  1. Cdriffter99. Welcome. There are other factors involved, besides rim size. Is there enough distance between the 2 tires on the drive axle, so they don't rub against each other, when rolling? As for fitting on the rims you got, I don't see why not. You will have to set your odometer for the 295's and you will loss mpg, due to the increased weight of the tires...each 295/80 weight more than the 275/80! I went from 295/80R to 315/80R in front only and lost 1/2mpg! Your GVWR should stay within the parameters set by the chassis manufacturer...in other words, don't try to change the weight limits, that are listed.
  2. Folks in Tennessee and some surrounding States, does make good Shine! I'm partial to Apple and Honey!
  3. Not found of dirt either! The one thought you forgot about, is the inside of the tire, that we can't see! I will not bet the life of my loved ones or myself on a 10 year old tire! All my used tires goes to a friend, who use them on hay trailers, that never see the public roads!
  4. Gira. 12V Battery = 13.1 to 13.2V When fully charged. 6V Battery = 6.4 to 6.6V The 6V is in series of 2 to = a 12V battery! My coach has 2 inverters and each is 4, 6V batteries! Think Golf Cart. All of my house batteries are AGM's, that means that I cant add water, they are all sealed. More expensive, but less to worry about. Desertdeals69 is correct, in that on your panel it gives a 12V reading not a 6V....same with my panel, I get 12V reading of each bank!
  5. Mike. Alligator Fish? Don't think so! Alligator Gar! Definatly a fish! But you can have it..Ugh. I'm in Patterson, LA. & surprised I have not seen Turtle on the menu! Have seen every thing else, including Hot Dog Poo Boy!
  6. Bill, you mowed in the rain? Now, that's what I call dedication!
  7. Since my dead DW, was from Lebanon, NH and her Mom & Dad was from Quincy, Mass. I have eaten enough Chowder, Lobster Stew and Scrod to fill up all the wooden boats in NE...I'm also no stranger to Buzzard Bay (got to go over the bridge), for the Cape! Try the Union Oyster House in Boston or the Oar House Restaurant in Old Lyme, Conn. I have forgotten all the places we ate at in, Sandwich, Hyannis, Wellfleet and Providence! Not to forget the coast of Main and Lands End.

Been there, done that. That's the reason I no longer have my 2011 Allegro Bus, bought that POS new! On the other hand my current 45', also was built on a Monday...Could have built a coach for what this POS has cost me in the past 4+ years! All quality stopped in 2006 & 2007!
  9. GailH. Welcome to the Forum! Are you anywhere near the back side of the Costal Range or San Gabriel Mountains? Your more apt to find a certified service in the high desert, a lot more Propane home tanks there, than in LA, San Fernando Valley or San Bernardino! Is the tank portable, like on a trailer or mounted in a coach?
  10. 72 today in Morgan City, LA., Next system is Saturday with rain! I'll float my yellow ducks then... Got a Backers dozen this year!
  11. greenbarn1. It would help you and all of us, if you would not put the "Cart in front of the Horse"! In other words, buy the coach first, then install the service line!
  12. Mine have not failed yet...I spend Summer in CO. On your other Post your looking at 2018 Fleetwood Discovery...American Coach is a Fleetwood, but totally different animal.

greenbarn1. If your thinking about replacing your (if you get the 2018) 275/70R with 295/80R, FORGET about it. Other than that, I see no point in this Post !
  14. Gira. Before you buy anything, you need to find out why your losing water. Sounds to me like you have a bad 6V battery and it's causing the others to cook! I would also look at the setting of your Float Charge...6.4V is normal.
  15. To all Vets. POTUS Trump signed the Bill today. So now, we who need the VA Hospitals, can pick any Hospital we want, and not wait in line any more!!! Thank You, President Trump!
  16. kwright. Welcome. I have taken it both ways. 18 has a few bumps in Hobbs. I run 285 to Artesia, then 82 to 529 to 62 and p/u 18 in Hobbs. I like it a little better than 285, but any roads in that area is going to have a lot off Oil field traffic...24/7/365!
  17. My bad. With a thousand apologies!!! I could and did think it was Wayne. I shall endeavor to do better, in the future, George! Or was that La Vern?
  18. Close enough, lot of roads I want to take from point A to B, but I-35 is not one of them! Same with US 95! Ugh
  19. Albe52. Welcome. Google Gas buddy and you'll find the best price in any State, any area! As Wayne said, you don't have to look for a Truck Stop for fuel. I'm 45' + toad, so not much choice, other than I try to stay away from, FJ, Pilot, T/A and Love's...prices are 10 -20 cents higher per gallon, then you get your, "feel good discount", and still pay more, than the Mom & Pop place down the road ! I also stay away now, from Shell, since they only take debit card and cash! I have a 150 gallon fuel tank.
  20. firststring. The last time that I was in that area, I came out of Barstow to Mojave and took 395 all the way to Susanville, then took 36 to Red Bluff and I-5N. I have a 45 foot and had no problems any where! I can remember, 99 when I worked in the Bakersfield Oil Field, USNAVY Oil Reserve. That was in 1978 and 99 was a bad road then! I would think that if you live and play in CA., you would know, every road in the State.
  21. That should make DW happy! Until she realizes that the mirror was kind of nice, or she comes with another oval mirror...wait for it Joe, something is coming!
  22. firststring. Welcome. Where is home? Also, what make, model and length of your coach?
  23. TT. Bottom line is, the sidewalls, will show cracks and spider webs, long before the tread wear show. Most all of us will change out all or some after 5-7 years! Therefor a 10 year warranty to me = zip!
  24. Roland. 83 to 44 to 281 to I-2 in Edinburg, then East to Harlingen! It's all good roads. Bill. I-35 goes to Laredo...Not I-2 ! I-35 also goes to San Antonio and then all the way to CANADA!
  25. Joe. Our coach shed (end of year garage) for both rig's are cement, covered by a thick layer of epoxy, works the same as rubber...we have never "Covered" the tires! Linda in 36 years and 5 rigs, me in 51 years and 17 rigs! Tires are changed out in 6-7 years, weather you cover or not! Never even knew about covers, until early 1990..
