I am working on another good aid in getting out over the window sill. I have a piece of 6" pvc pipe and am going to cut it so it will fit over the window sill. This will give a smooth surface to slide over rather than the window sill. I am trying to come up with a prop to hold the window open. I will post pictures when I get it done. OP you need to go find your exits NOW and make sure you can open them. When your back side is getting hot is not when you want to try opening to open the escape window for the first time. Bill

Have you looked at Continental HSL2 tires they are Continental's low rolling resistance fuel saving tire. I am planning on looking at them closely when I need to change tires. I have heard good reports from members. I will be interested to see what the Tireman has to say. I don't think you would be able to tell the difference. Bill

Extended Waranty on Last Coach: Your Thoughts
wildebill308 replied to F432216's topic in Extended Service Policies
I would put the money in a savings account. You have a new coach with a warranty. I think it depends on how able you are to do your own maintenance and repairs. Bill -
I would look for one of the newer high definition TV's They have 4 times the clarity of the older digital units and for nearly the same price. Bill

I have given up on stand alone GPS units. I have CO PILOT on my phone and on my tablet. You can download the maps when on WIFI so you don't use a lot of data. I also double check with paper maps. I have been quite happy and I have a bigger screen on my tablet then you can get with the stand alone units. I could run it on my 17 in laptop but I think it would be to cumbersome. Bill

One way to solve the problem. Congrats on the new coach. Bill

Best Holding Tank Chemicals
wildebill308 replied to DALEDEVON@GMAIL.COM's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
I don't use chemicals and I don't use any special paper. Never had a problem. If the valve in the bottom of the toilet won't hold water it is letting fumes/oder from the tank to enter the coach. Bill -

We did a Thousand Trails / NACO membership last year. I would have to get a really amazing deal to get me to think about doing it again. There are a lot of rules they don't talk about up front. How long you can stay in any one camp ground, up charges for 50 amp power, availability of spaces. They tend to be a ways off the beaten path most are older small narrow hard to get into spaces. In most of the ones we stayed in they didn't know what spaces were open so you had to go find a spot then go tell them where you were. I use FMCA and Good Sam's discount. Passport America membership will probably pay for itself in one use. I really can't recommend Thousand Trails. Bill

Cherry Hill is the best. They have buses that come into the park to take you to the metro station as well as tour busses. The lady who sells the tours also will teach you how to get around on the metro system, what exits for what monument or building you want to go to. I was able to go all the way to Arling ton on the metro line. I have stayed there twice and will stay there again. The last time was in May. Bill

What year is your coach? Do they eventually come up? I would try cycling the jacks several times and see if that helps. There are people who have added extra springs to help with retraction. Bill

What difference does it make? You are going to buy from who ever is there. Bill

SC To New England Next Summer
wildebill308 replied to Parkerboy's question in Destinations/Attractions
I had no problems in any trips in New England area. I always check RV Park reviews: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ I have found many interesting places to stay. Wilde Duck campground in Scarborough MA. was on a road settled in 1630. I was also in the most Eastern campground in the US in Eastport MA. If you don't do your due diligence you have no one to blame their are two many tools out there now. Bill- 34 replies

You can ride the shuttles that circulate around in the park at the Canyon for free. They will take you along the rim west to see other look outs and features. Bill

SC To New England Next Summer
wildebill308 replied to Parkerboy's question in Destinations/Attractions
I think it was about 1:30-2:00. I was lucky as there was traffic going south backed up for 15 miles. That is why I recommend the Tappan and it is cheaper, GW was $76.00 before I got my EZ Pass. Bill- 34 replies

Welcome to the forum. I would take it out and see if there is a part number you can't see now. I would take it to any big parts store and see if they can match it.

Full-time Comfort &Travel With "Parkable Size"
wildebill308 replied to barkerkd87's topic in Buying an RV
Welcome to the forum. Why? I have never had a place I couldn't get my 38' coach and I don't think another 2 feet would have ben a problem. I would think the extra room and storage would be better in a 40' coach than a 36' or shorter. Bill- 3 replies
