  1. Diane, We are with Texas Farm Bureau. We live in Grayson County, Texas. We have had several claims and their rates have increased less then 5% since we have been with them, 6 years. I am not sure if they cover outside of Texas. Herman
  2. Many folks already know this but for those that don't here is a hint in case of an Emergency. Each of you have that one or more people that you want contacted if the need arises. Edit you contacts on your cell phone. Add "ICE" to the person or persons name who needs to be contacted in an Emergency. This is incase you are incapacitated, emergency personnel can go to your phone and under contacts type in "ICE" and up pops the person to contact. I hope this helps folk and at the same is never needed. Herman
  3. 10-4, IMHO if a manufacturer was going to put in overhead cabinet in an area they would have structured the area to support the weight. From what Carl said Alpha had no intentions of putting overhead cabinets in their slide outs and may have saved money by using less costly materials. Just thinking off the top of my head(and yes that is open for intrastation). Herman
  4. A few year ago there may have been 6 Wineries in and around Fredericksburg. Now they are so many it is hard to decide which 10 you want to see each day for your month long stay in the area. Herman
  5. I believe the OP is asking about adding cabinets to his slide on the inside of his coach. It can be done if the coaches structure is strong enough to carry the weight. If the OP wants to add some his best bet would be to go to an RV Salvage yard and purchase ones that would fit. Herman
  6. Thanks for the info. on the Freightliner chassis. It appears the Alpha See Ya is on a Freightliner chassis. Herman
  7. I believe the OP, asked before, Would he have to drop his tank to check the sending unit. If your Alpha is like most Diesel Pusher you can fill from either side. The fill nozzles should be located in a bay door on either side. If so you should be able to have access to the tank and the top where you will find the sending unit. You should be able to check for loose wires, power and oms. I know there was more good information before and maybe the responders will answer again. Good Luck, Herman
  8. I have seen quite a few Topics just popping up as if they are new. I just hope they all come back It was found that someone tried to attack the Forum. They have increased the security. Hope it over. Herman
  9. You were saying that the Forum being down was my fault. Well it wasn't and I worked very hard to get it back up. I can take humor just not sarcastic humor.

  10. I take offence to you accursing me of having anything to do with the site going down. I worked very hard with the IT Department to get it back up. I said that it would have to taken care of when they were back in the office and here is what the IT Dept. said. It also looks like someone had been trying to attack the forums but could not get past the security that we had setup on the server so they hit us with a DDOS attack, which is where they load the pages of the site up so many times and so fast that no one else can load it. Jason stabilized the server this morning and I then tuned up the security a bit more. If any thing Thanks should be given to Jason and Larry. Herman
  11. Both fmca.com and the Forum are working fine. The Forum had an issue earlier but fmca.com was never down. When I contacted the IT department they got right on it and was back up within less than 2 hours. Herman
  12. I understand what you mean about the cable on the dash. However if you mount it on your drivers window won't you loose a lot of left side vision? In the center of the dash seems like the ideal location to get the maximum viewing. As said before, Welcome to the Forum. Herman
  13. Sorry Earnie, classified ads or solicitation of any form are not permitted on the Forum. Reference to a company or product may be made when it is used in response to a Topic. Again sorry, Herman
  14. It one time my voltage read, 88/156 volts. What I found was my power cable had a burnt blade in it. I replaced both ends and am now very cautious on making sure the breaker is off before I plug in and disconnect. Haven't had that problem since. Just to remind you this Topic hadn't had a posting in 4 years (April 15, 2016 Tax Day). Herman
  15. Hawk, Welcome to the Forum. That is not unusual. Insurance quotes by different companies depend on many factors. Location, claims in a particular area, and first time quotes (lots of time your first year with an insurance company will be low then Up it goes the next). This is why it is good to shop each year or at least every two years. I have shopped every year for the past 5 years and my current company has been good each time. Again welcome. Herman
  16. Carl, it may not help too much but you can go to Auto Zone and get one of those cedar scented trees to hang from you mirror and have a bit of smell till you get back. Enjoy Florida. Herman
  17. My mistake, the Buick Encore GX is the only Buick listed for 2021. Herman
  18. Mike, Welcome to the Forum. I checked the FMCA Towing Guide for 2006. Lots of Manufacturers listed however Volkswagen wasn't listed at all. So I checked 2004-5-7-8 none of the guides had VW's listed. If you have your owners manual maybe the information is in there. Good Luck and Merry Christmas Again Welcome Herman
  19. My God Bless you one and all.🙏 Herman (thanks Doc for starting this topic)
  20. JZ, after all of our suggestions and stories what did the shop you had look at your unit have to say or find out? Inquiring minds would like to know. Herman
  21. Ditto, I try to run the Generator with one of my Heat Pumps on for 30 to 45 minutes once a month. Herman
