  1. Well grand-kids are always welcome. Was at Del Mar Beach, CA. Granddaughters wanted to spend the night with friends on the beach. Sure, your mom and friends can stay in the MH...we are staying in Mom and Dad's house. DIL (Mom) and 7 girls stayed in the MH. There are exceptions, but I'm not going to be included. 🙂
  2. Sounds like you should use the RV and head South to warmer climes for the Winter. I grew up in central Mass and left when I was 19. However, living there was an accident of birth!
  3. I"d like some documented proof also. We always throw the breaker for the refrigerator. Been doing that for years and we have never had a problem. (I'm knocking on wood right now.) Everything else is left with whatever power it requires.
  4. Ray, I don't know of dish providing an up-llink using only a receiver. There has to be a transmitter and most will only have a cell phone. that leaves a question of "blind" spots. Also, setting up the RV has to have access to an open path to the transponder. WIth this statement from their web page, "Without a physical SIM card, the Journey1 will prioritize to the best available cellular network, find service, and optimize. When the user moves locations, the hotspot finds new service and optimizes their connection again." Means that a hotspot has to be used. It is going to be very dependent on the locations of the hotspots as to the availability of a link. I'd definitely pass on this one until proven to work to satisfaction. The plans are still expensive. I'll stick to my AT&t unlimited hotspot. Heck of a lot less of $$.
  5. Sorry for the late reply. We are 40 miles or so South of Houston. I'll buy the first glass of water when you come down. Diet water is on you.
  6. I'd like to have a little more detail on just what is happening, if you can.
  7. Bob and Paula, So nice to meet you. Any friend of D & L are a friend to us. I always say the FMCA paid for the return of their RV, and it's true. Had you not been available they would have found some driver but having you do it with the pups and all was a God send. Thanks, and if you are every down around the Galveston, TX area, be sure to PM or Email me. p.s., Thelma and Louise say woof! Say hi to the Dr and Mr's Dr. Don't forget to sit down for a session with her. See, I do know D & L
  8. Wow! I must have a minivan at 42' 11"
  9. OHHH! I've seen videos of the mules going down that canyon on 6 inch ledge or about. No way would I do that, but the South Rim was extremely interesting.
  10. I have been released from PT by the Doctor. Range of motion is good. Still going to work on strengthening. Thanks Ray.
  11. DB, as the saying goes; The motorhome is equipped with drinks for 6, dinner for 4, and sleeps 2. Need I say more?
  12. Cold line doesn't always work for me so I prefer to cycle it and excercise the heat exchangers while doing it. Also, by turning on the heat inside the coach you are exercising the two pumps for circulating the hot fluid.
  13. In the past I used quality dryer sheets. Wet the area, wipe with dryer sheet and immediately wash and rinse. Now-a-days i spray it with Awsome or Simple Green, let it sit (water is your friend) the wash it off. Some of the bugs need to be scrubbed a little but do not put much pressure when doing it or you will tear the protective screen, if there is one, or scratch the paint. If stubbor, repeat the process of soaking them again repeating the process. For the back, yep it sure does get dirty, I use Wash-Wax-All with microfiber clothes to get any area I can reach. Wipe on, wipe off. For the upper portion of the back I use the Wash-Wax-All extensionrod with there microfiber fitted cloth.
  14. Been to Disney Land back in the 60's. Made Disney world a few years ago in June...Don't go in June if you don't like hot weather. (Or July, August, or September)
  15. I'm not sure if the complete cycle needs to be performed to check the fluid. It doesn't take that long for it to cycle. Well, especially down here on the Gulf Coast.
  16. The guru I use is Rudy Legett. He's here in the Houston area and he is one of the teachers for the AQ system. I can guarantee you that he knows what he is talking about. So who's right. I guess it's who you might listen to. Search on either name and you will get lots of information. I had to go looking. Found this which indicates a full cycle for monthly maintenance. Monthly: It is extremely important to check the Aqua-Hot’s antifreeze and water heating solution to ensure it is at the proper level for operation. This task can be done by visibly checking the coolant level in the Aqua-Hot’s expansion tank. At maximum operating temperature, the antifreeze and water heating solution should be at the level marked “HOT” on the expansion tank. The coolant level should be checked ONLY when the Aqua-Hot is at maximum operating temperature. Therefore, this procedure should be done immediately after the diesel-burner cycles OFF."
  17. Carl, it was just as cold here, well maybe not temperature wise but still below freezing. It's 10:30 p.m. and 39˚ right now. Five, I don't have any W2's so I can get all my 1099-R's and INT on-line and print them.
  18. Yep, me also. They could stop that publicity stunt as far as I'm concerned. Who would believe it anyway. 🙂
  19. That's what you get for having to much money...tax preparations by others. I just use plain old Turbo-Tax.🤡
  20. Speaking of Groundhog, he saw his shadow yesterday.
  21. Carl, holler for coffee. You know how close I'll be.
  22. We also turn on electric when getting to the campground and burner when needed. Typically when we get up for showers having continuous hot water, then back to electric. Haven't been in VERY cold area yet. Try to avoid cold areas and hot areas. Not successful avoiding hot areas - seems to follow us. but the 3 AC's keep us comfortable. p.s., AH should be run for one cycle every 6 weeks to keep the nozzle clean. Good thing to exercise the pumps and heat exchangers by setting the thermostate to an operating temperature.
