Gramps. The people who sell the FMCA Logo stuff, are a private enterprise and they know nothing, because they are not FMCA members! Regular Vendors. Jeff. The only problem I see with your info. only being for 60 or less...I bet there are a lot off Grandparents out there that are FMCA members and travel with their grandkids in Summer and don't go to FMCA Rally. because they don't know about you! I do, because I'm on forum...Think about it ! Carl

Herman, The fishing is better away from shore That's why they launch all the bass boats, so they can fish the shoreline!

Like Linda and her CAT350, she uses mostly 5th gear at 2000rpm to do 55mph up hills! I sometimes have to go into 5th at 1950rpm=66mph. I have 1250 torque...then there is the way the Allison is geared to max torque...think we covered that !

No! But there was and they may be still in Business, a Prevost Conversion Co., in Tennessee that built the coach for land/water operation. The craft was a houseboat shell and you drove your coach into it...your DP was the propulsion and you drove it from the coach! It was the featured coach in our FMCA Magazine, but I don't remember the year...thinking 10+ years ago! Carl

Wayne, don't feel bad. I didn't know they had one, till I read it here! I was there! Must have been by RSVP..

David. Welcome! I have the same engine, it's a 2009. Mine goes off about every 4,000 miles, Not knowing what year yours is, I can't say if a 07 or 08 has the same span as mine, but it does seem a tad excessive. Have you checked with Cummins? Carl

Ugh !

Roland, send a PM to Joe and VIN#. I hope it's a 06' then it also does not do a re-generation on a Particulate filter! 2010 or newer is DEF. My chassis and Engine is Dec. 09, coach is Jan 2010...no DEF !
-
Carl. Why not go with 315's?
-
Bill. First part, I agree! Second part, good luck with that !
-
Sorry Roland, you snuck in! It's not a race car, you should have no rust problems, engine will need some servicing, you got one of the best chassis made. Ref engine, is it a 06, 07 or 08? Other than that, it's a win, win coach.

Bill. Agree, but as Brett pointed out, some do better than others! In 2013 when I went along on I-10 in the dust storm that caused me to seek shelter in Deming, NM. I don't know what the mph was, they shut down I-10 for 18 hours from El Paso, TX. to Wilcox. With traffic on it ! Being able to see was my problem, not driving at 15-25mph! I was buffered, but I did not have a problem staying in my lane...biggest concern to me was the OTR's, trailers was wandering... Carl

BillA, that's the truth and that's why I left them and the tag at 295's...as I said !

Texas, I pay a total of $780 per yr. that includes the $7 annual inspection fee for a diesel, rest is weight over 26,000 pounds...my Jeep is $83 + $25 for inspection. Stay where your at or move to Montana or Oregon! Carl

Great looking coach you have, also thank you for some fine photos! We where there in Lot C 1, 5th and 6th st. Loved every day, dust and all. I applaud everyone of the volunteers, especially Steve and his Army, I can't see how anyone could possibly improve upon what you had to work with...2,600+ coaches! You can't fix Mother Nature and when it came to parking that many coaches, I found no flaw anywhere! I sent a mail to Jon Walker this am, saying the same as above! Thank you so very much for an outstanding job! Carl

Joe. Now you tell me! In July of 2014, I replaced my 2 steer tires, 295's with 315's and in August 2014, all 6 others with new 295's...my ride is great and I only have 19,000+ miles on the 295's and 21,767 on the steer tires!

dk. How does your coach behave in cross winds, 25+mph? Carl
-
Blake. Your right, you did not forget...Sorry, my bad ! Brett. Looks like I'm in TIME OUT...not you! Sharon. If you do find out your batteries are cooked. May I suggest replacing with AGM's, yes they do cost more, but last longer and you don't have to worry about over charging. Carl

Bill. Yes, Blake only uses his left hand to hook up at home, where ever that is at the time!

Bill, that's cold. Roland, when I look at coaches you might be interested in...I first think of your sons needs, secondly what you started this post with, steady ride! Carl
