  1. Ken wants to make sure he got his point across, Carl. As you know Ken, I have several friends with towables but that's not the point any of us are trying to make. It's not that towables are now allowed to join its that some of us didn't/don't like the way the gurus in the Ohio puzzle palace make decisions that affect the FMCA membership. I hope we can now get back on the original topic, the changing of the magazine name.
  2. 🤷‍♂️ I'm Still trying to figure how he spent $4000 rigging his Trailhawk for towing. I may to start another business if there is this kind of profit in rigging toads. I've installed base plate, M&G Brakes and lights on three Jeeps and a Malibu and I don't think I spent much more than that on all four combined. On second thought, I didn't spend close to that.
  3. Are you intentionally copying and pasting? By giving the same information over and over expecting different results is not going to resolve your problem.
  4. Here is a place to get some info on the Norcold problems. https://www.zehllaw.com/norcold-rv-fire-attorneys/
  5. I still I don't understand, did you special order this Jeep with a locking steering wheel? Everyplace I look it never says a thing about a locking steering wheel.
  6. Exactly why we moved from Montgomery County to Canyon Lake over a year ago. We laugh when people complain about traffic here, they don't have a clue what real traffic is.
  7. I don't think low amperage would cause anything to flash on and off. If a light is on it would possibly be dim but it would not flash on and off.
  8. I have not written one post regarding the change in direction of FMCA until John opened the can of worms with his statement the "magazine staff made the decision" comment and that caught my attention. Who gives/gave the magazine staff the authority to change anything? I thought, like Richard stated, we were a member run organization. I now wonder how many other decisions the magazine staff will make that will effect the membership.
  9. Yeah but were saving the environment. Sure we are he says sarcastically.
  10. I didn't mean to get the thread going a different direction. Sorry.
  11. According to the Mopar 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk manual that is online, there is no steering wheel lock.🤷‍♂️
  12. Wayne, do you really think those folks sleeping on the ground in Big Bend when it was 38 degrees were having as much fun as I was in my king size bed with the heat pumps purring? Maybe fun is the wrong term. Maybe comfortable vs uncomfortable would be better terminology.
  13. Phil, John has previously stated that's not financially feasible. Just to be clear, I have nothing against allowing any rv'er membership in FMCA, it's how they go about making those kinds of decisions. From my understanding they are still trying to figure out the definition of a rv.
  14. You'll know the first time you use it.....😷 Or🚽 Or 🌹
  15. But the magazine staff thought.....bunk. I'm really curious, is there a person on the magazine staff that owns or has ever been in a motorhome other than to possibly take a picture. John, your response is exactly why so many members are upset - a few on staff thought it would be a good idea. In my opinion, if the "staff" were running Wimbledon they would be playing badminton in court two.
  16. I don't remember what he had but it was not a Newmar. He and his wife appreciate having the emergency exit DOOR in the rear bathroom in the 4369 floor plan.
  17. Lyle lost his coach in a scary fire quite some time ago and they are just now getting back to rving. Welcome back and welcome to the Newmar family, Lyle. Have you thought about going to the NKK Rally in Gillette this June?
  18. Roland is up the road from us but I'll be through there in the morning. I hope to catch some of that west wind tomorrow to blow me back to Canyon Lake. 🌬💨🌬💨🌬💨🌬💨
  19. The problem Bill is we don't know what year he is referring to. It's like asking is a Honda CRV flat towable, the answer is yes it is and no it's not.
  20. Naaaaw. It is only bad in April. We have had a nice breeze today.
  21. I noticed yesterday while driving a back road, my dust was blowing in front of me and I was driving 30+mph.
  22. My suggestion is to read the manual and see what it says about recreational towing or four down towing.
  23. Wow...almost 40% first timers, I'm not sure what to make of that.
  24. Can't you do the same thing with Gas Buddy?
