  1. Back to mpg. I may be wrong, but I think that none off us that have large used or new DP's are all that concerned about mpg. My reason for DP is towing, air ride, comfort and space. Others have their own reasons. Back in 08', I was camped next to a lady that had a Liberty coach 06' and she told me that her mpg was 5 on a good day, but mostly around 4.6! I guess when you pay $ 1.3 million for a coach, mpg is not on top off wish list!
  2. Hi Rich. No load limit available, will call AMC. On that slide is the sofa, fridge, stove, micro wave, a third off my pots/pans (rest is under bus right side), 3 cabinets with dry goods and paper file, 1 cabinet with spices and a slide out drawer with canned goods, the top is an extension for counter top. I can move the can goods to bedroom. Since I'm alone in coach, I have a lot of space in rear. If the "clip" is missing, then I would think the roller would make noise when coach is in motion! Had that problem with last coach, clip was omitted at factory and made a loud rattling against tile. Until it was found and fixed, I would cram a towel between sub floor and tile. Carl C.

    Traveler Dish

So, I put a pedestal on the one I have and make a bird bath! $ 2,400!
  4. A little late, but thank you all. My dog is 15 years old and has arthritis, she is on steroids and refuses to use a ramp (like some people I know) but I think the rubber would help. Carl C.
  5. One is 2 May 2012, the other is 28 Dec 2014....on this page, just look for it. I don't remember witch one, but he did everything himself (first time) and I believe it came with pictures and very good details on hit and miss. Understand your situation and in awe of what you have already done....your way beyond my abilities and what I would even try! Happy travels Carl C.
  6. Ray, now that you are home, how is Tuffy doing? Hope it didn't run away! Carl
  7. I have a Traveler dish on roof of coach and got tired of Dish TV. Been told that if I want Direct TV, then I need to get a new traveler. Is that info correct or can I just buy Direct TV receivers and use my current set up? Wish Bill was still around! Carl C.
  8. I'll get one in morning (not at house). When I lift carpet up all I see is a metal strip underneath for whole length of slide. Don't know the width but looks like aluminum! Herman, like nighthawk, your both on the forwarding address!
  9. Perhaps it's my old age, but I get more and more "Salutes" now, than I did 10 years ago. I do not respond at all. Have no clue what their days like, PMS, or a gun in vehicle....seems there is a lot of "road rage" out there! I got a video camera on order for my dash. Carl
  10. cmarq, your an advanced member. We are just trying to be of help, nothing personal. What kind off flooring do you have now? Also, is the replacement floor the same height as current floor? If not, then you will have to adjust slide outs. We have members that are experts in flooring.... Good Luck.
  11. Rich, lifted up what part of the rug that I could and it's concentrated by the sub floor. It's doing a job on my tile...6", then 4", then 1" 1/2 rest of way in. I'm going to clean it up, including tile & pull slide in then out & see what happens. nighthawk. If it's super mouse, I will give it a forwarding address! LOL
  12. National VP INTO is David Kessler at dkessler@fmca.com send him a mail. A lot off the VP's are currently in Pomona, California for FMCA rally! Tight schedule this year. Carl C.
  13. I have metal shavings under rug, by fridge on my DS HWH slide! Slide works as usual in and out, the affected area is 6" wide in center off slide out! About 3 table spoons worth. Just noticed it. Any ideas?
  14. Ask Brett, I don't know. Never had one!
  15. Had Progressive, National and Allstate.... good, now expensive, somebody's got to pay for all the TV commercials! Now have Bluesky with disappearing deductible. No claim yet. Note: If someone hits you, use their insurance (if they have it) or your rates will go up until you have paid your insurance company back! My truck got "keyed" and USAA paid claim, my rate went up on renewal. Still use USAA on my toad and other cars/truck, also house. There are lots of "life insurance company's" that deal in RV insurance also! I and most of my friends don't have life insurance, but they use them for RV's.
  16. Ray. I was wondering who would react to the "downhill" part...LOL. Neil. Welcome. Your rig is a tad ( 9 feet ) over the length limit in most States. Nice looking coach!
  17. Your right, Bill! Nice thing about a MH is that we can get off the road and sit the bad stuff out and move around in dry comfort! Not so with a trailer, stay in truck or get wet on journey to trailer....He! He. Back to passing. Herman and Tom are spot on. In town on 2 lane roads and speed limits of 35 or 40, I take the left lane. On 3 lanes or more, I follow Tom! Stay safe, we are not in a sport's car and it's the journey that counts!
  18. Hi Lucky. I cruise at 63/64 mph, coach is 2010 Tradition, 45' with 4 slides, 2009 Cummins 425, Allison 3000...I run mostly in economy mode and put 16,000+ miles on coach last year. Toad is a Jeep Wrangler 2 door @ 3,900 pounds, coach is 60,300+/-....I get the same as Herman, 6.8 - 7.2 and I run generator when driving and Aqua Hot when I shower or do dishes. All electric coach! That's my 2 cents, another person could get more or less...we are all different ( ). Carl C.

    Regeneration

The last time my DPF light came on, I was on I-10 west of Houston. I maintained 63mph on cruise control and my engine diagnosis showed that exhaust #1 was at 650+/- and #2 was flexing between 1100-1200 degrees. It took the usual 15 minutes and happens at 2500-3000 miles. After 15 minutes the light goes out and the temperature on #2 exhaust is at around 650. My 425 Cummins is a 09'. Cummins Houston, services my coach every 14,000+/- miles and last year, they got to do it twice! Carl C.
  20. Ouch! That's a real bummer. Considering the history of your blown engine, I would talk to Cummins about replacing it with a 600,,,,$29K is a lot off money to put out on something that may happen again! Good luck.
  21. What do you need a hitch receiver on car for?
  22. Herman. It looks fine...not my smart wheel, but I get the idea. The first time I had a "Smart wheel" was on a 06' Southwind. All other coaches, back to 1967, had a plain wheel...some had a button on floor that operated the high beam! Sure do love the new wheels
  23. LOL. I suspect a hair ball, you get them in house and RV. I have 3 screws that hold the drain screen in place, but have yet to use it! Good luck. Carl
