  1. "Off we go with a rocket strapped to our Butts, Flying high into Orbit****************" Kinda has a ring to it doesn't it? Herman
  2. Light load 1/4 gallon per hour, medium load 1/2 gallon per hour and 1 gallon per hour under heavy load. Not exact but pretty average. Herman Bill hit the enter button just before I did.
  3. I just had another thought what will their nick name be. We have the US Army "Ground Ponders." The US Air Force "Air Dales" The US Marine Corp "Jar Heads" The US Navy "Swabies" (I am one) The US Coast Guards "Hooligans" Hmm, how about "Space Jockeys" Herman
  4. Doc, I have a question. Is the new branch of the Armed Forces, the "Space Force" a actual branch of of the US Air Force like the US Marine Corp is a branch of the US Navy? I know they stand alone in name and are both great branches of the US Armed Forces. (THE GREATEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD) Herman
  5. Thank you, mystery solved. Herman
  6. For the FMCA Towing Guide go here https://www.fmca.com/towing-guides-towing-four-wheels-down/ Herman
  7. I suspect that the loose gear box may have created the problem. I think it's time to go into the box and check the gears. Couldn't hurt since you are thinking of a new box anyway. Herman
  8. Dear FMCA Member: It is with great disappointment that I must announce that the Rocky Mountain Motorhome Association (RMMA) has decided to postpone our upcoming Rocky Mountain Ramble, which was scheduled for October 21-24, 2020, at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Arizona. While I'm sure we are all anxious to get back to the RVing lifestyle we enjoy and come together once again for the Ramble, the health and safety of our members must be first and foremost. With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing, and in some cases worsening, across the United States, the RMMA Board determined it would be in everyone's best interest to postpone the event for this year. I am happy to report that the 36th Rocky Mountain Ramble, "Sunset on the Sonoran Desert," will be held October 20-23, 2021, at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson. Hopefully by next fall the COVID-19 pandemic will be under control and we can once again get together for a Rambling good time! Those who have already registered for the 2020 Ramble will receive a full refund as either a credit returned to your credit card or a check mailed to your primary address. I wish you all a happy and healthy summer. Sincerely, Jamie Erickson, F142560S Rocky Mountain Area President National Vice President, Rocky Mountain Area 505-330-1380 jerickson@fmca.com
  9. Bob & Carol, Welcome to the Forum. Of the two you mentioned my choice would be the Wrangler, as long as it is 4 Wheel Drive. The Jeep Wrangler has been a very popular vehicle to tow for many years. I towed an 94 for about three years. When you come back to the Forum, how about putting what kind of RV you have with year and model. It will help everyone to answer any question. The more information we have makes us look real good with our answers and/or suggestion. Again Welcome. Good Luck on your choice. Herman

  11. So Bill, a 40 foot coach with full body, four color and three coats of clear for $20,000 to $30,000 is not to far out of the ball park? Sounds fair to me to be painted in the U S of A. A suggestion for a quote in the Southwest might be Xtreme Graphic in Nacogdoches, Texas. Ask for James Stallings the owner. 936-560-5888 Tell him Herman recommended them. It may not help but James needs a good laugh ever now and then. Another really good shop would be "Charlies Paint & Body" in Searcy Arkansas. They have all the necessary tools and training to do RV full body paint as well as RV Windshield replacement. 501-268-1929 Herman
  12. What I found out from Safelite is that they don't replace RV Windshields. They are good an automobiles windshields and are recommended by many Insurance Companies. I am not sure if they can replace RV windshield gaskets since they wont do RV W/S. Now chips may be another item. Several Recommendations; Custom Glass Solutions 855-362-2784 RV Fog DR. 501-278-3013 Hope this helps. Herman
  13. Welcome to the Forum. Call FMCA and ask for Larry Pennington. He will walk you through getting set up. 513-474-3622 Herman
  14. Good thought to use your Blinkers, I do the same when merging onto traffic when I am trying to get up to speed with the traffic. Herman
  15. I know in hind site it was a dumb question. Herman
  16. Bill, Dan Ball, FMCA Director of Membership and Marketing, has been working very hard with recruitment. You are correct about RVs blowing off the lots so to speak. Young people are looking for ways to have and enjoy their families during this time. Is it a fad? What we as RVers and FMCA members need to do is find ways to entice these folks to stay with their RV's and to join FMCA. The best recruiting tool FMCA has is all of us. We, the members need to sell, sell sell FMCA. Herman (My favorite pitch is FRIENDSHIP, I have made friends all over the US of A that I would never had without FMCA)
  17. John, I don't think they would give a double discount. Take the quote you received from Michelin and go to a dealer and see what they might do. I have heard some dealer will make a better deal then the Program. They are able to make a better profit margin then what they get from Michelin. Worth a try on both. Herman
  18. Carl, payback is heck isn't it. From Bill, Wayne, Ray and I. Herman
  19. Him, Welcome To The Forum. Give an email to Larry Pennington at FMCA. Larry can answer your question. Please come back with what you find out, others would like to know. lpennington@fmca.com Herman
  20. Bill, stepping up in a fuse is ok for a quick fix but I would be more concerned with what was causing the required size fuse to blow. Increasing fuse amp size can cause some hot things to happen. IMHO Herman
