  1. FIVE. Your really in a S & B home? I thought you was full time Hobo! Riding the rubber wheels, not the steel rails!
  2. Yeah. GS has 2 magazines, one is MotorHome and the other is Trailer Life! We, per Jr. editor, can't do that "it's to expensive"! That reads to me as, "It would take away from our raises and high salaries"! GS have not missed a beat in 30+ years! Where did we make the wrong turn?

    Tire Blow Out Game

I have often wondered how they all, and all RV types, got from point A (home) to B (any winter snow bird location), to begin with! Then they all hop into their toads, or trucks, and suddenly forget how to drive! Right turns from left lane and the opposite, no turn signal and doing 55 in the fast lane on the 75mph turnpike! Totally
  4. Roland, do a search on the steering gear, upper right corner, we have a rather lengthy and informative post on that, just don't remember the year...think it was 2014.
  5. Joe S. Now, when you run across bad weather, you just find a place to safely park the DP, turn on generator and stay nice and dry! With the 5'er you got real wet getting from truck to RV and most don't have a generator, slosh, slosh or your stuck in truck. With a 350 it's a pain, with a Peterbuilt it's doable!
  6. Yeah! Surprised they did not jump on it...or maybe they want to wait until it get's warmer and at their convenience!
  7. I sent you a PM and gave you the contact information, to the only person I know on Forum, who boondocks all the time by Solar Power! Did you get in touch with Bill Edwards? Per your post, I will assume it was to much of a bother! Good luck and hope it all works out for you!
  8. Good Luck ! DD69, Ditto on the flawless and like Real Estate, disclosure is paramount on everything!
  9. Ray. Thank you for your service! VN, 17 years of BS! Got my 22 months in with the ASA.
  10. Roland. What part of this big country are the in? Why not use Freightliner? Carl
  11. "When the rig is rocking, don't come knocking"! Guess they was in a hurry!
  12. Call FMCA and speak to Member Service's. I read the article also, so it should be in the digital issue! It's a member to member service...like stop overs or member mechanical assistance! All that used to be included in our January issue of FMCA Magazine!
  13. Welcome! Class A or C in same length, engine and weight has about the same wind resistance. As long as your not trying to "hot rood" it, my guess would be about 9+/- ! As Bill said, there are a lot of variables....like elevation, road surface, hot/cold days, wind direction, speed, how you drive, etc. Have your coach weight, front back, side to side..with every thing you take with you! Then air up tires according to recommended weight. After 1,000 miles you should have a good indication of what YOUR mpg average is! I would use mpg to calculate fuel stop's! Meantime go have fun!
  14. Is it the paint or clear coat? My clear coat has to be replaced above my windshield. Upper right corner of this page, there is a Search Box, type in what your looking for or find rsbilledwards Avatar and send a PM to him....he is a paint expert, among other things. Right click on Avatar, you'll see a envelope, click on it and you can send questions direct.
  15. WBill. Several times at truck stops for fuel, varying reasons to do so. Backed up at Canada border in 1982, they would not allow me to make a U turn or to disconnect toad, my DW sat behind the wheel of toad...about a 1/4 mile! Hope never to do that again!!!
  16. eodted. Welcome back! WBill is right. You got the coverage, use it. I'm sorry, but I'm over 1,000 miles away!
  17. Post it on FMCA RVillage and iRV2. I don't believe any member of this Forum, would be that dumb...then again.
  18. LA. State Fair in Shreveport, LA. October. Did not see any tractors, but plenty of animals and tea cups! Florida State Fair in January...everything you want and cool weather!
  19. Moonwink. Just make sure the DOT date is no more than 3 months old. That's hard to do, when you don't have visual, before you pay for them!
  20. Yeah, I know. I still think of Lucky and our 15 years together! Linda has 2 dogs and I get along well with them, but their not mine and they both remind of that, when Linda is not present. They miss their owner!
  21. Mark. The OP wrote, "New B's built on the Ram Van"!
  22. Contact NHTSA. They are currently investigating the 95 death's associated with the G159 tires, that was produced until 2003! Did you write down the DOT numbers on the Wall Mart tires and looked at the DOT # before you bought them? How about the replacement Firestone's or your coach tires?
  23. Update on the G159. The last set made was in 2003. There was not much info available in the past 15 years, due to records being sealed by the courts, and just this year was un-sealed. So now the National Safety Board can start doing it's own investigation. That's why it's now being posted on car/driver news! Any and all G159's have been pulled off the shelf's for testing! So, Joe S. you need not worry about that tire anymore, should there be any around the country, you'll likely find them on a rust bucket in a field or Junk Yard.
