  1. Ray, you need to read between the lines and words. Let's say $10 worth of fuel today is not going to get you as far as $10 worth of fuel yesteryear! Send you to school, buy you books, and what do you do. Rip the binding off and smell the glue! Sheesh!
  2. 10 dollars is not going to go very far right now.
  3. I did receive a reply from FMCA basically stating that the savings were from the old prices, like a single year being $75 back then. They probably need to look at the wording. I personally found it confusing. But hey! $50 is still a good deal.
  4. So, I renewed my FMCA Membership for 1 year. However, the information I received in letter form says: PAY THIS AMOUNT 1 year - $50 SAVE $25 2 year - $100 SAVE $45 3 year - $150 BEST DEAL SAVE $55 What am I missing here. I would have signed up for 3 years but I just don't follow the math!
  5. I found it but somewhere else. Not many 2022 TOADS listed.
  6. What happened to the FMCA page for TOAD vehicles? Am I missing something?
  7. Why do you turn the house disconnect switch off? It is my understanding on WB's that both switches need to be on to keep the batteries charged. Once the house batteries are full the trickle charger will switch to the chassis batteries. Not a real answer to your particular problem, but, have you called Winnebago?
  8. Thank you for you taxes that are supporting my retirement.🌈
  9. Many moons ago my FIL retired. He had a routine. Work Mon-Fri, cut the grass and go fishing on the weekends, OR, we would ask him if he wanted to go to the mall on a weekend day. After he ritired, DW would call him and ask if he wanted to go to the mall. We were still working at the time. He said he couldn't because he had to cut the grass. This happened a couple weekends in a row and finally we asked him to go to the mall and he responded the same way. When asked what he did Mon-Fri he replied that he piddled in his backyard shop. DW went ballistic and told him to cut the grass Mon or any day through Fri and leave the weekends open for us. It worked. I retired twice. Once from the USMC and once from NASA. I was asked several months later (on both) if I missed it. No, I didn't miss the work but I missed the camaraderie. After the second retirement we purchased a 5th wheel, then a MH. Neither were our first experiences with 'camping.' Now we have the camaraderie of other RV'ers. DW was going to work at NASA until in her 70's but she was hospitalized once while working, and I had a MC accident. She retired 6 months after I did. We never look back, just to the future. You don't need a plan, you just need to get out there and enjoy the rest of your lives. I'm 80 years old and still living "the dream." Go for it!
  10. Personally I think it is a good thing to have a separate class license for the larger vehicle. In my state you have to take the written test and the driving test for anything over 26,001 pounds. Having had a CDL Class A, and now a Standard Class A I can say that there is a lot to be learned from studying and taking the test. It's not a car, it's a big vehicle and there are many differences in different situations. I would suggest that in those states that a special license is not required that a driver of a big vehicle read the test section for the larger vehicle for at least educational information.
  11. Some may disagree with you that it is something besides gibberish that you are full of. Oh, we do have to meet some day, eh?
  12. According to the manual, which is on line, the Hybrid can be towed four down.
  13. I do not use a mobile device to access the forum, I use a desktop computer or a laptop computer. On many forums If I post back-to-back it will be merged. Just sayin", don't know if it is supposed to work like that or not.
  14. I had that happen climbing into Montana. Called the nearest Cummins dealer and they said come on in. They put there computer on the system and said it was one hit of the EGR. They said it was due to the change of altitude. Cleared it and it was a year later I had to have the EGR replaced. Hope all goes well.
  15. Once you find the city/town they live in, look them up using True People Search
  16. Richard, with the lower maintenance costs you can take your friends to more expensive restaurants. Happy trails!
  17. A dark caulk to blend in with the latch maybe. It will also waterproof it,
  18. One of the things I saw recently was that if you have an accident collect all the parts that you can. The body shop may have a better chance at repair versus replacement.
  19. Have you checked the manual on the Ford web site to see if it is towable 4 down and what steps will be needed to tow it?
  20. They don't weigh it. If it is over a 10 pound bottle it is restricted, even if you say it is empty. Take the bridge.
  21. DB, propane is limited to 10 pounds per bottle. Anything over 10 pounds is not allowed through the tunnel. I'd wager your propane tank is over 10 pounds of propane.
  22. Joe, I-77, is that "Fancy Gap" Climb? I read where it is 6 miles at 4.5 to 5% grade. Long climb.
