  1. Depends, a loud bang in the morning=Linda is hunting Armadillo, that will get your attention at 4 am! Knocking on the door, is a lot more interesting!
  2. Both of my Magnum 2800's charges only my 8 house batteries. Have a trickle charger on my Engine batteries (2- 12Volt). All are AGM's. I did leave the coach inverter on and had no problems for 3 years...that was in a garage with 20A, 120V electric! Now, I'm on 50A all the time, even if the electric goes off, then the 22KW generator back up system comes on.
  3. Richard. Your right about cars sitting and not getting exercised enough. As Jay Leno said. "I take a different car out once a week"! With his massive collection, I presume he has a lot of employees doing the same! Cars, Motor Homes, Boats and houses, have the same thing in common...if you don't use them often enough, you'll lose them!
  4. Well, it did prove that if one is on the losing side of that, you start claiming your the inventor of all kinds of BS, like the internet. Did he really think that would make the chads go away? Leary. Great thinking! Been almost a year now, I forgot all about the Snowflakes and the PC thing!
  5. FIVE. Read my post...word for word in ref to coaches of 40' with tag...I know of 2, Newmar and Foretravel is the other! So, you don't misunderstand, Foretravel has 3 lines of coaches they make! There is one other, but I generally don't include it, due to $$$$, that is Newell...38 foot to 47 foot with steering Tag!
  6. Jim. Have you measured your coach? take a tape from outside bow to stern....bet your over 45 foot. Mine is a 45 foot chassis = 46 foot 4 inches! They go by length of chassis not including end and front cap! I drove a Dutch Star and a King Air last year, very impressed with ride on the K2 & K3 chassis....I have the K2 now. A friend keeps telling me that the new Freightliner/Daimler chassis is a 100% better than what I had in 2007 ! I'm skeptical about that, so no, I have not driven the Ventana yet! I'm never going back to a single rear axle again....Tag makes your road trip so much more relaxing and comfortable! I only know of 2 manufacturer's that offer the Tag on 40 foot. Dutch Star did a 38 foot Tag in 2015, don't know why they stopped!
  7. You also have an escape door in bathroom...LOVE that ! Why risk breaking a or several bones, jumping or slithering out an inadequate escape window...when you can have door?

    Toad Oil Change

As long as your not off roading, like me...you got the right idea! I never rotate my tires, but I do have my alignment checked every year. I have my front/rear differential checked for water each month that I have been off road, especially after fording streams and puddles, snow and slush! Air filter replaced every 4 month's! Lube every 4 months! Oil change every 3,000 miles! My Jeep has more towed miles than driven.
  9. Jim. My Linda want's the 40 foot Ventana, also with tag. I want one also...guess we will be a 2 Ventana family in sin! She want's a bath and half. I don't, not in a 40!
  10. FUNTIMEBIZ. Welcome to the Forum! I'm confused. Your sailing out of NYC, but why would you want to park your coach at any of the airports? Your flying back...I get that. Are you flying back from England? I suggest you find a RV Resort or KOA in New Jersey or PA. There are busses from the NY air ports. A cab from New Jersey to somewhere NJ or PA is your best bet. Now, if you want to replace your coach and toad, by all means, pick any one of the Airports. I have 17 trips on Cunard, from NYC-South Hampton & the reverse. Your other option is to leave your coach in a RV Park and take your toad to the Airport...I would fly in to Newark! I left my coach in a RV Park in Indiana, for 16 days, July 14 and drove the Jeep to Chicago O'Hare Airport (2 hr drive)! While we where in Scandinavia.
  11. All doors inside my coach, are pocket doors! I have to use the fridge or cabinet door!
  12. Dons, I said 3 day's, I stand corrected as of now, there is only today and tomorrow left. You really should have read every word I wrote!!! Mshumack. Welcome to the Forum! Do you own a coach or trailer? Some of our Forum members do not. Bill E. It's 74,000+ and that makes it even more pathetic! If it's yes, then I will expect that by this time next year, your 60,000+ will be correct. Chris. You have been around for a long time and would hate to see you go! Smithy, thanks for the update!
  13. Tmahana. Welcome to the Forum! Since you live in Arizona, you might want to compare the distance to the nearest Factory Service Centers. REV Group is in Indiana, Texas and Oregon! Tiffin is in Alabama! I have had several coaches by both Tiffin and Fleetwood/Allied/REV Group (REV is a division of Allied), IMHO Tiffin was great up to 2010. I had a 2011 Allegro Bus, POS and traded it in on my current coach...listed under my signature. Would I get another FW or Tiffin? No. My next coach will be a Newmar or Foretravel . They both make a 40 foot with tag axel...I and my SO love the Tag! She has a 40 foot Phaeton 2006, but she want's my tag on a 40. Happy SO, happy travels! Clay. Agree with you on all your points, except one. Power Gear by Lipper Industries is the pits (I have both air and Jacks)! Hard to get any customer service and a pain to work on!
  14. Since we, unlike OTR's, buy tires long before we wear out the treads, that's not part of our equation! However the rest is.
  15. I brought this Post back to life, as a reminder of the FMCA Future! YOU HAVE 3 more day's TO SEND IN YOUR VOTE ! If you have been dragging your feet, now is the time to send in your BALLOT with your VOTE !!!! Carl
  16. Thanks for the update and problem solved. I would be keeping a visual check on the batteries!
  17. If it's a gas cap. Turn off engine, remove cap then put cap back on and make sure its tight (I have had to do that a couple of times to re set code on a Ford truck). If that don't do it, take it to Ford Truck Dealer!
  18. Hello Chris, long time since last. Do they recognize FMCA or does one need to spell it out, when making contact? Thanks for all the help in the past ! Carl
  19. Just read this whole post from 2011...YES ! I really think a National Fishing Lic. would be great and I like the idea about having a home license along with State Stamps!!!
  20. Wayne. Have you weight your "New to you" coach yet?
  21. I suppose that also means we should wash all the road toxins off our tires before putting the covers on? I have not covered my tires in the past 39 months, since I had them put on in OR.! I guess that I'll take some pictures off each tire 39 months from now!
  22. Jim. Yeah, like we helped the Longhorns, when we got to La Grange, back in the 60's! Sorry, picture just came to mind...Pre Marvin Zindler, Channel 13 News! The Best little house in Texas! Mike. I do mine, Jacks or Air, manually! Reason is that I want interior of coach level. When my jacks work, I just use them for stability. Love your youngest son!
