  1. Jim. I think you have a fetish ! Carl
  2. Roadrunner. As Bill asked, does it go down more after the first quart? Carl
  3. Joe. Any of us would be more than happy to help, give you ideas, anything fits in FMCA. That might be the reason you have not found any chapters in PA. Time to think out of the box. You and Keon have on a small scale started something, get in touch with AZ, sure 1,800 miles away, but that's how INTO's are formed. Casual is in Ohio! Go for it guy's! Carl
  4. The last Pilot I was in, had a sign that said BIO up to 20%...I left. Right down the road was another TS that had no BIO and .189 cents a gallon cheaper! I probably took 90+ gallons. My last fuel stop was in Lufkin, TX. April 26. I got 99.274 gal. at $2.299 per gal. no BIO !
  5. Mileage under tow = Carl Ada's answer above! tomkathy. Get a break system for you toad, I agree not all state's require you to have one, ask your insurance agent. If you decide to visit Canada or Mexico you got to have one! If your in a accident, the Insurance company won't pay! I saw a coach in Florida on I-75S that had to do a panic stop with a Fiat 300 as a toad, no break on toad, it climbed up the hitch and flipped into coach engine! Carl
  6. Sorry, my bad...my mind apparently was out to lunch without me! Kay your right, sun shad's! Never mind the color part.
  7. This is confusing...Since the OP's question and everything else had to do with window power awnings...where did sun screen come from?
  8. Joe. At 45 foot and a toad, I don't even try! Only once, I was in a RV park and needed fuel for Aqua Hot. I found a "we deliver low sulfur, no BIO fuel", 50 gal. minimum at $4.00 per gal., I took 100 gal. Now, I come in with 100+ gal, to RV parks, summer or winter.
  9. If you use a metal detector make sure it's not picking up signal from cross beams (cage of body) but actual roof only!
  10. Kay. How did you get color selection and different size awnings? Could not find that on site.
  11. Brett, your right on, my place to fill up when I take 90E/W...I-10 is faster, but BORING. Have talked to enough OTR's to learn that Company owned rigs, go to Pilot, Flying J, T/A or Love's. Privately owned, go where the cost is lowest...there is a Chevron station on Hwy 59N, just before Livingston, Tx. that has great prices, also Hwy 149 just north of Mount Belleview, Tx. By the Correction Center (Jail). Now if you see no 18 wheelers in/or around a TS, there generally is a reason...I have run across some in different parts of the country that has a lot of trucks, but non at the pumps, they are there because of the food.
  12. Byron, I would call Tiffin Tech first and ask them what they used up there, then you'll know how best to keep the black stuff from weeping. AC told me to use a floor cleaner and ruff up the surface, then rinse with plenty of water until it runs clear...let dry and use a heavy liquid wax and buff it....that's what Joe does to his roof every year. My roof is fiberglass and I suggest you make sure that yours is aluminum...I have not heard about Tiffin ever using a metal roof, especially in their entry level DP !
  13. Ruidoso Coach Ranch, on Hwy 220 half way between Alto and the Airport (Private). I spent a month there last Summer and was hoping to spend time there again this Summer, don't know if I get a chance. FMCA Commercial member and coach owner, the live in Midland, TX. during Winter. Resort is $$$, check it out on Goggle. They have 29 sites on 25 ac. Non are for sale. Only restriction is Class A's or 40 foot+ Totters ! Carl
  14. BillA. Stay away from Buckee's in Mansfield, TX. I-45N...cost me 2.499, I asked why so high, we are in Texas was the managers answer. OMG, headquarters and the founders are in and Texan...I told him that Buckee's on I-10 in Lulling is $2.199 and I would call the main office.
  15. Do you have the schematic for the new TS ? What you had is a simple system.
  16. Depends on how big your rig is and size of fuel tank. I start looking at about 650 mile mark and I always use a Truck Stop...that's on Freeway! Secondary roads are trickier, so I use the same as Brett and start looking around 450 miles! I got a 150 gallon tank. Carl
  17. I like the ride of my Spartan K2 a lot better than FL or Powerglide!
  18. Bill. That stuff is on my roof...Per American Coach, you need to wax it once a year and that will make it shine. If you don't wax it, it will do like mine is doing, weeping white rivers down the side off coach each time it rains or heavy fog. Send me a PM for more info! Carl
  19. We called them Eyebrows ! Mine was a 67' Winnebago, I bought it new at the LA, CA. Auto show for $8,300 ! All I remember is that it was a rear bath, 2 narrow bunk beds, booth Dinette that made into a small bed, a barrel chair and a bed that came down from the celling in front !
