  1. Beth, Welcome to the Forum. Not being familiar with your coach I don't know if it is Gas or Diesel. On many diesel coaches there is a compartment on the drivers side in front of the wheel. There will be many fuses. Also you may find a fuse panel in the closet or in storage area in the bedroom. Some times they are small little black boxes and sometimes larger black boxes mounted on the side wall. Hope you find it. Herman
  2. Thanks Ross. Only been there once in a car. That was in 2000 if I remember correctly. Beautiful place and wonderful experience for both Scouts and Scoutleaders. Herman
  3. Fairlane was first made in 1962. The 51 Ford was the last of that body style. The only way for me to tell the difference between 49, 50 and 51 was the 49 had pull door handles, the 50 and 51had push button door handles and the 51 had the double bullet grill. Loved all three. Herman
  4. If you haven't or don't remember getting an email from FMCA send a email to Doug Uhlenbrock and ask to have your certificate sent. duhlenbrock@fmca.com. Each certificate is numbered. Herman
  5. Jim, I have been on 64 from Raton to Taos in a 28 foot gas coach. The only problem I had was lack of power. The roads were fine, a bit winding and a lot of ups and downs. I have friends that were Workampers in Eagles Nest, NM in a 40 ft. Roseair and had no problems. If you would like stop in Cimarron and visit Philmont Scout High Adventure Camp. You might disconnect in Cimarron and drive your tow to the camp it's only a couple of miles and a great trip. Of course that is depending on it being open because of the Pandemic. Have a great trip and be safe. Herman
  6. And to you to. Thanks, you reminded me that I needed to lower and bring in my flag. Herman
  7. Ditto, I would like to see the coach that wore the tire out rather then aging out. One other thing to examine in addition to the side walls is in between the treads. The sides can look fine and have extensive cracking between the treads. (from experience) Herman
  8. If it is covered by insurance why not find a shop to make the repairs and let them find a fender. It may take a week or several months but you can let them find one. I am sure the insurance company would be glad to work with a shop to save them from having to have one made. If they have to make one make sure they keep the mold or pattern, you never know when you might clip another short post. Herman
  9. You should be able to tow without a pump if you stay under 65 mph and stop every 3 to 4 hour and run the engine for at least 5 minutes. This does several things, it lubes the transmission, it will help the battery recharge and will give you a break where you can stretch your legs and maybe walk the dog. Herman
  10. Louie, your Chapter is one of the larger Chapters in FMCA. And congratulation on that. There may be some Chapter in California that are having large rallies. I know you'll are celebrating you 50th anniversary on the 5th to the 8th of November. Hope the place where it is schedule for is up and running by then. At this time I know that LB & Carol plan on going and Joe Wright is planning on attending. I wish we could be there but I will be heading up the group of volunteers at the State Fair in Shreveport at that time. And again, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. Herman
  11. louiseg1248, Welcome to the Forum. FMCA has canceled all National Conventions and Area Rallies for the remainder of the year. However that doesn't effect Chapter Rallies. Chapters may still have Rallies if they can find a RV Park that can or will accommodate them and the area is open to gatherings such as a Rally. Our home Chapter has members all over Texas. In the area where we live there are 10 or so couples that live close. About 2 weeks ago we met at a restaurant, each ordered carry out and sat in the parking lot, had dinner and visited. A week later we had a covered dish supper at our house, we live in the country. Both outing were a nice change for what we are going through now. No one is sick and all have been practicing social distancing. Herman
  12. Folks will, and in their mind have a right to complain about the cost of Assist. But the day one of them falls and breaks a bone or heaven forbid has a heart attack, they will be happy for FMCA and Seven Corners. Herman
  13. Carl, Larry Huff has his amplifier mounted on his over the air antenna. I don't know how he routed it but it goes up with his OTA antenna. You might ask him. Herman
  14. How does Airplane made help? Do you set your phone or MiFi on it. I have never used Airplane mode before. Here it about 65 and sunny with a 15 to 20 mph wind. Washing the coach now. Got the sunny side done before it got to drying to fast. Now on to the shadyside. And I am doing it all without a mask on.🤪 Herman
  15. "EASY ACCESS". With an RV that is a oxymoron. Herman
  16. Linda, there are flag stands that you roll one wheel on. Might work for your booster. I have seen them at CW but I am sure others have them. One thing you'll don't need is a ladder that so the old cogger can get on top of the coach, pardon me, that the young cogger. I keep forgetting he is younger than me. 😉 Herman
  17. I have noticed a lot of the answers to different Topics and posting are getting a little testy. More so as we have gotten further into this "Shelter in Place". Here on the Forum we are all folks that like to get out and travel. We love to see new places, visit places we have been before, visit old friends and to make new friends. So as we sit in front of our computers or on our Smartphones lets all take a moment to relax, take another sip on the drink of your choice and think about how to respond to a topic and in a nice way, not in a condescending way that is sure to make the other person mad. Remember the Forum is here for those needing help with their RVs and for those with knowledge to help. There have been several thousand good questions asked and answered here. So let's get along and keep helping others. Herman
  18. Google "Samsung", they should have repair location on their websites. Herman
  19. Srous, not trying to be a smart aleck, but do you have power on both sides of the fuse. I have seen spade fuses that looked good but tested bad. Also by some chance does the fuse power a relay that powers the panel? Please let us know what you find. Herman
  20. Astro001, Sorry hear that you may be dropping your membership. That is something only you can decide. I hate to see any member dropping their membership but remember your number is yours and will be ready if you decide to stay or rejoin at sometime in the future. Good Luck and Happy & Safe Travels. Herman
  21. Dennis, not to my knowledge but that is a question that Dan Ball will need to answer. Dan monitors the Forum and should chime in on your question. Herman
  22. Which one do you like? Coke, Dr Pepper, sorry but your question is very subjective. You haven't said what size unit you have, gas or diesel pusher, capacity. That would answer alot of questions. I have very good results towing 4x4 Chevy pickups. Herman
  23. That's right Bill you now have eight TIRES not six on you rig. Congrats again. Herman
  24. In 1955 a toll road was built between Dallas and Fort Worth. 22 years later the debt was paid off and it became a free road. Somewhere in that time frame it became I-30. I-30 begins in North Little Rock, Arkansas (at I-40) and ends just west of Fort Worth where it merges with I-20. What showed in 1955 as several cities in between Dallas and Fort Worth is now one huge mass of business' and homes. You can't see where one city ends and another begins. In early 1956 I was going to Arlington State Junior College, now the University of Texas at Arlington. We drove in the country most of the way in a 1940 For Coupe. Man I wish it was still around. Now you have a bit of DFW trivia. Herman
