  1. Isaaac, I think you have some good ideas. We do need more advocacy for us the traveling public. Some places get it and some need a little help and some need lots of help. I think having a "blueprint" would be good especially in areas like Fort Worth Dallas area that is growing so fast. If the planners had an idea they could incorporate that in the plans not try to add it later when there is no room and it would cost more. Bill
  2. It's not that far only about 265 miles. Or about the distance between Washington DC and Bridgeport Connecticut. When I go down to Pharr Texas it is a little longer 508 miles. Bill
  3. Not only cold beer but frozen ice cream and all the ice cubes you can use. Bill
  4. I didn't want to put him, down in Florida. obedb, That was an expensive lesson but I might have got learned something from dat. For close range I like my Marlin guide gun in 45-70. Bill
  5. I talked to them at Chandler and they wanted much more than that to replace 3 toppers. The RVGeeks love them (Tough Top) But I was looking for anyone else who has done business with them. I am just looking for the fabric as I will change them myself, well with a little help. Good to know how tight to wind the spring as one topper disappeared in the wind when we were caught in the blizzard in Amarillo The first of May. Bill
  6. This is a dry graphite film and will not attract dirt. That is why I use it on the towbar. Bill
  7. You might want to give them a write up on this web site. http://www.rvservicereviews.com/StateList.asp?state=TX Bill
  8. Come on down to Texas. You can use your favorite toy to put some pork on the grill. Bill
  9. Looking for any feedback on Tough Top Awning people? I need to replace my slide toppers. one is gone and the outher 2 are going. Bill
  10. I wonder if using a dry film lube would work. I use one I buy at the local John Deere dealer. It is the best dry film graphite colloid I have found. I use it on the pins in the tow bar to reduce wear. https://www.amazon.com/John-Deere-Equipment-Lubricant-TY25797/dp/B00BR24IEO Bill
  11. Just like I said, every unit is different. Read and follow the instructions in the owner's manual. Back to the OPs problem. He has low batteries so/as he hasn't told us if he has shore power. the easiest way to charge the batteries is to start the generator. If he has low voltage he may need to start his main engine to be able to start the generator even using the battery switch. Bill
  12. I have looked at upgrading and I see enough burned coaches to make changing the refrigerator a top priority / must have. I see more coaches with a residential refrigerator as original equipment. Bill
  13. That was my assumption but till It is confirmed it is a SWAG. Bill
  14. I hope the OP gets back to us. My thought, as you know Carl all these coaches are set up differently. If he has low batteries geting the generator running should i, charge the batteries and 2, provide 12v Power for the slide. I am supposed to have the engine running to operate the slides. Some you can't run the main engine. Bill
  15. Please add your motorhome to your signature as without knowing what you have I can't give good advice. Moving the mounting points only works on the F-53 that has the 2 different points. Inspect your bushings and if worn replace with polypropylene ones as they are firmer. Bill
  16. Kind of telling isn't it. Glad I went to residential. Bill
  17. Good luck and safe travels. If you put your coach and outher info in your signature it will help you to get better answers later. Where are you and where are you headed? Bill
  18. Do you have shore power where you are? Have you tried to start generator by holding the battery connect switch down. Can you start the main engine and run the slide or start generator? Bill
  19. One thing to check is to make sure the filters are clean. If they are dirty they will create a low pressure and the water can't go out the drain. You end up with water dripping inside. Also make sure you have the fan on hi. Bill
  20. The new place doesn't have a drive through beer window. I looked on Google Earth and didn't see one porta potty. You are right Carl, that place is spendy! More like a north east campground, and all back in. Bill
  21. I would keep looking. I would look at your current AC and see what BTU it is. Some coaches came with smaller BTU AC units. I think the biggest roof air is a 15,000 BTU unit. Bill
