    FMCA Plates

Apparently Ross knows something with his comment probably need to check with FMCA to get supplier information. Kiley has been the supplier forever.
  2. Did you read my post? There are only two manufacturers that are currently licensed to use the TRW patented Comfort Drive System, Newmar and Newell. AC is American Coach owned by the REV Group. I'm not familiar with their steering system.
  3. I can't believe it but you finally got caught. How did you manage to get away with it since Nov, 2016.
  4. It's amazing to me how many owners don't have a tool box with basic tools, Bill. They do have a credit card and apparently more money than I have, of course lots of people have more money than me. 🤑
  5. When you ask a Newmar owner what do you like best about owning a Newmar product and the top two answers are usually its a quality product and the outstanding customer service from Newmar. I have the direct number to two brand specialists and the phone rolls over to one of their cell phones after hours and weekends.
  6. My wife would not drive our previous motorhome but she will drive the Newmar with Comfort Steer. Funny thing too, the Newmar is almost 7ft longer than the least coach.
  7. I would think dragging a tire sideways would leave a significant trail of rubber. If they were at speed that would make me believe they had a LF blowout which in turn cased the steering wheel to turn to the left causing the tread damage to the right tire. Did they have a TPMS?
  8. At this time only two manufacturers use the TRW patented electronically aided steering system, Newmar and Newell. Foretravel does use a similar system. Just so you know, Comfort Drive is not a magical thing that you'll immediately feel once you climb behind the wheel. Typically, you realize what it does at the end of the day. On a 600 mile drive, you might feel like you only drove 400. The Comfort Drive automatically adjusts for wind push and road crown every few seconds as you drive. Often, you can be getting pushed by a 20 mph crosswind and never know it, unless you're watching the trees and bushes along the side of the road. It also has an adjustable knob that sets the wheel for a standard feel or steering with just a fingertip. This is really nice when backing into a campsite. When ever the wheel is released after a turn, it automatically returns to center whether you're moving or not.
  9. I suggest driving both. I can tell you from my experience, it's the most comfortable driving I've ever experienced but you really need to experience it for your self, particularly on a windy day and make sure you notice when a truck passes.
  10. Some do. Some don't. Some will. Some won't.
  11. Carl, I want you to know that I for one appreciate you stimulating the economy. I encourage you to spend whatever amount necessary to protect your coach. There....feel better?😉
  12. I would be more inclined to have an ESP if I had the electronic items that more and more of the high end coaches use. I'm concerned there are so few techs equipped to work on this stuff that the diagnosis time is going to be exorbitant as we will be paying for their OTJT. Of course this poses another problem, will the ESP be willing to pay the diagnosis time, probably not, so then your left trying to find a qualified shop. Ugh!
  13. We also added a 2" foam topper to our King size Sleep Number, 👍.
  14. We're about 60 miles south of you and had rain with thunder and lightning but I never heard the wind. Since we need the rain so badly, I hope it continues all day. 🌨⛈🌦
  15. Can you pm me where you found this? I can financially handle replacing the ac or such but the engine and tranny is another subject.
  16. My only comment would be if that's what the manual says do, do it. Were you looking for something specifically?
  17. See the post proceeding yours, RossBoyer post.
  18. No, non, no Don. You know as well as I do that unless you're only going in reverse with the toad in front, you're pushing. Now if you're going in reverse always, you would be towing. I definitely see your point so they need to add another category for toads pushed in front of a motorhome. Right? Would that resolve the issue or am I confusing pushing from the rear to towing from the front. I don't know, my head hurts now.
  19. Google is such a friend..... http://rvbasics.com/techtips/sanitizing-your-rv-fresh-water-system.html
  20. I sugggest you decide your budget and then see what fits in the budget. You can buy anything from scooters to cars on Craigslist and other online sources. Several forums, not this one, have classified sections. I've successfully used both iRV2 and Escapees forum to buy and sell items. The FMCA magazine has a classified section but it's so out of date by the time the magazine comes out its not been useful for me.
  21. 🤷‍♂️ Seems you answered your question yourself. 🤐
