  1. I have a 07'HD Classic Cruiser Trike and have found no good way to bring it with me! I also, have a HD Sportster that I take on occasion in the bed off a F 150 4x4. Every lift that I have encountered, has it's problems, so all my MC friends have gone to pick up trucks for any bike over 350#! Carl C.
  2. OK, but where do I look for serial number? Me, crawling under coach? Not a good idea!! Carl C.
  3. This has been on my mind. If I go with a Banks system, it will add more horsepower and, I hope, torque. I'm not concerned too much about MPG. My concern is directed to the transmission. Will the Allison 3000 have to be reprogrammed? What else could the Banks adversely affect? Carl C. 2010 AMC Tradition 45' 425 Cummins Toad=13' Jeep Wrangler 2 door.
  4. OK, Brett, another word for my vocabulary...what is anti-gel? How often do you use it? My coach takes a one month rest, over a 4 month time period in winter. Carl C.
  5. When the 10 year, class A only rule first came out, I knew they where shooting themselves in the foot (bank account)! There was then and even more today, class C, Totters, 5th wheel, trailers and custom coaches that I would love to have next to me.The length thing is also dumb! Brett is right on again...ck the unit out first, then make a decision. My Atty. in Texas, bought a Class A lot in one of CO. most exclusive resort parks, outside Colorado Springs. The owners had enough sense to think outside the box...it's a 53' pull behind, $4,300,000 trailer! 2 stories, 4 full wall slides. Freightliner delivers and picks it up. Would you turn away a Revcon or GMC in perfect restored condition? Just because it's not 30'+! I do agree that there are also units that should be junked a long time ago and they prevent the park from being what it should be. Or the park that has a lot of traveling construction workers...you don't know until you pull in, then I stay the night and move on. Carl C.
  6. OP has more problems than I have ever heard off! Had a 73' Landau that left the highway on delivery, went down a 200' embankment and caught fire. Was taken back to factory and rebuilt and it lived for 11 years, until we traded for a used 81' Apollo 3000 in 83'! Don't think yours is a fix! Talk to an Atty. about the Lemon law. Note for edandersson. If yours is a 28', how did you get into a 30'+ RV park in Creed CO. I read your post! Carl C.
  7. I was there in 2013. It's a large park, that takes class A, B, C, 5th wheel and pull behinds any age and size! In 2011, they started a private lot section along the river, that is the one that edandersson is referring to. So, Bill go check it out. I learned a long time ago, "never judge a book, by it's cover"! Creed is very beautiful and has lot's off things to do! I do not, as a general rule, stay in the 10 years RV parks. However, it does happen if I'm there to see or enjoy something and the other parks cant take a 45'! New England and the Key's come to mind, also Glacier intranational park. Carl C.
  8. Brett, I think your thoughts on elevation changes was dead on. I got in to Galax, Va. and went thru my gallons used and mileage from Portland via Galveston to Galax. The biggest change was mountains and 1 lane roads. I also, played the B-20 game in Lexington, Pilot had B-20 and I left for across the road was TA, no Bio advertised! Carl C.
  9. Agree with most off comments and use Brett's 90% of the time. The biggest challenge that I found was I-5 in North California and South Oregon this summer. One of the few Interstates that have a 65 speed limit, with 35-45 mph curves that are banked the wrong way (left turn is banked to right), a very stressful day!! Next time, I'll fly in... Carl C. National Director
  10. I carry 2 Pilot cards. One is the RV Frequent fueler advantage that gives me the discount. Found out yesterday that it is only good until end of this year, then you'll need the new card from GS life member, even my charter life member card will not work anymore! The other card is a Pilot driver payback, I'm truck number 101 CDL. I get truck discount and points for food, free shower, etc. I don't do Love's very often, found their prices to be higher than Flying J or Pilot. Like Brett, I use gasbuddy. If I can get in/out and the price is right, I'll fill up, most times it's less than 100 gal. Carl C.

    Pads For Jacks

Per FMCA we where told to bring pads or 2"x8"x?" wood, to place under each jack, so the jack would not sink in and make holes. I used my air to level, because I have yet to find anything, including wood, that does not crumble or crack as soon as the weight of coach sits on it! Metal is too heavy. I tried a piece of 24"x24"x1/4" Lexan, that don't work either, and anything thicker is very expensive, especially x4. Carl C. AMC Tradition 45' 2010
  12. All of you. I pumped my own and got 3 cents off of listed price at Seven Feathers (got players card), ACC pre-rally. Paid the listed price at TA. I did have to use attendant when I filled up Jeep in Portland, but not in Redmond, so Portland was a surprise! I have never had to pay more than listed price on Gas or Diesel rigs!!! I got to Oregon August 6 and left September 7th, via CO., got stuck in high wind, 40+ yesterday. Will head for Galveston today. Got family in Coos Bay area...think I'll fly next year! Carl C. AMC Tradition 45' 2010 Galveston, TX
  13. I don't know if Oregon is using Bio-Diesel, all I know is that while in Oregon, before, during and after FMCA Convention, I had lousy mpg. I normally get 7.2 to 7.4 mpg, in Oregon I got 5.43mpg. I do not use computer, I divide gallons into mileage. I got fuel at Seven Feathers Casino and TA at Exit 199 north of Eugene, OR. When I got into Utah, I took 112.3 gal. at Pilot in Bingham City and drove to Albuq. NM. Filled up at Pilot...7.65mpg. What gives? Carl C. AMC Tradition 45Y, 2010 425 Cummins
  14. No. 1. Forget class A lawsuits. Makes the Attorneys a lot of $$$. No. 2. Had ACC for a Blue water race boat, very high cost for premium and I expected that....but no claim was ever paid, I sued for $ 164,000 and they closed shop for 3 years, then re-opened in the Bahamas....stay away! No. 3. I have Good Sam on coach, not very expensive and have had no problems on 2 bills so far. AMC Tradition 45Y, 2010 Galveston, TX.
  15. Thanks, for the information that I have been reading, since you started checking on the BIO. I spoke with Onan and Cummins in Redmond, got a smile and a handshake. Like the old song, I felt that I was being screwed in a nice way. They tried to tell me that BIO was good for the environment and I should have no problem with my 09 Cummins 425 or my 2010 Onan. There was a lot of people in line at both locations (most for service) so, I got brushed aside quickly....do not have a fuzzy warm feeling! Rich, please keep checking! Would also be nice to hear from Wolfe and the Diesel Club on this issue! Carl C.
  16. Aug. 18, Superior Tire Service in Eugene, OR., replaced 7 tires on my coach. 1 was a 315 to match the one I got in Houston on front axle, the other 6 are 295's. Now have 8 new tires....the ride is greatly improved, and so is peace of mind. One of the 7, they replaced on my right tag at Epox Center in Redmond...it was flat. All old tires where DOT July 09. Current 8 are July 14 and one DOT Apr 14. FMCA Fleet program and no tax in OR. saved $ 2,019. All I had to do is call the 888 number, give my CC number and billing address....that was it. Paid labor, balancing to dealer and got tire receipt by Email. Carl C. AMC Tradition 45Y, 2010
  17. CW and GS is owned by the same person. No franchise. Both headquartered in same complex, Bowling Green, KY., CW has a western headquarters in Colorado. They are no help at all. CEO and founder is Mr. Marcus Lemonis. He is the one who called me, back in January. Google him and you'll get a very in depth bio. Carl C. AMC Tradition 45Y 2010 Galveston, TX. On the road.
  18. I suggest he sends a mail to Bowling Green, Kentucky. I did last January, problem solved and asst. manager was looking for a job! The CEO of CW and GS, wants only positive PR. Carl C.
  19. Jump on the 2 links that Wolf suggested. Then get an attorney who knows all about Montana, Oregon and California law. I can only speak for myself, I like being on the right side off all laws. As we say in Texas, you put the cart before the horse, if you can I would try to back out off the MH deal, until you get your ducks in a row! Carl C. AMC Tradition Galveston, Texas El Mina Shrine, we ride so kids can walk!
  20. Thank you Wolfe! Hope to see you in Redmond...currently in Canyonville with ACC pre-rally. Thanks also, to ObedB. Carl C.
  21. I'm not a full timer, but I spend on/off about 7 months a year in MH. Learned the freezer trick a long time ago and I have a brick of cash in there. All important papers, duplicate credit cards, testament, etc. including jewelry is in a bank box and the executor of my estate has a key also. That way if I need something, he can send it! I fully agree with Herman....you can replace anything, but you have to be alive to do it! Carl C.
  22. This is my dumb question. What kind off algae, or anything else, grows in diesel? Is this related to Bio fuel?
  23. ObedB, Sorry about that, 46 is where I topped off my fuel tank. Exit 19 is park. Looong day on I-80. Carl
  24. ObedB As Rich said, 2002 or newer...yours is built in 02, therefore you should be OK! Carl
