  1. Why? Are you Lost? You have come up with several dozen heading's, since last July...this is by far, the most loony! I can only guess, that it pertains to those who full time, in witch case it dose not pertain to General Discussion! When your dealt a hand of Lemons....Lag Citrone Safte!!!
  2. Herman. Makes sense to me, Catch 22! ktconners. From what I have read and been told by FMCA, hate to be crude, don't hold your breath! April to July, to ???
  3. Joe. My 450DH is 140 pounds empty, 185 full. 12x18.5x28.5 !
  4. Same principle, same maintenance. Oasis = less expensive maintenance, smaller and lighter.. 14x14x26 at 26 pounds, self contained, 55K BTU, cheaper replacement cost. There are 2 other heathers like AH & Oasis. Webasco and Hurricane.
  5. Jim S. Just do it. When your out on the road or in a campground, it gets plenty of workout, by washing dishes or body. I wash dishes on electric side and take my showers on Diesel side. Off course this past December and January...the furnace was on 7 out of 8 weeks! Had my annual service 1/26/18, along with engine and generator..next year I get to add Allison and brakes and...
  6. Sorry John, down here, we call that certifiable and dumb. Especially in a Wintertime Nor'easter! Give your son, when he defrost, our thanks for his Service!
  7. Even with my set up, if dry camping and on inverter, the generator will turn on when batteries run down and recharge them...As long as I have useable fuel. 1/4 tank or more!
  8. Nan. Your rig has a generator, charger and converter...the converter gives out 12V DC to run your Furnace Fan, Water Pump and all internal Lights. The charger is 120V AC for your Microwave, Batteries for house, TV , fridge...This is per the wiring diagram for a 2007 FR Sunseeker, Class C, 2600 (26 foot)!
  9. Joe S. It happens all the time. Tires are ordered by the chassis builder and put on prior to shipment to coach manufacturer, then you get coach...It's up to the buyer to be aware! Do you check DOT when you buy a new car, or that trailer you got, or the trike?
  10. 19jcm79. Welcome to the FMCA Forum. As you can see by my post above. I have Michelins now, 8 of them, I run 315/80R/22,5 in front. The rest are 295/80R. I will be getting new tires again, in 2020 and they will be Goodrich, by Michelin. Less expensive, they're not paying for all the advertisement, so less over head and they are just as good, as the one's I have now! Safty is number 1 consideration, when your pushing 56,000 pounds down the Highway.
  11. We depart Saturday also, for Paterson, LA., with a short stop in Kaplan, LA. Here in Burnet, TX. the front is coming thru with 25/35 mph and a lot of rain..went from 68 to current 44 in about an hour and feels to me, darn cold. It will be in NE in a couple of days! With the offshore low on East Coast, I hope this won't be another "Perfect Storm"!
  12. And the beat goes on! The last 2 years, has been nothing short of Confusing!!!
  13. Joe. Good grief! I'll take the case with the 3 pistols, including the pistols!
  14. Brett. Had to go back to August 2017. She has a 26 foot, Class C, Forest River. I will presume that it came with a Onen 2.5 0r 4 KW generator!
  15. Eddie. Look in your engine manual for how many quarts of oil your engine holds. Don't go by the dip stick, unless it's been calibrated. After you have changed the oil, pull the dip stick and check level. If your above or below full mark, mark that spot so you can use it to check if your losing oil as you drive!
  16. I'm not close to being very handy with tools. I like and have both Kobalt and Craftsman! For power tools, I have Milwaukee! My SO Linda, has enough tools to make Joe L. green with envy...Her deceased husband was a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer who had a water drilling business and was a well known gun smith! Tools for every occasion...all Snap-On! He also made his own tools for special projects. You want to light up like the 4th off July, come and steal.
  17. First of all, a generator will run a microwave...go with one that can also charge your batteries and as Richard said a good 1000 inverter...you'll be fine! How's the health doing? Welcome back!!!
  18. Wayne. I'm sure Herman "The Temporary Man", will share with you! We got DIRECTV, mine became an add on at $25 per month! Linda has 4 Antennas, 2 house, 1 camp and 1 coach...now 1 other coach! I just finished watching the Olympics on 3 domestic, I foreign channel 24/7. I taped the foreign channel and 1 domestic, 24/7, just got rid of 90% off commercials... Kept the other 10% that was, LOL!
  19. When you say "Dry Camping", is that on Solar or Generator or both?
  20. I'll give you a heads up on the "Skeeters", in a couple of weeks...we will be in Kaplan. LA. the 4th and Paterson, LA. the 7th to 11th! Cruisen Cajuns in Lent, that should be interesting!
  21. Joe and Jim. Ditto X2 ! No comparison between an over sized suburban and a DP!
  22. Lucas Slick Mist...6 rims = 30 min., max! Once a month, rinse at each campground. If you don't let the grim build up, it's easy to keep clean! Added benefit, if you see black grease, have your seal looked at ASAP.
  23. The older you get, the less you need of some and more of others! Per my departed Mother, DR. A. Christensen!
  24. Joe. I take a multi B, 3x week...no help and I hate sweet tea!
  25. I have yet to understand, why we have Mosquitos and Fire Ants! They serve no useful purpose that I can see!
