  1. What are you measuring Boost on? You said you aren't experiencing any heavy smoke right? I think you may have a FUEL problem as your main issue. You may have some kind of boost problem but if it was just boost you would be rolling coal as the kids say. Let us know what you find out. Bill
  2. I would use http://www.rvparky.com/ Then use http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ To see what outher people think. Bill
  3. The best dry film (graphite) lube I have found is By John Deere. You can get it on Amazon or at your local John Deere store. John Deere Original Equipment Lubricant Spray #TY25797 Bill
  4. No that is exactly my point. The local clubs and chapters ar not doing a good job of selling FMCA. I don't know what happened to my post as I had rlbarkley name in there to. Pesky ruskies are hacking my post again. Joe and Keon are doing it right. All big things start with the first step. Bob, Keep an eye on the website and if there is a rally and you are in the area you are welcome to attend if just to visit. Bill
  5. Yes most take about 2.5 minutes to transfer power. Also if you have a power interruption this allows the "head preshure" on the ac compressors to bleed down so they arn't damaged on restart.
  6. rmatteucci, jleamont, I am extending official invitations to you to join the Red River Rovers. http://www.redriverrovers.com/ Bill
  7. I am doing good. Sometimes a misspelled word gets more attention than not. Elkhartjim, Can you please point out what you find misspelled in that post? By the way I blame it on the web site. Last week I could see my signature and the signatures of others now I can't. Bill
  8. Welcome to the forum. Yes that it is how a built in surge guard workers or a portable one. The fact that you have no delay when using generator power showes me it isn't your transfer switch. Bill
  9. I wish I could go just to attend that forum so I could learn how to navigate and participate in the Forum. I think it is a good idea. I also think the FMCA management should do a better job promoting the forum. Many never heard of the forum or how it can be used. Bill
  10. I would recommend taking all your cables loose (one at a time is best) cleaning and inspecting them for damage from corrosion. I would use a good dielectric grease when installing to prevent corrosion. Bill
  11. Just a comment on what Joe posted "The tail would wonder or wag if you rocked the steering wheel before." I have found this to be a problem when running different tires on the front than the rear. The difference in how the tires respond to input from road irregularities and steering input can be fairly dramatic. As I am sure Tireman9 can attest to. Bill
  12. I bought the RV Trailer Camper Cleaners 303 Aerospace Protectant because it was the one I saw at PPL. I didn't buy it there because they wanted $32.00. I think Amazon was about $18.00 for the same. Yes Let's hear what DD has to say. Bill
  13. Well since you got it out you have have the battle won. Look at the tags. Try a Google search. You can probbabley find one cheaper. Bill
  14. Ain't that the truth. My battery switches are in the overhead on the passenger side. Bill
  15. I have a Medicare Advantage Plan that requires a referral if out of my network except for emergency care. Never a problem. Bill
  16. I think it would be wise if you did a little research about all the people who have bought insurance/warranties and did not get satisfactory results when they had a problem. Little things add up, not paying the going rate for labor, parts, any shipping to get the parts to you, large deductibles just as a starter. Why would you need a add on warranty if you are buying new? Bill
  17. I bought some on Amazon. RV Trailer Camper Cleaners 303 Aerospace Protectant 16 Oz. They also have a cheaper one for vinyl and I don't know if it will work as well. 303 UV Protectant for vinyl, rubber, plastic, tires and finished leather, 16 fl. oz. Bill
  18. bamabob, Do a search as there have been several threads about warranties. Most will recommend taking what they are going to charge you and putting it in a savings account. I have had about $500. in payouts for things they cover (microwave) compared to the $4000. they wanted to charge me I think I am ahead. I do recommend you get a Roadside assistance plan, Coach Net or the FMCA plan. This will help in case of towing and breakdowns or flat tire. They will pay for the tow or to have someone come out but not the work. Bill
  19. I plan on going with Continental when I replace my tires. They are excellent tires. They also look to be cheaper using the new program. I have been lobbying Continental to expand their offering to be more competitive with Michelin and I need tires for my truck. Bill
  20. There are lots of systems that don't use the air from the coach. I am still using my old Brake Buddy. I don't know of one that works like trailer brakes. Bill
  21. Welcome to the forum. I would use a funnel and just trickle it in. Bill
  22. The same with I-30 between Dallas and Little Rock. The permanent construction zone TZSTRANGE, welcome to the forum. I think it is funny that they put up signage to tell you that the road is rough. How about just fixing the road. Bill
  23. The same with I-30 between Dallas and Little Rock. Bill
