FIVE. Frozen over for Texas, even had snow down in Brownsville and freezing rain into Tampico, Mexico!
-
Your right, Rick...oops! Most folks that I have talked to, about 1/3 is the norm on a new coach!
-
Jim S. Me, yes! Coach, NO!
-
I know of a Prevost XL II, that had a renowned artist do a whole coach paint job and it's black and white cracks...$62,000! Yea, it's in Texas! Ugh
-
Rick. 30/35 is normal for new...35/40 used. The dealer already got the used coach at low ball trade-in! My current coach, I got used, 3 years and 26,700 miles old = 35% off top end retail NADA. Right place, right time. They practically had my 18 month old Allegro Bus sold, before I moved out. LOL

Seeking Recommendations: Liquid Chemical Cleaners
manholt replied to Rewillia's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Rick. Buffer & Wax? Kay. I'll revise that, I like china bowl, just not with macerator built in! Electronic sensor gets a piece of something on it and you get the red light, then you can't flush, until you use the outside black water back flush, to clear the sensor. That in a thunder storm and it's raining, like a cow pissing on a flat rock, or it's below freezing and the winds at 20mph, makes you appreciate the foot pedal toilet. A lot. -
Agree with that. No fun getting to a RR over pass and reading "clearance 11' 6" and I'm 12' 3"....got that T-Shirt.

Herman. He has to go thru the nasty -30/40 that we had all January...I would wait to -20 myself. F438921. You will be fine! Enjoy the warmth in AZ. -
What FIVE is saying. I have 2 PSW 2800 inverters, 4 AGM 6V on each. Brett, I can not run AC off of inverter. I do have the generator set to come on automatically in the event of Shore power loss or when batteries hit 11.8V (it reads 2 together), when on inverter. Mine is a Tradition, FIVE's is 4 years never than mine and it's a Eagle & why his is wired that far from mine, is above my pay scale!

Gbar. Welcome to the Forum! This post is almost a year old....suspect he sold the coach!

What's Your Yearly Budget For Maintenance Costs?
manholt replied to mweiner's topic in Type B Motorhomes
Mark. 4 door, custom made for a family member. I have it on a umbrella insurance policy...not expensive at all. Last month, I got a really good deal on a MB 2005 AMG 55 convertible 2 door roaster, 24 valve, 493HP. The last 55 AMG built before the Daimler take over. Yes, I drive it, for the same reason as Richard stated. Brett, I do believe this thread has run way away from OP! Feel free to shut it down, before it gets to personal. -

Mark. Perhaps you should study a little more about cars, truck and RV's that are older than 20 years old...Think Jay Leno's collection of Antique vehicles are due for the scrap heap? He's got vehicles that has less than 30 miles or 7 hours on them and they all are in excellent condition...yes he has 3 full time mechanics helping him, the important part is that he can take them all apart and put them back together again...Oh, he also has a large assortment of Motor Cycles! I got a 1972 Bentley with 1,913 miles on it...by your standards, I guess I should just throw it away? -
Hard to make out anything since the photo is into the sun...best if the light is behind you!
-
Kay. I think it's the light, I also think there is a wire that is replaced on the wrong post, when he installed the batteries...200A is quite a blow.
-
Dan, I don't do facebook, but have been told that FMCA is offering $45 membership + a free tool set !

Seeking Recommendations: Liquid Chemical Cleaners
manholt replied to Rewillia's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
I use Calgon, 1/4 cup in a quart of warm water every month on the road. CLR = Calcium, Lime, Rust remover....1/2 cup straight in bowl, let sit for a couple of hours when camped or as long as possible when your driving before flushing. Every 3 months! China bowels are a pain to keep clean, especially the macerator kind...I hate them! -
Storage End Of August To End Of October: Los Angeles
manholt replied to jobob04's topic in General Discussion
Long term parking at LAX Airport? The problem with that area other than it's enormous size, is that most of the cities have ordinances against all types of RV's! It would also help to know what kind and size Coach your talking about storing! I would look for a place around San Bernardino..may I ask why 2 months? -
Joe, good work. Not easy on aluminum that thin!

Rick, I got the same system as you do. I use Calgon and CLR (keeps system including bowl clean)! If you get any odors in coach, it's from gray tank not black! -
I have one in front between the chairs and it's there to prevent tracking dirt into coach. Whenever I use the floor heat, I roll up the rug! Remember that if you have heated floors, turn it off before you bring in the slides to depart!
-
Do not use the KOA, 3 miles west of the flats....nothing is even close to level and horrible staff. Very young and have no idea about the difference between a coach or trailer....the owner of the park is Marcus Lemonis, he owned 15 in 2014 and buying all he can get. (owns Good Sam & Camping World)!

Brett. Is there a reason why we would not have it more prominent ?
