  1. Went out there with friends in March 2013. I-10 from Houston, TX to Buckeye, AZ. From Van Horn, TX. to Deming, NM. It was one big Dust Storm! Next day from Deming to Benson, AZ. it was, Snow, Sleet and Rain, white out conditions on several occasions. Benson to Buckeye, blue sky & warm weather for the next 2 weeks! In March 2014, we had the same as above all the way to "Rocky Point, Mexico"! In March 2016, same as above! On all 3 trips, we left the first week of March...had no problems coming back home in early April.
  2. That's a nice coach...been looking at a few, also the 630. At 98K, it's barley broke in! I was getting 6.4 on mine at 82k, took it in to Cummings and they put the computer on it, found that the sift points on the Allison was off...now, I'm getting 6.8 to 7.2 mpg and it's easier to climb long grades! You could do the same...I would take it to Allison!
  3. Yep! Leave the liquor or drink it, before crossing. I think we will be coming back thru Calais, our staging is in Montreal, Canada! Still trying to find the best way to cross into Canada. Been in Montreal once in 1996, for a LCIF International Convention & I crossed after Watertown, NY. Is there a better way?
  4. bigpapaporshe. My bad. Brain fart, I did not click to your coach & if I had a Class B, I would be caring a spare! When I had Class A gas coaches, they where between 22' to 33', 16" to 19.5" tires and came with a mounted spare tire, in a case built in at the rear of coach (1967-1996)! Pre Radial/steel belted tires, I would have a flat about every trip. I have wrapped Duck tape around a leak and limped into a garage, more than once! The last 23 years, they have all been 22.5" and I do not have the tools or ability to change my tire! Also, in the past 23 years, I have had no tire problem...Lucky me! 3 DP's. I average 14,000 miles a year & no, I'm not full time!
  5. Ray. We have a WiFi antenna, 16' pole that separate into 2, 8' sections for travel. When in use, we use 3 bungee cords wrapped around the rear ladder. Holds pole in place and wind has not been an issue! Unless you plan on keeping the coach until you die or it dies, permanent brackets may not be what the next owner wants! Just a thought.
  6. Bill, give it time...only been 26 hours.
  7. Woerner Cafe, is the only place left that we have found, that's not Kalifornia fru, fru food. They used to have a large October Fest, now it's the October Wine Festival. If your into California Wine, you'll find most of the Napa Valley Winyards represented, their building multi million dollar plants, between Fredericksburg and Johnson City! Property prices are thru the roof. 5 years ago, a 10 acre tract, cost $12,000 an acre...now, expect to pay $50,000+++ and that's on any size acreage up to 320, if you can find it. A friend from that area, started a swimming pool company in Houston and moved it to the family ranch, 3 years ago...he called me last week, no he is not selling, told me a Realtor from California came to him and said, there was a Winery, that wanted his 400 acres. They offered $50 million! He said NO, NOT FOR SALE...they came back with a $75 million offer.
  8. Drilling a hole and using Molly bolts is an option, if there is no other structural layer behind. Before any type of fastener is used thru the fiberglass, be mindful of water plumbing and electric lines! IMHO, I would call the Manufacturer and talk with a Tech!
  9. Skyline Ranch in Bandera and Lady Bird RV Park in Fredericksburg.
  10. DBenoit, send Eric a PM. He might give it to you...I would, but not on the open Forum...just MHO.
  11. We where in the area in March of 2016 for FMCA Rally. Camp Verde Casino RV Resort is real nice, but we had snow and Sedona had a lot of it...Grand Canyon was open, but too much snow for the train! March is a roll of the dice!
  12. I never had any problems with my 2500 in a 2007 Silverado, 4 x 4, caring 107 gal of diesel. Sold it at 57,600+/- miles! One of my close friends, bought the same truck, with the same set up. Still got it, over 200,000 miles now and no problem with the 2500...he also hauls a 4 horse trailer!
  13. Having been there, I can relate. You have made so many changes to the landscaping, my memory is lost...great job! If you need some Palm Trees, we got some pup's, you can have as a house present. They are Windmill Palms!
  14. Todd. Welcome to the Forum! What length/model is your CC?
  15. Alamo KOA Resort, as close as I can think off to Downtown & River Walk! Linda used it before she met me, say's it's easy in/out and a great park!
  16. Mike. You have a very nice coach that has/is serving your current (Limited time) well. It will continue to do so, until your retirement. I would wait and see, but there's nothing that say's you can't look in the meantime. Compile list of want's, in a new/newer coach, type of chassis and engine. I have heard bad/good about the FR Charleston. FR is now a Hathaway Company, owned by Warren Buffet...Quantity in sales make money, big, high cost, DP's don't. Just my opinion!
  17. His Legacy, is still alive & well. If it can go wrong, it will. ☃️
  18. Kerrville, Try TTT RV Park or Buckhorn RV Resort (it's the best)! Miller Creek in Johnson City is also a good one (that's where you'll find Elkheart Jim)!
  19. I just looked it up! Call KOA...nothing but a Sand Bar!
  20. Roland, San Antonio is a large, sprawling, in area, city! When ever we want to spend 3 or more days there, we go by car & stay in a Hotel, by the River Walk! Wayne stay's in Military Fam Camps in his coach! If you want to go to Bandera, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Johnson City, Marble Falls, Burnet or Lampasses...I can help you! Just need to know, what you want. Did you check out Rancho Viejo?
  21. The data, is not on your DL, just in the data base of the State, DMV. On the DL is a symbol that verifies that your legal, in TX it's the gold 5 point star, about a 5/16" !
  22. That's where I had mine, I took it out, the day before the robbery & vandalism! It was cheaper than Blue Wave Storage on Hwy 6. But there I had a 50' x 20' garage with 30A.
