Iwpavo, I tried the sylvania also, since they wouldn't produce as much as the incandescent bulbs I returned them. I didn't want to risk another motorist hitting me from dim lights. Happy now with the ones I bought. With stuff like this I have found if you spen a little more up front one time you will never touch it again. I bought some cheap LEDs and they didn't last.

Yea, she's an organization fanatic and we both love cleanliness. That was taken while parked for the season.

Memorize it. It will help tremendously. Also not a bad idea to get into this habit of checking.

Toilet Parts/repair For Monaco Signature

When you push the flush button it the motor sounds like its struggling and the flap opens slow. Oddly its intermittent. -
2brew, because it's not a CDL I was told you do not need a licensed driver to go with you. I got that from the lead CDL test administrator at the Reading PA location. they will ask you to perform a full air brake test and Pre-trip just as its outlined in the CDL manual. While driving make certain to observe the bridge weight and height postings, after you cross they will ask you what the sign behind you read. If you can handle the coach on the road and pass the stuff above you should be good. They were more relaxed with a non-CDL than the regular CDL.

Toilet Parts/repair For Monaco Signature
jleamont replied to sdahmer's topic in Systems and Appliances
When mine goes again I will replace it with a foot pedal. I'm not a fan of the electric flush. Hopefully they make toilet with the same foot print with a pedal. It recently has begun to sound like its straining when you push the button. -
Hmm, mine chirps and rattles on occasion while driving, sounds like dry rubber chirp. I have found some chafe points on the screen door. One of those things I have to dig into a bit more. Are all of these doors this heavy? It's like closing a bank vault.

Tim, glad to hear, small world! Joe is a great guy, very knowledgeable. I love mine also, my turn signals are like little yellow headlights now.

sdahmer, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. I'm betting on a Thetford Aria. If so I rebuilt ours in 2014, very simple unit. Parts were a bit pricey. -
Ugg, well glad you found it, sorry to hear that. Where was the harness located?

Five, thank you for the recommendations. My weight rating is 23,000, most states do not allow that much on an axle although times are changing. I have always spec'd trucks with a 23,000 rear but we registered them lower, they held up better under abusive situations.

http://www.cabinbright.com/ I do not work for this company, many have asked me this in the past. The owner is a retired electronic engineer and a fellow RV'r (that goes a long way with me) and a nice guy to sit and chat with at RV shows. He gave me great pricing since I was flipping my entire coach in and out to LED (I had a mess of fluorescent light problems inside, most didn't work for one reason or another so it was time to act). I installed a few of his product's in our last coach and they held up great. His interior lamps are dimmable which was great for my spot lamp pods inside, most are not. Interior light photos of my project are here in the gallery

I replaced my exterior turn and stop lamps with LED. Every year at the Hershey show I would ask the owner of Cabin Bright when they were going to be available. They finally have them now bright enough with the LED's pointing in the proper directions to utilize the lens reflectors you have in your existing lights. He explained to me he wasn't going to put a product out unless it out performed the incandescent light. I also didn't need to change my flasher, not sure why. I did find I have a few weak grounds within a few sockets, simple enough to replace. I bought them and I am impressed and happy with the end result. All of my exterior with the exception of side, rear dock lights and my headlights are LED and are very bright.

American Coach Dream-- Turns Out To Be NIGHTMARE
jleamont replied to 1fatboyr's topic in Buying an RV
Roger, that is a great idea! If you do it in front of the others on the tour you might meet the "big cheese" pretty fast. -
remember the 2nd freightliner with the freeze plug issue mentioned above....well it just came in on the hook (tailgating a tow truck) EGR cooler ruptured.

Do they have 50amp with Water and sewer? I didn't see it on their website

I am considering changing my tire size since it is a hard one to locate and my space is limited to carry a spare (maybe under the bed). So here is what I have, axle specs (weight ratings). My steer tires are 15 months old, drives are 3 years old and are the incorrect size. Coach OEM size; 295/80R22.5 (I only have these on the steer, drive tires are a 295/75R22.5 truck tire Firestone FS560) Front axle weight rating; 13300lbs Rear axle weight rating; 23000lbs Here are my considerations; 315/80R22.5 concerns; width could cause tire kissing on the duals (.7" wider than the 295/80) ,overall weight of the tire is 13.3 lbs each heavier which results in more rotational mass that will decrease fuel economy. 11R22.5 (16 PLY) concerns; .6" (wider than my drives now) narrower tread pattern, air pressures table lower (not sure if this matters). Pro's, lighter, easily accessible, in my weight range same height as my steers. My plan was to replace the drive tires next season, for nothing more than the coach sits funny with a short tire on the rear and tall on the front and run the steers for another two-three years and replace them so all 6 match. Any reason why I shouldn't do this? I was considering the 11R 16 ply.

Bill, I removed a two burner Princess propane cook top and replaced it with a two burner True induction. here is a photo of the finished product. I like the fact that it cuts the interior heat down significantly and with good cookware it should speed up cooking time, the down side is from the sounds of it I have to replace more cookware. It also doesn't like my MSW inverter, which is fine since when I cook on the road I run the generator anyway, but while in transit down the road I installed a switch to shut the power off to it so I don't have to cycle the breakers when we arrive to reset the safety feature.

Question, what brand cookware do you use with your induction setup and how does it perform? Here is the reason for my question; I tested this in the house before permanently installing in the coach. I placed an All-clad pot on it (large one) 3/4 full of water and it boiled it in less than half the time the propane cooktop in the coach would do it. I checked the cookware in the coach to see if was magnetic, it was so I left it alone, tried to boil water for the first time with the no name brand stuff we already had in the coach and it seems like the quality of the cookware is having an impact on how well the induction works. The pot was half the size of the All Clad I tested it with and it literally took over a half hour to boil. I am thinking my cheap no name brand stainless steel cookware is my problem. The Frying pans I bought recently that were not cheap work great on it. So what recommendations do you have for a Stainless steel set and are you happy with it, or should I just go and purchase expensive gear like in the house? Thank you
