What's with all the running? I take it that work keeps you from roaming further out into our great, big, beautiful country!?

09' Foretravel...to much $$$. I looked at it, 7 days ago...2 hr. R/T from Gladewater. We are now in Rayne, LA. Had my Allison and drive train serviced yesterday pm...by RV Mobil Lube from Houston, Texas (rvmobilelube.com). Great service, reasonable, knowledgeable and does Gassers and DP's!

Now, they are a full Michelin distributor!

Welcome to the Forum! Haier, is the World leading company in "White Goods", at 10.2% of the World Market. Headquarters is in Quindao, China. Haier acquired GE in 2017 for US$ 5.7 Billion. Service on Haier Appliances is via Home Depot or Penny's! Ownership of Haier is rather vague, but most figure that it's 50.1% State owned and the rest via a consortium set up by Blackrock Investment, whom along with Merrill Lynch, was acquired by B of A Investments! Welcome to the Forum! Model of Safari? Where are you? You could call REV Group and ask Tech Department, they may have it in stock, if it's OME. Carl

I think we can safely say that the OP found some one, who will drive the coach at the departure date that she want's! I got the impression, after her response to Kay, that it was not a emergency for now, but rather, when it warmed up more on the E. Coast. If you wish to pursue the rest of this discussion, lets move it over to Camping or "what's happening, who is where", in General Discussion.

Welcome to the Forum! Sorry, I can't help you myself, but I'll pas the word and some one will do it.

Thank you Joe. Only chassis I have not had, is the Peak. Brett can talk about that one! Not much to add....they are all good for their own applications! I do miss Gillig and Magnum! My current Spartan K2, should be a K3 on a 45' coach, a tad to much sway because of the weight. Mine should also have had the DD500 instead of the Cummins425 for the same reason!

They say, "There's a sucker born, every 12 seconds"! Think Al Gore proved that...

FRESH WATER TANK FILLING WHEN HOOKED TO CITY WATER
manholt replied to wla7pca7's topic in Type A motorhomes
It also could be that your fill valve is open, as DD69 suggested, or it's gone bad. Mine was plastic and would no longer close, so I replaced it with a brass ball valve. No more problem, until I had to replace my back flow valve 3 months ago. If you hear your pump start/stop when on City water...bad back flow valve. My water pump is also in a bad location in my water bay! -
TT. As Jim S. can tell you, today it's BBNP and BB State Park, other than that, it's mostly privately owned Ranches. There is nothing empty about it. Lots of daily traffic in and out. Buffalo, Elk and Bear could not survive there! The Grey Wolves, Coyotes and Cougars are still there in numbers. So are the Camels, but mostly on the East side of BBNP. The Robertson Family of "Duck Dynasty" fame, has a 289,000 acre Ranch and Game Preserve, between Hwy. 90 and BBNP on the NE side. Jaguars (Black Panther) you'll find in "The big Thicket" of SE Texas! On Hwy. 90 and I-10, in both directions, you'll have NAFTA OTR's, Driven mostly by Mexican Nationals....that's the agreement GW Bush signed with Mexico and that's the reason (in Texas), why we have a lot of Big Rig Violations! Herman, you posted while I was typing! I'm on subject/off subject, as you where often reminded by Brett, up till 3 months ago!

Well, Byron, you tell us! Why would it not be costly?

8-10 people? Sounds like you need a Prevost VIP Coach....look at Prevost-Stuff.com I have an American Coach 45 foot and would be hard pressed to seat 7 comfortably ! I live by the 6-4-2 rule. Can seat 6, feed 4 and sleep 2. Anymore, take it outside!

Richard. Big difference between what Norcold or Dometic put out in the 70's & 80's..compard with the last 25/30 years! The 1200 has been nothing but trouble since it came out...lot's of fires. The last one I had was in a 1997 Allegro, it worked and there are others out there that work. This Forum and others have OP's with nothing but trouble!

Now, all you got to do, is throw out the NOCOLD and get a Residential Fridge along with some extra batteries!

Here in Texas it seems to be a mixed bag, same in NM and AZ. NAFTA is the biggest culprit and a Joe indicated, the temporary CDL holders, but all in all, I can't really complain. The ones who are bad, overshadow those that are responsible, courteous drivers! Joe S. UGH !!!

1/4 cup will keep you bubbling for the hot water dump and about 2 more! I use a couple of squirts along with some Calgon in my gray and black tank about 4 times a year. All depends on how long between dump's. If I'm in a Park for a month or more, then before I leave. Same at house. Brian, I have a reel hose, so I unhook from faucet and pull all the line out and pour a quart of HP 3% into water hose, hook up to faucet and run some water in, shut off faucet and let hose lie for 10 minutes, then turn on water and open faucets along with shower, run thru and shut off. Let sit 15 minutes and rinse out. You can do the same with Fresh water tank, but there I put in a gallon to a 1/4 full tank, then add water to 1/2 and let sit for as long as I want...sometimes I'll go to the next park and if you need to flush, no problem! At the next park, I'll open all faucets and run half of fresh water tank thru, then switch over to city water and shut everything off. Fill up fresh water tank and your good to go for another 6 mos.
