I believe this is the obstruction Carl is referring to

I was thinking the exact same thing! DD, all ok now?

Herman, I thought you were going to say no need to plan DW knows everything . When we first started camping we used the Goodsam trip planner for big trips. Now I do the same as Ian. Google Maps to get into a specific area, campground website directions from there. Then for an added level of security I will often use google maps street view to look at bridges to make sure we are not too heavy for them and check heights for overpasses.

, that response is priceless..wait.. “THAT AINT RIGHT” -
Oh my, that’s terrible!!

Few minutes ago I though someone was outside revving their engine, it was the wind roaring up the street .
-
Puff, our grounds for everything is under the cup holder in the passengers console along that wall. I had a ground issue and had to run one into it. Way to difficult to access
-
How’s the weather over there at home? You have to be in the same boat we’re in with the 70mph wind through tomorrow.

Carl, not that I am aware of. I know our chassis was discontinued in the 02 model year built in 01, was the end. I used it on ours and it was spot on.

Found this useful document to decode a Monaco vin should someone not know what chassis they have; ftp://safercar.gov/MfrMail/ORG5291.pdf

04 Trailing Arm Question - are these the replacements?
jleamont replied to williams01's topic in Type A motorhomes
Williams01, the passenger side looks cracked between the U-bolts. -
It was already broken, I just added to it. I carried it from its cubby in the back to the front and down the steps, once it began to clear the opening I tossed it! I wasn't going to step on my retractable step with all of that weight, between the washer and me back then was every bit of 500 lbs, Kwikee would have had a new record if it had survived! mandalay3, Herman is correct, they are heavy, I am guesstimating 180-225lbs. Once you know if fits make sure you have adequate help getting it into it's spot.

Rear compartment of a 2018 Winnebage Aspect 30J
jleamont replied to rj_winger's topic in Type C Motorhomes
To add to Herman's post above, I'd also have the rear of the coach weighed to make sure its not at max weight for the axle or overloaded already. Sounds crazy but I have seen a few class C's that were overweight before they had any belongings in them. If there is still availability back there then look at how its constructed, if need be you could lay plywood down to spread the load. -
I don't think that would help any, the controls are mounted above it and stick out just as far. I have to measure my door (curious now) but my Splendid went right through the opening at a relatively high rate of speed as it bounced off of my drive way just as it passed by . Those are heavier than they look!

Hydraulic generator Bay occasionally moving forward
jleamont replied to saab56@aol.com's topic in Type A motorhomes
Ours is a very simple system. One designated Pump, two hoses and one cylinder. We have a switch in the right front electrical panel and one at the driver. There is a light on the instrument cluster “GEN OUT” and an ignition lock out so you cannot open it while driving. I am guessing the cylinder is crossing fluid internally or the pump is bleeding fluid pressure off. Most hydraulic hose shops that do pump work could test the components if they were pulled and dropped off. On ours everything is out in the wide open. -
Ditched my Towing and Roadside Assistance
jleamont replied to hayesfamily's topic in Roadside Assistance
Keon, I ditched our years ago! waste of money in my opinion. With technology today at your finger tips, you can locate service easily and call them yourself. Plus you wont be dealing with the lowest bidder quality and delays that RS carriers seek out. I have been on the other end of those companies before, I can tell you from experience, you get what you pay for in attitude and quality, neither of which are desirable when you need help. -
Good, the brochure is accurate that I located. Can you photo the points you lubed? Here is a photo of an aftermarket sway bar on an RR8 chassis, does yours look like that?
-
We are thinking the same thing. My RM8H doesn't utilize sway bars and I don't believe the RR8 doesn't either (from the factory anyway). The brochure calls out 8 outboard mounted air bags, which is a concern its actually a trailing arm bushing issue. on a good note those are available aftermarket should it need them.
-
Mike, can you snap a photo of the bolts in question and post it? A picture back far enough to see the suspension arm or component in question.
-
YUP, same here! Its a notifiable difference with vs without it.

You and my DW were meant to be She always says, below 70 is too cold!
