  1. The FMCA placard F54182 belonged to the Mancini Family of Fall River, MA. Herman
  2. Did it work after you fixed it? Just asking like Ray. Your quote above said you fixed it, so we both are asking did it run after you fixed it and then quit again? If so what did you do to make it work when you fixed it before? You may just have a loose wire. As always the more information the better we can help. Herman
  3. It could mean two more things, they can take in twice as much work or they can get the work out twice as fast. Congratulations on having your son working with you, you must be very proud. Herman
  4. Frank, we have all been there and gotten chewed out by the DW for leaving the fill valve open. Herman
  5. Louise, Most all Chapters welcome guest. However some hold Rallies where the Parking is limited and their members have first choice. Some have a rally of some sort every month. I know of one chapter where all of the members live very close and they will hold dinner parties at each others homes plus 3 or 4 day rallies some where close or far away. Some will hold Rolling Rallies where they move from RV park to RV Park. Some hold only one rally each year either at one of the National Conventions or at their Area Rallies. Some chapters are so large that they don't like drop in's because of parking spots. So I guess the best answer to " Do any chapters require sponsors to be able to join your chapter?" would be yes a few do but most don't. Hope this helps. Herman
  6. Roland, Texas is taking precautions like many other states. Most every Businesses require a mask to enter. Folks are for the most part practicing social distancing but there are some, but very few that defy the signs. At any health care facility you will have your temperature taken, ask the normal questions and some will, after you are checked in, will ask you to wait in your car and they will call you in. Hope that all are Safe and Healthy. Herman
  7. Bill Yes Carl has 600 hp with Allison 4000. His transmission is an Allison 4800, rated for up 680 hp and 2644 ft lbs of torque. So his coach is right on. Herman
  8. We, Lone Star, will be having our first Rally since February next month. The Wagon Master or Host as some call them, has asked me if I will take each person's temperature as they arrive. He wants everyone to feel safe. We will see how it goes. Herman
  9. Joe is there a Sika product that isn't Black? I looked at the website and saw some good products but all that were for floors or roofs were Black. I can't imagine putting a black coating on an RV roof. Maybe I didn't see the correct material. Herman
  10. TT, I had our coaches roof done in Perry at the National in 2014. It was done at the same time I had the coach washed. It was some sort of spray on and cost an additional $50.00 and lasted for about three years. I do keep the coach inside when not in use. Will have it done again in Perry if I can find the same crew. Herman
  11. Check with National Indoors RV Center in Phoenix. They have a great service center with good techs. 11280 N Solar Way Surprise, AZ 85379 520-442-2500 Herman
  12. Put a light outside and away from the door. Also keep the inside lights to minimum. They are a pest. Herman
  13. It sounds like you have an alignment problem or you have a over weight problem.Your axles may have shifted. It can happen if you hit a curb or a really bad pothole. Have the alignment checked and each wheel weighted. Let us know what you find. Herman
  14. Is it the door that is dragging or the drip rail? Both can be adjusted. The door by tighting the screws and drip rail by the screw slots. Herman
  15. I read your other post about Autoformer, are you talking about an ATS aka Automatic Transfer Switch? Herman
  16. Fashafer, You can remove the screens and do a good job of cleaning them. If you don't know how, just open the window as far as you can, then move the screen towards the middle of the window and lift up on the screen. The bottom of the screen will clear the windows bottom grove and you should be able to remove the screen. If you have a tube large enough to lay the screen flat in it (a kiddies pool would do in a pinch), you can cover the screen with warm water with Dawn soap in the water and let then soak for a while (lightly scrub if needed). Then remove, rinse several time let dry and re install the reverse order which you removed them. Your screens should be clean and free of streaks. Herman
  17. I have always found that when going cross country to travel one day and try to stop at an interesting place for two night. Spend the night, spend the day seeing the area and spend the night and travel for a day and repeat. This way you have time for a bit of sightseeing and can learn of places you would like to spend more time in. And you can always extend your stay if you like the place. When we have a destination we need to get to we go directly there but always plan to take our time going back. It's hard to set time when you have to be someplace on a certain time or date, but when you have finished then it leisure time on the way back. Herman
  18. Remember if needed the interest on a motorhome is deductible on your income tax. I myself think a lot of a Monaco, as well as a Tiffin, Newmar and Foretravel. All are great coaches but like Ford, Chevrolet and even Cadillac there can be lemons and diamonds. Herman
  19. Yeas but as you said they are VERY costly unless you want to go into the business of weighting coach. Herman
  20. Yes they have thermostats to control the heat of the water. If not how would you regulate the temperature of the water? Herman
  21. I made a extension cord out of 12 gauge power cord. Put a standard three prong plug on one end and a 30 amp RV receptacle on the other end. I use a 50 to 30 amp reducer. I only use it to keep the refrigerator running and the inverter on. If hphock made such a extension card, with out the reducer, he would have the length he needs and can hook it into any 20 amp wall plug. No worrying about going into the hot tube wiring. Herman
  22. Thanks Wayne, we have the Toll Tag but works in Houston as well as Oklahoma and Kansas. Herman
  23. Definitely if you like to do your own work, a side radiator is best. Herman
