  1. Pilot stopped giving discounts about a year ago due to their contract with good Sam. If you use the TSD EFS app Open Roads, you will know the discounted price prior to fueling.
  2. A group of 8 motorhome owners developed an electronic work around. https://defsim.myervin.com/
  3. I will most likely renew with CoachNet and yes its more expensive but they seem to realize the difference in a motorhome and a roller skate.
  4. I realize that its customary to mostly see the negatives for a companies service. Since I'm about to renew my CoachNet policy, I would be curious if any members have some positive experiences to share with the FMCA Roadside Assistance.
  5. Wow. I removed my refrigerator and installed a new one in less than 2 hours and with no special equipment, well I did need my wife to help getting through the door. You're using a 14,000 pound lift to move a refrigerator that weighs a few hundred pounds.
  6. Here is an update reported to be from the EPA that was posted on another forum.Statement Regarding Failed Diesel Emission Fluid (DEF) SensorsEPA and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) have been working with the manufacturers of diesel vehicles and engines to address an issue related to the ongoing shortage of computer chips and the impact that has had on the availability of certain replacement parts. One part in particular, a sensor that monitors the quality of diesel emissions fluid (DEF), has been of concern because the failure of the part can lead to the vehicle being unable to operate. The Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA) on behalf of its member companies has proposed an industry wide approach that would provide a software solution for vehicles with failed parts to enable them to operate temporarily while the industry works to produce more replacement parts and that, long term, would provide replacement parts through a recall program. EPA and CARB have reviewed the proposed approach and believe it is appropriate for the companies to implement the proposed solution going forward as quickly as possible. The manufacturers must still develop new software code and test it to ensure the software can be installed on vehicles in the field. The companies expect that they will be able to begin fixing some vehicles with failed sensors as soon as this week. The companies will also make available a similar software update for vehicles whose sensors have not failed but are among a group of vehicles where such a failure could be expected to occur to prevent a sensor failure from disabling the vehicle. This updated software is likewise expected to be available to service centers in the coming weeks. For more information, please contact your dealer or service center.
  7. There are 1000's of these in service and to tag this a Consumer Safety Alert seems to be a little alarmist. I have the exact refer in my Newmar and in 4 years and 25,000 miles no issues.
  8. Personally I don't see this as some huge safety problem. This isn't close to the Norcold issues where people lost their lives.
  9. The most important requirement is the residential refer most likely has to be counter depth. That narrows the field quickly.
  10. https://m-gengineering.com/ Where are you located?
  11. Yes, it is in Texas. Car dealers in my area are asking and getting MSRP plus for popular vehicles.
  12. Just for clarification, Mahlon Miller was owner and Matt, his son, was president when WGO bought Newmar.
  13. I think St Brendans Isle is the name of a mail forwarding service in Florida.
  14. What was the stated reason for denying the claim?
  15. Unfortunately, Don, I've seen the customer service decline sense WGPO's takeover and from what I read on other forums the quality has gone down also. I certainly don't blame Matt as I would do the exact same thing. When you start reporting to bean counters, and thats exactly who is taking over, the only thing that matters is bottom line.
  16. Matt will cash in some of his half million shares of Winnebago stock and live very comfortably. In reality, can you blame him? Newmar had been a family owned and operated business until WGO bought them. Basically, Matt had never answered to anyone expect his dad and since the WGO acquisition, he has had to answer to a completely different protocol. Newmar has always been about quality and WGO is all about profitability. It always makes a difference when you have to answer to the stockholders rather than your customers.

  18. Much colder than a Nocold just leave the inverter on. Assuming you will have an induction cooktop, you will need induction cooktop cookware.
  19. Just a heads up for users of the FMCA Sprint service. https://9to5mac.com/2021/08/18/t-mobile-hack-confirmed/?fbclid=IwAR2B76Iq8NbYgZAcYfi8ysjKxUjvD73OVJCm2aLN6gaS3SmuvmA2Tpgq4BQ
  20. I just saw your second post. You need to clean more than just behind the blades. You need to clean as much as possible. Make sure to check for plastic bags, etc.
  21. If it is truly plugged, it would probably be better to remove the radiator and the CAC and have it professionally steam cleaned. Should you decide to undertake the project yourself I suggest using the Simple Green that is formulated for aluminum or limit the time the Simple Green Heavy Duty Cleaner is on the aluminum to no more than 10 Minutes. I used a pump up sprayer with the correct mixture of SG and water and sprayed from the engine side. Let it set and rinse with a garden hose. If its plugged its may take several applications.
  22. Only if the cooker will fit securely in the sink and yes, either your inverter or genset needs to be on.
  23. To answer your questions about " Has covid increased in that area? Is the government placing these undocumented persons in this area?" At this time, covid has increased everywhere, including Texas. Your question about are the undocumented being placed in this area really can't be definitively answered because the majority of the migrants are being dispersed by the catholic charities. Where they're being dispersed is anybody's guess because catholic charities is providing bus or plane tickets to wherever they want to go and nobody keeps any records of their destinations. My church was working closely with catholic charities in San Antonio until we found out what they were doing and we stopped supporting them. Last weeks numbers for my county for new cases is equal to January, 2021 numbers. Like Don stated, these are the facts and the numbers are published by the Public Health Dept of the counties. What scares me is I have 5 friends diagnosed in the past 2 days, 5 friends in July and I had only 2 friends diagnosed prior to this time.
