I have a different take on Thousand Trails. I am a member and pay $585 per year. I stay in a Thousand Trails park from 80 to 150 nights a year. There is no nightly charge. Some of the parks are not a good as others but there are some really good ones like Seaside and Whalers Rest on the Oregon coast. Las Vegas TT is great for its location as I stay there several weeks a year going to trade shows. We can stay a most parks for 3 weeks and then go to another park the same day.

My yearly budget is zero. I fix what breaks when it happens. -
Spartan Chassis Wheelbase: 2017 Entegra Anthem 42'

You also need to check the turning radius between the two coaches. -
Also check the oil cooler and hoses and fittings.

How about one before or after Gillette in that area. Probably have more forum members in that area at the same time.

I didn't know that your cracks were that bad. On mine the cracks were just starting and it didn't get any worse for about 5 years and then I had a full body paint job.

Try 303. I used it for several years until I had my coach painted.

I think the problem would be there is no common wire. A drier has two hot legs with a ground. When you take one leg and the ground you do have 120v but you don't have a common (white) to complete the 120v circuit.

desertdeals69 replied to lionhouse75's question in Destinations/Attractions
We did Alaska on our own in 01. We had a toad and found it useful. We boon docked all the way. We took spare tires but didn't need them. -
On mine the ac comp belt had to come off first.

I had to change mine on the side of the road in Aug. I have a Freightliner with a ISB 275. No problem.

They make several models, mine is the one that flows in one end and out the other. As far as I know the element is the same or same media with the housing different. The one I tested was a prototype and then I ran with a production model. My new to me coach has the same production model. I don't have the model number on hand with me.

Since I did the field testing for K&N prior to its release and they monitored my oil using Blackstone Labs on a regular basis, the filter worked as it was supposed to. I changed coaches the past spring and installed a new K&N ail filter on it.

I would think a van conversion would be about as big as you wanted to go for a daily driver in town.

My guess is that the door is on the slide and the filler cap is in the normal position so the slide has to be in when fueling.

Should FMCA Allow Towable RVs-- Vote NOW
desertdeals69 replied to rossboyer's topic in FMCA Feedback
I bought my first RV in 1976. It was a 1969 Lifetime. I used it for 8 weeks and sold it and got a 1975 Pace Arrow. Joined FMCA in 1978. I was 38 years old then and I have about 400K miles on about 10 motorhomes since. I joined FMCA because it was for motorhomes only. -
If I had a choice I would only flat tow. I have done both and only in an emergency would I consider dolly towing.

I think the cable system is not the best one and I would be more concerned with Forrest River and their slow response time for warranties, One of our employees bought a new FR trailer before summer and it has been out of commission most of the summer and he is still waiting for parts right now that haven't been shipped.

2001 Safari Zanzibar Parsitic Draw On Chassis Battery
desertdeals69 replied to mnikisher's topic in Type A motorhomes
On the fancy switches it kills the rotor current before switching the battery cable to avoid blowing a diode.
