NO Spare Tire In Smaller Class Cs These Days?
manholt replied to aufgeblassen's topic in Type C Motorhomes
Ian, I don't think he has one! I traveled all over the US without a toad or scooter, for 14 years...but then, that was in the late 1960's & 70's! Today, no matter the size or class of rig, I will not travel without a secondary mode of transportation! -
LMAO...You got point.

IMHO and 51 years of RV ownership, that happens all the time, across the board...cars, boats, trailers, 5'ers and coaches! Brand name has nothing to do wit it ! A lemon, is a lemon!!!

NO Spare Tire In Smaller Class Cs These Days?

Well, I can see where your stuff can learn to walk real quick! -
Well, yes and no. No matter who the provider is, your still at the mercy of several people & luck. Depending on weekday, weekend, holiday, time of day, location, I have had an hour to 12! I would ask for the tow fee back and consider my self lucky!

Welcome. As Brett wrote and you need to do the basic in any event, before the installation of the Safe-T-Plus...have used that system many times on gas rigs, it works.

Tim, you might want to send him a PM (Personal Message). Click on Avatar, click on Message!

Routes to Newfoundland, Canada
manholt replied to RichieRich101's question in Destinations/Attractions
The Ferry's are not cheap! Our trip this summer, $3,000 is for Ferries. -
We leave for the Maritime Provinces in June, 61 days with Fantasy Tours, $12,000. Expensive ? Yes, but at 76 and 70,, we feel it's worth it. As for Alaska, I have been there 2 times and so has my fiance...much younger and "Bullet Proof"! Fantasy Tours, Alaska. Start Dawson Creek, end Tok, AK.=$6,300 for 36 days, Dawson Creek to Prince George=$ 9,400 for 48 days, Coeur D' Alene to Anacortes=$ 11,300 for 60 days, Coeur D' Alene to Prince George=$ 11,700 for 61 days, Anacortes to Stewart=$ 8,000 for 62 days! I personally, would do the Dawson Creek to Tok...All the rest your paying to see Canada mostly, by finishing in Tok, you can stay in Alaska as long as you desire! As DD69 said, carry a spare, along with serpentine. I also carry a extra sensor for coolant, oil, transmission oil and turbo speed...I have Silver Leaf, those sensors go out about every 2 years, their avg cost is $35...Remember, most everything comes from lower 48! Good Luck!

Tim. Any pre-2006, Monaco, HR, CC, Beaver, Foretravel, Travel Supreme, Alpine and Safari can be had for under $150K ! They where all top of the line, before the big bang! Fleetwood had some good models also! As you said, remodel is easy and reasonable, Residential Fridge can be added in place of NoCold and front loading WD also! Mine is front loading and hold 23# each...a tad more than Joe's Jeans (his was size 60, now 33?)! Joe can tell you what make & model engines to stay away from!

Mine is stacked & I do bedding in one load...have not spent a quarter on Laundry in 8 years!
-
Legacy Coach, Coach Finder, Bus-Stuff, RV Trader, are some others. Newmar is a good brand. But not knowing what the Sales price of the 2013 is...NADA is a good source for whole sale/retail value!

Even with wind chill, no world record was set. That still belongs to Siberia, a permanent settlement there, hit -94 F in 1924 and the average winter temp is -58 F !!! Gets into the +80/90's in summer!

Welcome to FMCA and the Forum! Have seen a few of your set up, but not often..quite a Rig! 2 questions..what's up on the roof of your MC garage and how long is the truck/5'er combined?
-
I thought you would be on a Sand Bar for winter! How's your Dad?
-
22.5 x 7.5 ! Good luck with that. I also wonder what the DOT# is on his current tires?
-
Norway? Yes. Grow up? No! Why would you? Brett, hope your warmer than we are!
-
Good, thanks...now you can keep camping, with peace of mind.
-
Herman, Stud Pilot is tapered holes and tapered lugs.
-
Only thing I have been able to find in ref to 7.5 is a 19.5, not a 22.5...still looking.
-
Confused, are you saying that you engine will not fire up after visit with CAT ?
-
Bill, was that the leather wrapped, wood shoe, with long tails...never got very far in them. Easier to use skies!

So, maybe he has a 1980's coach! This is not a good forum to say you are one thing and not. I will give him the benefit of a old coach!

bigburgy. Welcome! Since we have not heard back from OP, we can only presume that he got it fixed. You might want to call Tiffin in Red Bay & speak to a Tech!
