  1. Bill, Welcome to the forum. You have a good looking coach and should have many miles of fun.
  2. Rich, The top sides of my coach are also peeling. It is the clear coat peeling and the sun here in AZ is very tough. I got a quote to repair the clear coat of $2000. They will have to at least 2/3rds of the top sides on both sides of the coach. This seems very expensive considering what has to be done. Can you tell my how you would go about repairing the clear coat?
  3. Herman, The seals (doors) were done under warranty. I understand from Lazy Days that the cost from Norcold for two doors was about $1100. Seems rather expensive to me.
  4. I purchased a Corner Stone United extended warranty through Lazy Days when I bought my coach. I have a warranty claim due to a seal leak in the front leveling cylinder. The rod was scored so the whole cylinder had to be replaced. Why not just replace the rod is beyond me. Corner Stone is replacing the cylinder minus my $500 deductible and I have to pay the inbound freight, but considering what a new cylinder would cost I am happy. Just an FYI...
  5. I had the same problem with my 2008 H/R Ambassador. It has a Norcold four door fridge and I had to replace the two bottom doors just to have seals that worked. Go figure....
  6. I had a squeaking noise in my engine compartment. It was a belt tensioner pulley bearing. Just an FYI...
  7. We were in St George, UT first week in December 2013. Experienced 8" of snow and 0 degrees F in the AM. Coach was warm but we went through a lot of propane!! Since returning to Arizona the temps have been in the 70's.
  8. We purchased a Cornerstone extended warranty from Lazy Days last May when we purchased our rig. Had a slide issue which was cosmetic and not covered. Now I have a blown rod seal in my front leveling cylinder. Will wait to see if it is covered. I did check out Good Sam and they were about $400 per year more than the Cornerstone policy with a $500 deductible.
  9. Thanks guys. I saw the zerk fitting and notified the dealer about it for the rear cylinders as well as the front. I guess there is a grease gun in my future. I did question Lazy Days whether or not they greased the cylinders before I purchased the rig. If not they may have some liability in this mess.
  10. Set-up to camp at Picacho Paek RV park in AZ on Monday. Unit would not level. I have a Power Gear leveling system with three cylinders. On inspecting the cylinders I found oil coming out of the front leveling cylinder. Blown rod seal. Since I could not build pressure on the rod side the cylinder would not retract. Had to crawl under the coach, remove three cylinder attachment bolts, loosen the fourth and move the cylinder horizontal to wire it up to the sub frame. This was the only way we could get the motorhome to a dealer to fix the problem. The two rear cylinders seem to be OK at this time. Should I consider a rod seal replacement in these also? Has anyone else had the same problem I just experienced. Looking for feedback.
  11. Thanks Brett, My unit is located in a slide with vents top and bottom. You are saying the fan should be at the top vent exhausting out?
  12. motorcyclist, I have a diesel pusher and love it. Plenty of storage in the basement and very stable on the road. One thing to consider is resale, there are a lot more DP's out there which tells you something. A super C does have a much more limited demand vs a DP.
  13. I average 8.5 mpg in my motorhome towing a 2013 CRV. I use cruise control most of the time and set it around 57 mph.
  14. kgorP, There is another post discussing RV-Armor.com. Looks like the cost is $100 per foot and it is installed by factory personnel if no dealer is close. They advertise the product is guaranteed for the life of the unit. Might be good to check out.
  15. I have two problems with the macerator that came with our coach. First is the time it takes to empty both tanks, especially when you use the sprayer in the black tank. Second is you never really quite empty the tank. There is always some residue in the tank as well as the 3" feeder line going to the macerator. I just don't like to have grey water sitting in the line.
  16. Bill Adams, I have DirecTV at home. I understand you can bring your home box to your motorhome and hook it up to your dome and receive all but your local stations when you are out of your area. True....not true?????
  17. Thanks Lee. Lazy Days is our dealer also. Do not need your service yet but probably sooner rather than later.
  18. desertdeals69, Can you tell me more about a power off switch? I have a battery disconnect switch but that would shut down everything in the RV.
  19. Thanks Rich. You have given me some good ideas. Just wondering what other remedies might be out there. Have a great day.
  20. We travel with a 30-pound Australian shepherd. As most dogs do, ours likes to sit in the driver's or passenger's seat when the coach is parked. There have been times when we have returned to the coach and found the sun screens in various positions. Obviously, she has stepped on one or more switches. Do any of you have suggestions on making covers for the switches on the driver's and passenger's side of the coach?
  21. Lee, The original writer mentioned that your company would come to PA to install the replacement roof. My question is are there dealers that would install the roof in the buyer's local area, or is a big part of the price travel expenses for your personnel? I live in the Tucson, AZ area and you know what sun does to motorhomes. You can see our unit description below.
  22. Herman, Thank you for the information. The coach is in for repair and I will have the dealer check the release solenoid for obstructions. Have a great day!!
  23. Brett, Thank you for the heads up. I have heard air exhausting on the roadside front wheel after I leveled and exited the coach. I had previously activated and held the air dump valve before leveling and just thought air was still exhausting. It is very possible that the front air dump valve gets stuck. What is the procedure to fix this?
  24. Lazy Days told me that the aux tank came as a kit when they ordered the Blue Ox Air Force One system. So far the coach has been outside their shop for 10 days without leaning. Don't know what to say just have to figure out is I did something to cause it to lean.
  25. I would like to know more about these bottom fans. Are they permanently mounted behind the access panel? Only run them when the temp is above what degrees? I have had the mother board replaced on my Norcold 1200 and the mod replaced twice.
