on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm in Spirit Hall for a special get-together. Then, Tuesday evening after dinner, Dailey and Vincent will perform for our entire group – They are one of the biggest names in the business – you don’t want to miss this one! To view a moving and well done tribute video to our Veterans featuring their new song “Unsung Heroes”, please click on this video below https://youtu.be/s9R7oYkwjFI On Thursday evening, Bil Lepp returns to the stage. Once again, our hilarious West Virginia story teller and multi time West Virginia Liar Contest winner brings his zany perspective of the world to us. He never tells the same story twice and as you listen to him weave his circuitous tales, you will be mumbling to yourself - “Heck yeah! - That could happen”! Bil Lepp will also give a seminar on storytelling on Friday morning, We will probably have special announcements on additional entertainment shortly….stay tuned!
  4. Alright Mr Smarty Pants, 1-800-Newmar will get you lots of info but they will refer you to the Newmar Kuntry Klub for the scoop on NKK activities. The following is copied from the NKK Newsletter: "As some of you know our website has had a few issues lately. Our web administrator has taken the site down to do maintenance. It will be brought back up as soon as possible. Since it is down we have removed all links to the website from this edition. If you need help with anything in the meantime please email the Klub office kountryklub@newmarcorp.com or call us 877-639-5582. We apologize for this inconvenience."
  5. Miss Adventure, you may want to post on the Alpha sites for the name of the company. The Yahoo group is a closed group but the Facebook group is open. It would have been helpful if he had given you a number or company name. Good luck.
  6. The Newmar Kuntry Klub website is down for maintenance. You can check there later to get info on the Rally. Pre parking begins June 22 I believe.
  7. Is it moisture or has the plastic actually fogged? Fogging/discoloration is usually on the outside of the lens.
  8. I have the same type coverage as Wayne with The Hartford.
  9. Ernie, don't log in and see what you get.
  10. The deal about the numbers and I don't know if the true numbers can be identified is you don't have to be a member to post on the forum and you don't need to be signed in to read the posts. The numbers are irrelevant to me and would only be relevant to advertisers who pay x amount for the number of hits the page gets where their ad may be viewed.
  11. Another jumping post story. I've had trees jump out when backing but never a post. Congratulations to Linda for being the first.
  12. I believe you're numbers are for the hitch rating, that doesn't mean because you have a 15000# hitch you can safely tow 15000#. You need to know the GVWR and the GCWR of your coach and to know what your loaded coach and toad weighs.
  13. The problem with the numbers Herman posted is it doesn't differentiate between members and trolls. There may be128,000 visits but how many are members and how many are guests?
  14. President Walker, thank you for posting on this forum and it is a forum not a blog. You are the president of this organization and this is your first post...appalling and your Shakespearean comment, " much to do about nothing " shows just how out of touch with the members of this forum you are. Like Richard stated, doing it legally doesn't make it right. Does the passage of the Affordable Care Act, generally known as Obama Care, ring any bells of being legally passed yet wasn't right. I find it interesting that you suggest we use a lawful process when we disagree with how our organization is operating. Is that intended to be some sort of threat? Since I'm not involved in the politics of FMCA and as Rhett Butler might say, I really don't give a **** about being politically correct I will voice my opinion as long as free speech is allowed. That is a right guaranteed by the US Constitution and yes I understand the FMCA constitution may disagree. I'm truly sorry for your attitude of its much to do about nothing, what a terrible attitude for a president of any organization to have. Good luck in your tenure as president of FMCA. I'll bow out now as I see FMCA has gone into let's keep denying and they'll go away so I'll be gone from this thread.
  15. BTW, I also vote no on a meet the family page. That one page will require an advertiser. Is Blue Ox going to pay to have somebody discuss how great their Roadmaster is or is Fleetwood going to pay to read how wonderful my Newmar is and .... I joined FMCA for information reasons and remain a member for one reason and one reason only, the medical evacuation benefit. If and when it is no longer available I'll no longer be a member.
  16. Well Ms Kay, seems to me a round table discussion needs to happen there in the puzzle palace and you folks need to come to agreement on your talking points. Do you hear the frustration on the part of we members? It appears to us that you guys come up with what sounds like a good idea, you present it to the executive board and they take the easy way out and say of course it's a good idea. I find it almost comical that you, the communications director, stated "I'm not sure how we could have involved the entire membership in the decision regarding a new name." You're in communications and you don't know how to communicate with the members? If you worked for me, I would terminate you with cause for making that statement. I'm going to ask this question and I respectfully ask for an answer, what percentage of the FMCA salaried personnel own a rv? That will be a vital piece of information to help me understand how it is that FMCA personnel don't understand where we as members are coming from. If the powers to be decide to shut this thread down, I believe that will signify how strongly the FMCA leaders could give a care what we the dues paying members think.
  17. I know. Maybe he ordered it special with a steering wheel lock. My 16 doesn't have a steering wheel lock. Turn the key off lock the doors and put the key in my pocket. I think he thinks the Mopar wiring kit is going to unlock a steering wheel that isn't lockable. DaimlerChrysler isn't even sure if it will stop the death wobble. I cant help but wonder what he is towing with...
  18. Please please guys. This thread is not about that at all. What do you think of the new name on the magazine and the procedure of selecting the name?
  19. Carl, the American Canoe Association is thinking about allowing Jon boats to join but limited to 7 1/2 hp Evinrude motors.
  20. The wiring harness you and all other Cherokee owners are waiting on is to possibly help with the Cherokee death wobble.
  21. Hang on, hold it, stop the presses. I thought and guess I thought it because what you wrote is you can't get the steering wheel unlocked and now you're saying it's because of the death wobble the Jeep Cherokees have been having for several years. Google "Jeep Cherokee death wobble" and you can find enough information to keep you busy for a few days.
