Eddie. Look in your engine manual for how many quarts of oil your engine holds. Don't go by the dip stick, unless it's been calibrated. After you have changed the oil, pull the dip stick and check level. If your above or below full mark, mark that spot so you can use it to check if your losing oil as you drive!

Hand tools, Craftsman or Snap On or ???
manholt replied to punxsyjumper's topic in General Discussion
I'm not close to being very handy with tools. I like and have both Kobalt and Craftsman! For power tools, I have Milwaukee! My SO Linda, has enough tools to make Joe L. green with envy...Her deceased husband was a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer who had a water drilling business and was a well known gun smith! Tools for every occasion...all Snap-On! He also made his own tools for special projects. You want to light up like the 4th off July, come and steal. -
First of all, a generator will run a microwave...go with one that can also charge your batteries and as Richard said a good 1000 inverter...you'll be fine! How's the health doing? Welcome back!!!

Wayne. I'm sure Herman "The Temporary Man", will share with you! We got DIRECTV, mine became an add on at $25 per month! Linda has 4 Antennas, 2 house, 1 camp and 1 coach...now 1 other coach! I just finished watching the Olympics on 3 domestic, I foreign channel 24/7. I taped the foreign channel and 1 domestic, 24/7, just got rid of 90% off commercials... Kept the other 10% that was, LOL!

When you say "Dry Camping", is that on Solar or Generator or both?
-
I'll give you a heads up on the "Skeeters", in a couple of weeks...we will be in Kaplan. LA. the 4th and Paterson, LA. the 7th to 11th! Cruisen Cajuns in Lent, that should be interesting!
-
Joe and Jim. Ditto X2 ! No comparison between an over sized suburban and a DP!
-
Lucas Slick Mist...6 rims = 30 min., max! Once a month, rinse at each campground. If you don't let the grim build up, it's easy to keep clean! Added benefit, if you see black grease, have your seal looked at ASAP.
-
The older you get, the less you need of some and more of others! Per my departed Mother, DR. A. Christensen!
-
Joe. I take a multi B, 3x week...no help and I hate sweet tea!
-
I have yet to understand, why we have Mosquitos and Fire Ants! They serve no useful purpose that I can see!
-
Without the pads, you would have left holes. All asphalt surfaces, are not created equally, some have other mediums mixed in, to create strength and durability!

I can't use my Texas EZ on the East Coast, same in reverse. But, if you plan on visiting your kids more than once, then get EZ tag/tags, for the States that you would most likely be on a Toll Road.

Then there is the average retired RV'r who we call "Snow Birds". Most, use their RV to go from their House, to where they spend winter, back to their house & that's it. Then you have the ones in the South, who does the opposite in Summer! A lot of variables

Yep! I also have a binder, hard copy by State! -
2010 coach, purchased in 2013, took possession January 2014 with 27,600 miles, now have 73,000, about 15,000 a year! Let the good times roll !
-
Wayne. Redmond. OR in August 2014, stayed mostly in the 75-80 range, and rained at least once a day for a couple of hours! In West Springfield, Mass., it was in the 90's and humidity! Granted, it's no fun at 110+ ! Fry an egg on the hood of a car, yea it works!

Mine are coated, wash with water and soap, rinse...done! Herman. They are all from Florida. The wash/wax crew at Six State, Texarkana, was from Florida...same at all FMCA Rally's!!

When I was traveling alone, 27 years. I turned to the Food Chanel, on line...I have a complete pdf file by State's of "Dinners, Drive inns and Dives", in my computer! Paula Deem, in Charleston..good place, so is just about every other restaurant in that town! -
Mark. Your coach don't weigh 45,000 to 56,000 pounds...therefore those pads should be OK for most, not all surfaces!
-
Wayne. Mine is pre set, so it's on all the time, then I can dump the air and it makes cornering easier, not much but easier on the scuffing. Yours is a combination because it's also a steering tag (I think on Freightliner it's +/- 11 degrees) .
-
David. Don't forget about the "Yellow Rose of Texas"! That will keep you busy. Jim S, Wayne, Herman. How was the mosquitoes? Some are big enough to deep fry the legs, taste like chicken!!! So, I have been told. Wayne, Jim. Was that "Boys night out"?
-
In Redmond, OR. I don't recall any reflective heat and I was on asphalt. I generally use air level, unless it's windy...20/25mph + gust's!
-
Jim S. I looked up "Snap Pad'. Great idea for a Gasser A or C, or 5'er! Could not find a weight chart, so I don't think it will support a big rig! It snap's on your pad, so you don't need wood or other medium under your jacks!
-
Jim S. Subject is, leveling pad replacement, sub heading "Cool Jack Pads"! Your question is in those parameters and I would also like to know!!!
