From the look of the plug nothing has been plugged into it for some time if ever. Herman

CC, I have to correct you on one point part of the wiring connects both, however the Yellow wire is for the Left (Driver side) Turn signal while the Green is for the Right (Passengers side) turn signal and should never be connected together . Through some magic they come together for Stop and Flasher signals. Most is done through the turn signal module in the steering column. Herman

Bill need I remind you why this Topic was started, it was a place where you could converse on any thing and not stray from the Topics and Postings on a particular subject. In other words this Topic in the "General Discussions" section has no topic to Hijack. But thanks for all you do for the members of the Forum. Herman -

And all you have to do is get outside any city and you can find them. The only thing that can reproduce faster then a rabbit are feral hogs. On my friends ranch they kills 4 or 5 hogs each time they go there plus 4 to 5 rattlesnakes. The good thing is that there is no limit on either. Herman -
Ray/Richard, Nothing has been said about a shutdown. I will check and let everyone know. What I have heard is that there will be a short time where they will been running both systems together. I have always heard that that is the best way to start up a new program, just in case something happens and they loose data, they have the old as a backup. I'll let you know if there are any changes. 99 pace arrow v10 battery & Charging
hermanmullins replied to seynel8228's topic in Type A motorhomes
If the picture is showing how the batteries were wired then they are correct. The house works on 12 volts. And to get 12 volts out of two 6 volt batteries the two 6 volts must be wired in series. If you parallel then all you have is 6 volts. Sorry you don't have a secondary generator. You have an Alternator on the engine and coach generator. Do you know how many amps you auxiliary generator out out. Herman -

99 pace arrow v10 battery & Charging

As Ray said, Welcome to the Forum. Some good advice from Ray and I would like to add one thing. If your alternator is found to be bad, consider installing a higher amperage alternator, It may cost a bit more but you will faster charging. Do you leave the coach plugged into shore power when in storage? If not I would do as Ray said, when putting the coach up for a while make sure the batteries are fully charged and disconnect the ground cable on both the chassis and house batteries. Again, Welcome Herman -
By the way when topping off be sure all slides and Jack's are retracted. You don't want to overfill. Herman
-
Robh, If your Jack's are HWH us automatic transmission fluid. Try looking under your top entry step. If you have a tray under the step, pullout the tray and remove the container. If that is what you have you should find your pump and resiouervor. Or raise your coach and look under the step assemble. Herman

Dennis, the 2 yellow are for your turn and stoplight, the 2 brown ard for your tail light and the 2 black can be for either 12 volt power or ground. Just tie the 2 brown to the single brown on the new single brown and the same on the black and yellow. You should be good to go. Herman

For years there have been discussions on what the definitions of big is. It all depends on who is answering the question. Herman

Eric, Welcome to the Forum. We have the Verizon MiFi from FMCA it claims to have unlimited service but at 25 gigs it will throttle back and is slow down severally. However i have had mine for over three years and that has only happened twice. So for me it has served us well all over. I understand, but can't confirm, the Sprint Connect is very good on the East Coast. Again, Welcome. Herman

Dog, I will have to admit I had no idea what a United Specialties Coach was so I looked it up. It is a nice looking Super C. So again, Welcome to the Forum with your nice looking Super C. Now back to your question, If you have power that you can plug into when in storage it would be a good idea to keep it plugged in with the inverter on. That way your Batteries will be maintained and charged. It would also be a good thing to check the batteries every 5 to 6 weeks for water levels and cleanliness. Herman

Thanks to all for the help given on this topic but now it the time for it to end. Herman Mullins, Site Moderator

Welcome to the Forum. If your have the coach plugged in then Yes you may leave the inverter/charger turned on. A lot depends on where you live. If you live in a very cold climate and totally winterize it then I would be sure the batteries are full of water and fully charged and then disconnect the ground cable then let it sleep for the winter. I keep our plugged because I keep items in the refrigerator. Our coach is stored in my insulated garage/barn only 50 feet from our back door. It is helpful if you lets us know what kind of RV you have then we will have a better idea of what we are dealing with and someone with the same RV may have had your same issue. Again Welcome, Herman
